Hahahah this is my favorite comment. I was gonna say, “I just watched a man enjoy a rack of ribs, saying the same thing after each rib, and I’m not mad about it!” 😂
I agree Holy voodoo is salty but very good. It also is pretty spicy as well. So far I've only used holy voodoo on chicken. I would be interested in seeing a video comparison between holy voodoo, Killer hogs BBQ rub and Bad Bryans rub.
I use Holy VooDoo to lightly dust my ribs at the end myself because of the salt and also that it's got a bit too much kick for some. People seem to like the light dusting just to give it a little something extra.
The holy voodoo is very salty! You definitely have to be light with seasoning or your ribs will come out salty. That was my mistake the first time I used it
Does any of them have a Hot kick to them ? I’m looking for some rubs that have an awesome taste not much heat factor an heard you talk about the pecan ? An the honey hog BBQ rub that have like a sweet taste to it ? Thank you
Both the pecan and honey hog are good. Great taste and mild on the heat. Honey hog hot is sweet with a little heat but not much. All are very good. Thanks for watching Mark. Let me know if that doesn’t answer your questions.
@@GobbaGooBBQ I’m looking for some rubs that don’t have much of a salty taste I’ve mixed apple cider vinegar with Worcestershire sauce ! But wanting some rubs that’s not much heat in it but like the sweet taste ! I’m from northwest Ohio .and I like to BBQ for people an want some of the south goodness like Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee flavor of that makes since ! Something that’s different from my area ! To make them lick there fingers when there done eating ! I’ve seen it comes in a 14 oz to how ever many pounds
@@GobbaGooBBQ I really do think I will now just have to order them I got two pork butts was going to do today but my process don’t like to be rushed ! So witch other is it that has the pecan flavor
i Bought one of these to put on some chicken the honey hog recomended by 2 differn't people. Anyway I just went to academy and they got them on sale buy one get one half off for fathers day. I bought six more flavors ROFL time for some fun!
Both of the Gospel rubs taste like a bottle of paprika to me. One just has pepper. I’m always very surprised by their popularity. Holy Cow and Voodoo are fantastic!
Hey my pleasure I have to few videos to catch up. Have you tried any of heath riles rubs while meat church is one my go to . But lately on ny strips mix voodoo and the heath riles pecan rub is delicious esp seared off on the Gabby's grill.
SPG. It's for me! Basically anything that works on brisket but lower salt is how I treat short ribs. Fresh coarse ground pepper is a must with the "pink" salt.
Wait....let me get this straight.?!?!?... You did a bbq seasoning review prior to this video without a taste test??? Rookie move #everyone needs a second chance
