This is the second of a four part series of videos taken from the Wings of POWER 3 P-47 Razorback in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. In part 1 "Wings of POWER 3 P-47 Cockpit Familiarization with Accu-Sim," Scott Gentile of A2A Simulations team talks about the cockpit systems and demonstrates some new features including an all new sound system. If you have not seen part 1 yet, it is recommended that you watch the 4 part series in order.
In this Part 2, Scott demonstrates a startup and takeoff while showing some new features.
Originally, this was to be a single video of a "Startup and Takeoff demonstration" but it turned into four parts after a high speed flaps failure turned into an emergency landing.
Also while Accu-Sim makes this aircraft very realistic, any and all damage or undesirable things that could occur in the real aircraft can be turned off with a single switch. This switch is for those who don't have the ability to truly fly a real warbird of this type but still want to experience the in-depth realism and sound.

I love this plane. It's complex without being hard to learn. I feel like when I fly this plane, I know what is going on. I know what every gauge reads, and how to react to every situation. Any other plane is too simple, or too hard to learn. I feel like I would be able to climb into a real P-47 and fly it with no worries.

@slickstrings ur right, i thought that was because the exhausts on the B-25 r in corresponding areas with the cowl flaps, just in front of them. I thought they wer one in the same, until I took a better look at "briefing Time" the Mitchel that the Mid Atlantic Air Museum owns.(I am a member there)

The "boost" you talk about here, that was the turbosupercharger control right? Because the RPM pitch control should be set to low pitch, high RPM, and the mixture control should be set to idle/cutoff when you start the engine, because if its in Full (auto rich) when it starts, you might flood the engine. So when it starts you slowly move it forwards to auto rich. Also, when priming the engine, moving the mixture control back and forth will aid priming the engine.. Other than that, nice video!

It amazed me the first time I started it up too. I usually fly jets, or at least I DID until I got this plane.

Aren't U supposed to open the cowl flaps before you start the engine? I am definitely buying this aircraft also... Its amazing!!!

@trainguy3 in some environments you might not want to. the idea being you want to get the engine up to running temp asap.

how do you get the plane to start cold? whenever i spawn, the engine is already started

Do you have to save the flight for it to keep track of the oil viscosity? I believe the accusim cub just mentions engine state etc is saved on end flight.

@slickstrings ok, but isnt the point to let all the oil burn off and come through the cowling flaps, or can it just come out the exhaust then?

great stuff, but my only question is; is this add-on very fps intensive? since the quality is nice and all- wondering if my AMD 2.4ghz dual x64 2 gig ram 8800gt system will run it ok..

I think the take off roll acceleration is a bit exagerated.

@trainguy3 depends what oil your talking about. if there's oil sitting on the engine it wont just burn off instantly anyway, if at all rather then running everywhere. Oil inside the engine will burn and come out the exhaust. Cowl flaps just allow better cooling by allowing more air to pass through the front and over the engine.

@unkowndrunkenfrankli You'll be able to easily run it with those specs. I have a lesser pc than you (over 4 years old) and I could run it.

@j4cko56 yeah,I think you didnt understand what I meant.sum people do not understand online culture and I think youre one of them. The way you read it does not mean I had that tone in mind. I was actually wanting some help at the time.I do not like that its two separate deals but it is a great model. I purchased it and I am extremely satisfied with the model. it is a little childish to defend a hobby in that manner. I know youre an enthusiast as am I, no need to rant and rave about an opinion.

i just h ate that the plane is worth 34 plus 29 for an expansion. i hate that. i dont even know what the freaking difference between the expansion and the norml one.

@straighttailpilot grow up? Hundreds of hours go into making these add ons, have some respect. The accusim expansion is everything he is talking about, clearly your crap at FSX or you would know that none of this comes default with any aircraft.
