Hi, I'm working on a 1990 King Cobra with 454 and I'm trying to separate the halves. I've got all the bolts off but It doesnt drop. Mine doesnt have access to a shirt lever to move sideways. I'm thinking it's different?

pretty helpful, but what the hell happened to your audio from 4:21-5:21??? im trying to figure out if im meant to use a gasket compound on the whole seam of the lower unit or on one specific area? bizarre!

The person that removed my boats lower gear box didn't removed the upper section, this is while it was still on the boat, How ever later on I saw him remover the upper section and then installed it to the gimbal, now he tells me it needs alignment.

audio not right

why would you start this how to video with the bolts taken out and missing the entire bolt removal process?

First, there is overlapping audio in the latter end of the video that makes it hard to understand what you are saying. Secondly, you are confusing me by pointing to the upper unit and calling it the lower and vise versa. The upper unit has the shaft with the universal joints, right? And finally you keep calling the shift rod a cable? A shift lever? It is a shift ROD, is it not? And how about explaining why the shaft and water tube needs to be into the upper housing first, before reassembly? Or is it the lower unit?
