Part 2 on making a custom windshield on the 1929 Chrysler Hemi Roadster  

On your windshield tilt out you can make a c shaped sloted piece with a pivot mount on the dash so when you close it you can pivot the slowed piece up towards the windshield and it want be sticking out towards the inside!

You did a beautiful job in mounting those stanchions. Looking good.

The wing nuts on tge stanchions are for windshield adjustment, crank out would be cool but i think with the height of the dash youll have trouble hiding the mech. Extra latches shouldnt be needed, you want to add a seal under the windshield on the w/s frame that seals AND prevents it from swinging back the wrong way, the wing nuts and the seal will keep that thing secure at speed

Great job. I did an old dodge that had been rolled and tore the stantions out. I got it finally fixed, but i had most of the original parts. On the 29 coupe i am doing now, i had to make everything. I cut and fit the window today.

Also...i hate to say it but tge reality of the flip up windshield is its super handy in a non ac closed car, in a roadster youre going to have PLENTY of wind. I dont know many guys who flip their w/s up while driving
