Thank you for going stitch by stitch As a confident crocheter this pattern was a bit of a skill exercise. Thank you for all you do. By the way. I crochet hats to give to anyone I meet who wants one. I love doing different patterns. Everyone deserves to sport a stylish hat

😅this has been a challenge! I frogged it so many times!!!😢 It's such a beautiful stitch that I couldn't resist, so I persisted and I've just finished my first hat...yes, I'm doing it again🤞🤪🙏 Thank you for being so thorough bc I never would've finished had I not followed along and stitched along with you💞YOU ROCK🤘

I won't lie, I'm an experienced crocheter (~20 years give or take) and usually don't have problems with a pattern, but row 10 kicked my butt!!! I had to watch for half the row before my brain could fully pick it up. This is such a beautiful pattern and really makes you have to think and pay attention which I loved! I did change the brim though with a different ribbing but the pattern is still amazing! 😊 All that said, don't let others give you flack about long/ in-depth videos that go stitch by stitch. There is a fast forward feature for a reason, and having the step by step helps a lot of people regardless of their experience level! Amazing video, even if I'm late to the party ❤️

Finally finished! I thought I'd pass on the little "extra" that I did for this hat as it was a special request along with the reason why I do this. I place a little crocheted 3x4.5 patch-pocket on the inside of the hat where the ears would be. I leave the top open so a small handwarmer can be inserted inside. I did this to one of your other hats I made for one of my son's friends. He had wrecked his motorcycle in 2020and in the process one of his ears got mostly detached from his skull. It was reattached but became easily cold. Because he had a year-round outside job he asked if I could do this for that hat. Apparently it worked so well that when he was in Oklahoma at his mom's that winter she kept trying to snitch the hat from him to protect her own ears from the cold. She gets a lot of earaches because of the weather down there. This hat will be mailed to her. I will be making him a new hat because the one he has now is VERY well worn out. 😊😊

I have been crocheting for several years now, about 7 I think. This still was a challenge for me and I a few learning mistakes along the way. I don't let them upset me or get me down. I feel that I am learning a new pattern and mistakes are bound to happen. But I really enjoyed making this has and in the end it came out well done thanks to you and how well you showed how to make it.

As a beginner, I initially watched a variety of videos, but now go straight to your channel. By far the clearest instructions, and clearest video so I can be confident when following along. I completed my first beanie, the Divine pattern, and was so pleased with how it turned out. Now working on the Alpine & it’s looking gorgeous. Can’t thank you enough for making this wonderful new hobby possible.

I've no idea if you will see this since it has been a year since you posted this pattern but I want to give thanks for a very nice pattern and such easy to follow instructions. I enjoyed your manner of explaining and I really like the finished product. I made feminine beanies for my granddaughters but needed something for my grandson. I think this is great for him but also think with other colors I can make them for anyone to fit their mood. As a matter of fact I really like the colors you used on the V-Stitch hat in pinks and brown. I thank you so very much for your time!

I’ve made all of your hats except the crocodile one lol. I love them and your tutorials. This one was the most difficult for me but mainly because I used a multi colored yarn and my eyes don’t see some things that well anymore. I have been crocheting since I was 16 and will be 74 tomorrow and I am self taught. Thank you for keeping me busy while down with a foot injury and a virus lol

I opted for a different finish in place of the brim. I worked the alpine stitch rows until the length covered my ears and finished off with two rounds of single crochet. That worked quite well. I guess it's an option for those who don't want to do the alternating front-post and back-post double crochet stitches for the brim (though I have used that for the brim for other beanies I have made).

I just love you! I would have not been able to make this hat (increase part is a bit confusing - but i found a system, when i got to the repeat 5 pattern - i started using stitch markers, and of course counting the number of FP and DC - to be matching). You are adorable, patient, pleasant, thorough... thank you so much for being you. 🥰💜❣

I made this for my daughter and it came out great. When I made one for myself I wanted it to be really warm for a trip to Alaska. I increase yarn weight to a 5 and kept the same hook size. It is too large. I thought of taking out the last row of increase but didn’t know if it would work. It will be the legenth I want when the ribbing is added. The measurements now with out ribbing is 7 inches with circumference 26 inches. Head is 21 1/2. Thanks in advance for your help. Love the details you give in your videos 0:26

If you're using a larger weight of yarn, I'd probably tweak the beginning by starting with fewer stitches in round 1. Not 100% sure if this would work, been so long since I did the video, but worth experimenting.

I finally finished, it looks really nice, but I am thinking I should try again because I made the stitches loose on the top but switched to a smaller hook midway through so as to tighten up the stitch a tad, then switched again at the bottom section. It fits perfect. usually, I have to do a row or 2 of chains and decreases in the chains to get it the tightness I want, which is a bit overly tight, but this seems just right. My start I think was a little too loose, I started with a 5mm and went down to a 3mm. The yarn I used seems to work better for the waffle hat. I won't do this with a tweed yarn again I think a plain yarn or a heathered yarn may look nice as your shaded yarn looks. I found with most hats I have to start with a smaller hook, but if I had made it with a larger hook and crocheted the top loose it would have turned out too big. As it is my hat shape is wider than yours, I think because of the overwide start, I will use the same hooks but crochet the top tighter than I did. I posted the Celtic Weave on my FB page and people loved the pattern. I made the Celtic with Lion Brand antipilling yarn in the golden heather. I made a waffle in the same yarn and my husband ran off with it :) The Alpine I made with Big Twist Tweed in green, but the Lion Brand has better definition. I'll try that and the Celtic hat again though, in green, it's strange how different the yarns look in the same patterns. So I am wondering how the green will do in the Celtic pattern. Thank you for the tutorials, I think when I try them one more time it will come easier.

Round 10 is sooo confusing. I'm not sure when I'm supposed to be skipping a single crochet. Sometimes you aren't clear about whether the 'next one' is actually the next one or if you've skipped one because to me it looks like sometimes the next one is actually skipping one. And this is the only round I can't follow along with 😢😢😢 it's stressed me out I might just frog it all 😢
