Just an idea Diane . I love the crumpled pattern tissue flower but wondered how using decorative edged scissors would work. Giving an added effect of the flower.

Diane you "are" full of ideas: skirt is amazing, absolutely... very simple but look fantastic specially on "lady's" on 50/60 last century...... when I write this I start thinking about something vintage lace under skirt ..... I don't know english word for this part of clothing..... but You will know what I mean...... flowers was in my mind, but booklet is new idea too.... thank you for share...... is big pleasure watch your work....... hugs, Ursa

I love the pattern tissue skirt!!! Adorable!!!

Pattern tissue makes great faux rice paper. Good ideas. If you gather strips on one side, you can make flowers out of the patterns. Also, regular pleating can make flowers out of pattern strips. Yours is a different take on the shabby flowers though. Good job.

Hope your sleep pattern gets back in sinc...I worked nites for so many years... have to wonder if it ever will.. but then again I’ve always been a night owl!!! Have read that it makes a difference as to the time of ones birth.. For me it was 2:30 AM... Makes sence to me! Stay well!!! 😻

I agree with @Kathleen Gill, this entire tutorial brings memories of when my mommi and when she use to model. I would watch her as a child. I do not remember how old I was, but I do know I was young - I remember it like it was yesterday. Thank you, Diane, for bringing the memories back to me with these awesome tutorials. I miss her so much! My father too. I am praying for you and the difficult time that you are experiencing right through here ❤️🙏🏽😕

Now I know what to do with the patterns that I have and such a wonderful idea and I thank you for sharing. I have used clear spray sealer on items that I have used in my journals to stiffen them up so maybe spray starch or sealer would help on pattern tissues so the tissues would not tear so easily just a thought...

What a trip down memory lane. My sewing machine is restricted to paper crafts these days. None of my sewing projects ever came close to looking like the pictures on the patterns lol

Great idea to make such flowers out off the tissue sewing paper and I love the crinkling off the little booklets. Another brilliant idea to make a ruffle like this, I did that when I sewed children clothes too brings back good memory’s. Love, love, love the skirt 🥰😍🥰😍 Thank’s again. Greetings Maia

Love Symplicity stuff..so pretty!! And I just happened to go to Joanns yesterday, and lone behold, all Symplicity stuff on sale!! Vintage lady wrapping paper, buttons, iron-ons, ribbons, metal boxes, patterns, etc. Big haul. Lots of clearance. Won't be going there for awhile again. Going to be working on my vintage sewing & cooking binders. I'm going to have to go to thrift store to get some patterns. Love the shabby buttons you made, and the cute little patterns booklets!😇💜💙
