Hi from the UK! I restore cars for a living in this wet part of the world and I would be seriously proud of the frame repairs you did there. And I'm a perfectionist. Amazing work. Thoroughly enjoying videos. Truly a legend.

im glad to see someone who understands that there is more to these old cars other than just rust. I've picked up a lot of ideas on how to do some repairs on my projects from your work on the mopars. keep up the good work.

Between the sky high prices for new replacement parts, and the huge number of hours of hard work spent to restore one old car, I now know why prices for old muscle cars are so high.

Well done, back in the 90's I looked at a 69 Swinger that had rot in the same places on the front rails - someone had simply welded plates over each side of the frame rails lol. Guess that's all they did back when they were just "cars".

Nice job this how we had to repair my old b bodies back in late 70s and 80s with no repo parts made for mopars. I had black with red int 4spd 440 69 charger and b5 blue 69 superbee white int 383 auto. After I finish my 67 charger will start looking for another 69 charger and another Bee if you have not bought them all by then haha. Keep up the good work Mike Port Orchard Wa

When I first found your channel, I admit my first thought was this was going to be some really hacked up shit. Been watching every episode since. I was wrong, I mean you do hack up a lot of shit but it's shit that needs it and you do an incredible job working with what you have. There aren't many people that could bring some of that stuff back or that would even try. I also like your taste in cars. Keep up the great work man, Ima fan...been subbed for a few weeks now.

Couldn't agree more. Taking on those frame rails is well beyond most people's ability, and his workmanship is top class. I loved the use of the screws to fit the little inserts - I'd never think of a trick like that. He doesn't restore vehicles, he conserves them, which really is to be admired.
@Digger927
@Digger927 6 лет назад
Absoultely, this frame repair was damned impressive. I mean I'm good with a torch and welders, damn good in fact...but that was freaking impressive. I always love seeing a good craftsman use creativity to solve a problem and that repair looked pretty damned flawless and that is some pretty rough shaped and thin material to deal with. It was a fun watch!

It ain't called WELDERUP for nothing ! I used to weld up ICC bumpers on trailers outside in all kinds of weather. Mother nature always seemed to know when I was ready to start welding because the wind would pick up exactly when I'd pull the trigger. I feel Chris' pain fur sure. Great videos.
