i just spent $500 re-doing my kamart "k-gro" 43 inch cut deck and mower. New everything~ spindles, blades, paint, belt etc. key switch etc. New tires....and i made a metal plate for the different gas tank to sit on. I've had the same battery for over eight years...tractor sits all winter and i go out and choke the engine and it starts! I've fixed small engines for over 20 years, but recently just started fixing old mowers like you do..go out in the back yard and grab one, fix it up. Got two lawn boy mowers..over 25 or so years old...got the transmissions rebuilt, but never fixed or cleaned the carbs lol. LOVE your channel, and love how your wife comes out to help you out...that is priceless in a marriage like ours...makes the man feel he is doing something worth while . Hey, even if my wife brings in a sandwich and some coffee while i am working. makes me feel appreciated..taken care of, and loved by my wife. Al n Kat :)
I think the welds look very good. I use a flux core welder for most of my deck repairs and have never had one fail. Heck I have even replaced body panels on a car with it and they have held for years without incident.
I’m thinking he removed the brg to get new ones, and for got about it😢 I bought one with all the brging missing but was stuck back to geather and pile off brging on deck, I laughed
