Thank you, John. Now I see that RZ50 was the right choice for me, and thank you for your videos that helped me to choose a proper AVR. These in the video are the next level I particularly don't need. Maybe there will be someone like me, hunting for real configurations: RZ50 powers one pair of KEF LS50 Meta, and one pair of Sonus Lumina II and they sound fantastic, especially LS50 Meta.
Hi Jon, after 132 sweeps. I gave up on export because it took forever for my integra drx8.4. I'm using Dirac 3.7.4 I think... disappointed is an understatement. I never had issues with miniDSP and integra didn't even give me a warning to wait... I bought dlbc multi sub with 150$ discount... you can do crossover optimization with dlbc. In my case, just crossing the sib at 40hz without dlbc was good enough. I'm waiting to get another sub and will do REW measurements to see FR and filtered impulse responses at various frequencies to see phase shifts..with and without dirac
Awesome Video Jon, all those these units should perform similar, why they don't support 13 channel processing or Front wide support for flagship receivers is discouraging.
I found you to be correct. All of the Integra, Pioneer and Onkyo flagship AV Receivers sounded the same. Why don't they support 13 channels? Good question, I think that flagships should start having 13 channels as a baseline standard with front wide support going forward. They can also release a model lower with two less channels. -Jon
I own the RX70. On the filter export issue, having both the pc and AVR wired, for me it takes 2-3 min to complete the process. Haven't tried with wifi but that's probably the reason for longer waiting times.
Yes, WiFi connection can take longer. However, I have been using the same WiFi and computer for all Dirac Live connections and the Integra, Pioneer and Onkyo transfers are clearly taking longer - Jon
Hello Jon. I've spent days trying to decide which avr would best support a 7.2.4 configuration while using an external amp for the lcr speakers. I was told the RZ-50 would not support this configuration, so I'm wondering what your thoughts were. RZ-70, Yamaha RX-A8A, ...? I'm at my witts end! Your superior knowledge would be greatly appreciated! Please advise me on which unit you believe would give me the best experience! Skip McCain
