Watch our Fortuner vs Endeavour video posted last month. BTW this terrain is very easy, look closely we did aome attempts in 2wd also and succeded!

What is remapping bro I have just bought a new v cross. Please tell me do I have to get it done outside or company can do it. Is there any harmful effects of remapping on vehicle. Please reply Thank you

My personal favorite for the purpose is Gypsy. Even Thar is good if you like it.

Although if I may further ask, I did consider the gypsy however being in the merchant navy I'll be away for away for about 6 months and during that period my wife would occasionally drive the thar which the independent front suspension would be more comfortable and since we already drive a 2wd Mahindra XUV and are quite happy with their service, however I wasn't sure if spending 10 lakhs on a new Thar was really worth it, someone even suggested a scorpio S4+? Or should I push my budget further for a used fortuner? Apologies for the longish query!

S4+ 4wd model is discontinued. 4wd is only available in top end S11 model, which I feel is too expensive for that car. Why dont you sell the XUV and buy a 4wd SUV which will serve both the purposes. Best choices for new car will be- Isuzu V-Cross, Storme 400 4wd. For used cars you can look at used Fortuner and Pajero Sport. Thar from factory comes with bare bones equipment levels(zero safety, poor structure, no safety equipment), you will have to spend a lot of money to make it comfortable. I'd pick a used Pajero Sport instead(Fortuner is slightly better choice but its overpriced in used car market and low kms done cars will be impossible to find.

Anshuman Bishnoi Thank you Anshuman! You have given me a lot food for thought! Was interested in a used Pajero but was advised against it because of the high maintenance costs and next to zero availability of spares in Chandigarh!
