ANOTHER HOT AND HUMID MORNING SO I WANTED TO DO THIS VIDEO EARLY BUT THIS OLD GIRL IS JUST A GLISTENING WITH PURE SWEAT, NOT A PRETTY SIGHT 🥺 ENJOY YOUR DAY😘 #decktour #patiotour #gardentour #flowers #yardsaletreasures #vintage
I don’t know how you all keep up with this beautiful yard, I couldn’t do it. Thank you so much for the tours of your garden. I just love how you use all the old things. I loved the lemonade sign and the basket underneath.
Your home and garden are both beautiful! You can see all the heart and hard work you guys put in it. Thank you for sharing. Take care and try to stay cool. ❤
I love your things . I can’t imagine the amount of time you put into the garden . All your things are beautifully kept up and look like new. Your garden walks are such a treat for us . Love and blessings to you , John and Baby Boy .
@@d.l.n.7133 Thanks so much Deb. I’m in the garden quite a bit each day but I enjoy it. I do wish the rain wouldn’t keep missing us so I wouldn’t have to water so much. How did Ed’s appointment go today? Love and blessings to y’all❤️❤️❤️
We keep missing the rain too . I hear the distance thunder, but not much else , it rained for a few minutes this morning then got very humid . His Dr told him that his surgery was much more involved then he thought it would be and wants to see him back in a few months . Ed told him that he couldn’t come in then so , he is going back for a Doppler scan bf we take off . This weekend my friend from Fl is visiting for a few days , so we will take a little break from work to do some fun things.
Thank you so much for enduring the heat and humidity to film and share your beautiful yard and flowers with us! I think we will all be ready for Fall this year!
@@barbarasimmons7637 Thank you so much Barbara. It’s been a rough one this year with all the humidity but I pace myself with frequent breaks. I am ready for Fall for sure😊. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️

So until next time God Bless you and John and have a Blessed day tomorrow and stay safe my dear and Special Friends. ❤❤❤Tell John thank you for all his hard work on painting everything for the yard.
I'm enjoying your beautiful gardens so much this summer! 🌹 My sweet mother passed on last week at 96 years. She was a wonderful gardener, and these videos are so cheerful to watch. Thank you Jean, take care all, in the heat.
@@whistlerobinshouseandhobbies oh Robin I’m so very sorry for your loss. I know it’s very hard to loose a loved one. It warms my heart if my videos help you at all. Much love, blessings and prayers for you and your family❤️❤️❤️
Hi Jean! Your beautiful collection of antiques/vintage treasures never ceases to amaze. Love how John preserves everything and you take such good care of it all. It must be very hard work! But you are most likely preserving things for generations to come! This is a gift to this world! Wish we all did this instead of buying all the new junk from China! So much better for the environment, although I do love all my Johanna Parker and Halloween decor!
@@cynthiaroark1778 Thanks so much Cynthia. John has a talent for sure and loves working on projects. We haven’t even been to Hobby Lobby in probably 2 years. I’ve been trying to mostly shop at yard sales . Yes We do love Johanna Parker and there will probably be some Halloween pieces we won’t be able to resist 😊. Enjoy your day. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Jean...nobody has a prettier yard than you! I am so envious of all the different plants you have access to! We have some pretty flowers here but nothing compares to the varieties you have! Everything is so beautiful in your meticulously cared for garden! I love your garden & enjoyed this tour immensely! Lots of love to you, John & Baby Boy! Now go inside, cool off with a big glass of something cold to drink! 🌻🍓🌻❤

Hi Mrs. Jean, It’s so great to see your pretty face, even if you’re hot! ❤ I love, love your garden tours, just beautiful! I love your red plant stand, it’s so pretty! I love your fav place to decorate, I can see why you like it so much, so pretty! I love walking around and seeing all the gorgeous flowers and your neat treasures! Big hugs and blessings to you and Mr. John and Baby Boy! ❤❤
Loved seeing your sweet face even if you were super sweaty! Jean, I had your home all mixed up in my mind the way the layout was so I was so grateful that you stood on the back deck and I could see where everything was at. I had things laid out so differently in my mind. Everything is done so beautifully, the way and John have curated such a beautiful home full of so many wonderful vintage treasures and special things that John has made to create such amazing spaces and your gardens are just beautiful. I always learn so much and my heart is filled with so many things that inspire me. Just perfection. Love it all!!!
@@YVYOU Thank you so much Michele. I think I have sweated more this year than ever before. It’s been awful. Yes that’s why I tried to show the layout of the outside. We’re in average suburban neighborhood in the city but we’ve tried to take advantage of every bit of our yard. We’ve always been homebodies but even more so now that we are older. We love and enjoy our home and gardens. Have a wonderful weekend. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
@@lindacasey4259 Thank you so much Linda. Sometimes it’s a big mess out there but I’ve been trying hard to stay up on everything 😊. Love and blessings ❤️🧡❤️
Yeah, we’ve been really warm too so I understand we’re getting some rain today so maybe a little bit of relief. It’s a storm coming in from Texas here in Canada or Toronto. I should say but we’re overdue for it. Thanks for showing us the garden and the outside I love looking at it.🍃🌸🦋
@@mamabrooke Thanks so much Brooke. This morning they said we had a chance of a shower but it missed us😒. Hope y’all get the rain. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Gorgeous gardens!!!! We need some rain desperately in Richmond Va, Everything is so dry… I love your garden tours… I always learn something new… Have a good rest of the week… 🌿🌸🌼🌺🌿
@@sarahweaver5651 Thanks so much Sarah. The rain we got on July 4 was the first good rain we had gotten in weeks and weeks and not any since. It’s been super dry here in Roanoke too. Praying we both get some rain soon. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️

It us obvious that it is Baby Boys world and he just lets you and John live there to feed him. Jean, you have a beautiful yard. Your plants are well cared for and I don't know how you manage it all. I am working in Vacation Bible School and that is all I can manage this week.
@@annjohns9939 Thanks so much Ann. You are so right. He is the king for sure. I remember Bible School days. I was director for several years and it takes an army to run it. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Hello,👋 verbena flowers are very beautiful. I love the red wrought iron plant pots. They are so cute. I love all the plants in your section. Have a good day👍❤🌸🌼🌹🌷🌿😘
@@wutthiyanathomtong9699 Thank you so much. Yes I love verbena, they’re so pretty with many colors to choose from. Enjoy your day. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
I feel you with the heat!! It was nice to see you!!! My aunt used to say she didn’t sweat, she glistened 😊you were glistening!!! You have a full time job in that garden!! Gorgeous!! I’ve never seen such a huge flower frog!! It’s awesome! Of course I love the copper coffee pot! I love the predominantly red accents ❤what a great garden tour.. it’s inspiring me to get planting some more .. unfortunately money this year is tight 😬so I’ll just have to binge on yours!!! 😂. Thx for sharing ❤❤❤stay cool!!!😎
@@wildflowerhomedecor14 Thanks so much Kim. Yep I was glistening for sure🥵. The garden does take a lot of time but I love it. It is a very big flower frog🐸. If you lived close I could share plants with you. I give tons away every year to friends. I’m always dividing them and rooting things. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Jean just gorgeous! You inspire me to keep going in this brutal heat and humidity! Storm is set to come, hoping it takes away the humidity! (Rain from the hurricane they say, we’ve been getting flood warnings. You say you put your plants in the garage, what temps do you get during winter? LOVE the lily! ❤ I love how you are able to keep the names of your plants, my chickens have an aversion to all labels and pull them out🤦🏻♀️ So many wonderful bird sounds❤ Get inside and cool down with a nice iced tea or something! Thank you for sharing! ❤
@@karenholdingmyown Thanks so much Karen. We have a 35% chance of a shower this afternoon. We have had temperatures in the single digits but rarely. Our average low temperature is upper 20’s-low 30’s. Our garage isn’t heated. We loose a lot of the plant tags when we start raking the million leaves that fall😵💫. I’ve stayed inside more today since I watered good yesterday. I have just had to water a few pots so far today. I will have to water the driveway plants if we don’t get the shower this afternoon. Stay cool. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Oh how I enjoyed this and absolutely love your yard and gardens❤. It has been so hot here in upstate New York for two months, very little rain and very little ambition to keep up with watering and my gardens. I call it sweating like crazy and my friends who love this horrible heat say it’s not sweat, it’s sparkle😂…nope, it’s sweat😂. I force myself early in the morning or as the sun goes down to keep up with it and you’ve given me the inspiration to keep going. Absolutely beautiful!
Thanks so much Debby. This heat keeps us from enjoying the outside at all. We have friends that love the heat of summer too but not us. I’m looking forward to Fall even if we do get a million leaves to rake up. Have a good week. Stay cool. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Oh Jean!!! Everything is so pretty!! My flowers are suffering in this heat!! But I did buy 2 gallon pots of gorgeous coleus today at a country farm greenhouse for 10.00!! It was but one get one free!! So did!!😃 I hope to make several pots from them. You inspire me!!!😁💖🧑🦳🏡🌹
@@tennesseegrannydebbie3384 Thanks so much Debbie. This heat is hard on everything. Who could resist buy 1 get 1 free on Coleus❤️. I love coleus. Happy planting. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Wow, Jean, everything looks so lush and healthy! How do you manage to keep up with the deadheading, trimming, fertilizing, etc.? Your garden must attract many, butterflies, birds and other wildlife? Those oriental lilies smell so good don’t they? I hope you went inside and had a nice cold iced tea or lemonade after making this wonderful video for us in the heat. Bless you and stay cool ❤
@@Stockpaperscissors Thank you so much. I try to fertilize my pots at least every couple of weeks in this heat and deadhead early in the morning. I don’t really have a schedule on trimming back. I just do it when a plant starts looking bad. Yes we do have a lot of butterflies, birds and wildlife. This year the hummingbirds have been slower in coming for some reason. I did go inside and cool off but I drank a bottle of water😊. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Hello Jean! I just loved your deck. Now I am thinking I should paint ours - it sure could use some new paint. I just love looking at all your plants! It's like going to my favorite nursery. == Love - Hugs & Blessings!!
@@frauhollecottage Thank you so much Calypso. I love the decks painted but they do need to be painted again every 2 or 3 years. Ours has started peeling in places so it will need to be done again next year. We have always loved plants. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Your garden tours are so great with all your beautiful plants. Have you ever grown Rose Campion? They are pretty with hot pink flowers and gray fuzzy leaves like lambs ear. They propagate by seed. Very easy to grow in my zone 4 area, along the shores of Lake Superior. If you would like to try them I could send you some seed. It’s been very humid here too but as hot as you. We have had so much rain this year that my plants are huge in my cottage garden. I have never seen them so big. Some cute white garden bunnies live my garden too. Cousins to yours. Rest up and cool down. I don’t know how you do all that you do.
@@judithsharrar8706 Thank you so much Judith. No I haven’t ever grown rose campion. I’ve seen them in pictures but haven’t ever seen them for sale. I would love to have some of the seeds. We were supposed to get a shower yesterday afternoon but it missed us again. We’ve only had that one rain on July 4th in weeks and weeks. Tell your bunnies hello from my bunnies 😊. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
@@jeane561Jean, I don’t know where to send the seeds and I’m sure you don’t want your address in public. I don’t know how to contact you privately to send you the seeds. I assume they grow well in your zone? They are plentiful in my garden as they drop seeds and come up everywhere. Especially in cracks and in the grass. But unwanted plants are easy to get rid of. Once they flower they form a pod and that pod has a bunch of little black seeds in it when they’re ripe. I guess it would be considered a biannual. I use to grow gumphrenias and dry them for winter bouquets when that was popular. I also have a huge autumn clematis.
@@darleneridgeway7452 So sorry Darlene. I hate to loose trees and plants. It’s been so hot and humid everywhere . I’ll be ready for Fall for sure. Stay cool. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
@@mairwaugus5203 No we don’t have a plant light. Some die back and some don’t. The ones like the oxalis that dies all the way back I don’t water at all. All the others I just water about every 3 weeks. Once the weather starts warming up some in the Spring. I start trimming off dead on them and water and fertilize them. I don’t bring them out until there’s no chance of freeze or frost. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
