THANK YOU! We are about to close ( 2 weeks) on an investment home ( my first purchase, #10 or so with the wife) and I would have LOVED to have you as our Agent! My ‘experience’ has been miserable from the start. As a CO-BUYER I have been invisible, and ignored. According to the stagecoach lender, if one of the two buyers is notified and informed, it’s all good with them. Same with filling out and signing most documents. With the Primary as a control freak, and ‘co-‘ a first timer with a million questions, guess how that turns out. NOBODY informed me at beginning of that policy, I absolutely have NOT done it, and found someone else. HUGE TIP for you, and other first timers, CONSIDER THE CO-BORROWER AS AN ACTUAL CUSTOMER TOO.

Is it normal for a home inspector to completely miss a door frame coming completely away from the wall? Or missing evidence of water damage in the bathroom by the shower? I happened to go to the house the next day after the home inspection for our 1st walkthrough and I see all of this and it was never mentioned in his report. Smh
My opinion is the inspector should have caught both the door frame coming away from the wall and water damage in the bathroom. Inspectors are human and no human is perfect but those both sound like obvious defects a good inspector should have seen and noted in his report. Sorry to hear you had issues with your inspector.
