I am not a big TV person, I can go the whole day without turning it on! My husband was a big TV person, so there was a TV in the bedroom. But since he passed away, I have not had a TV in the bedroom. I think it’s a good idea that you train your kids, they’re old enough to make their own food they should be old enough to put the dishes in the dishwasher after they’re done eating. 🙋🏻‍♀️💕

I’m sorry to hear about your husband 🩷 we aren’t a TV household really. They TV only goes on at night. We do family movie nights sometimes on Fridays, and then when the kids go to bed my husband and I will watch a show sometimes. I love to watch shows when my kids go to bed. It helps me get tired. And then when I’m sick or the kids are sick we put movies on cause it’s the only way they will rest lol. And then they are allowed to play a video game together on weekends but only if they all 4 play. As soon as one kid is tired of it they all have to stop. It’s a group activity. No one is allowed to play video games by themselves. We don’t buy 1 player games. 🩷💜🩵 I feel this gives them a healthy balance.

Another great cleaning video! Your husband was so cute pointing out to us that he was doing his laundry. The kids were cute as they helped straighten up. Great family! Sure wish you’d film cooking for family meals.

I am so bad about remembering to film cooking. I honestly don’t cook full meals, I make a meat and a carb and then we’re all kinda use it differently. I’ll try to explain. But it’s hard.

You can try getting a magnet that says clean on one side and dirty on the other to tack onto the dishwasher. It works great for my husband

Hi Jill we have a TV in our bedroom I use it a lot more then my husband does. I love having it . He stays up a lot later then I do and watches it in the living room. We’re retired.💕

You can get a magnet that says dirty on one side and clean on another so you could even get the kids to make a wee sign for the dishwasher.

Sarah, you read my mind, while I don’t have a dishwasher, think dirty/clean sign would provide peace of mind for Jill? Also, maybe have a rotating week for each kid to put clean dishes away each day? Thought it might be cool to put a sign near sink saying remember to clean your dish and put it in the washer?until they learn the new habit?🤷🏻‍♀️

I fixed the problem with the dishwasher with one of those magnets that you slide from clean to dirty...when it is loaded, it is on dirty, when it is washed it is on clean until it is unloaded and switched to dirty...

I’m totally the same way socially! I do fine in social settings but it exhausts me! People outside of my family don’t even realize that I’m an introvert. I think it might be called an extroverted introvert. I really have to push myself to go places. I’d just rather be home with my family. 🤷🏻‍♀️Something else that I’ve noticed about myself is after a really stressful season (like when my parents were living and one of them was hospitalized and I was extra busy caring for them and still homeschooling) afterwards I would become like a hermit for a few weeks just to recoup. Do you do that too?
