Congratulations, IsabellaKathryn! That's absolutely wonderful to hear. :) You must be very mature to convert at your age, and be very open to God's guidance. Those are wonderful virtues! I didn't have any Catholic family members with me when I converted, either (though I was much older than you). It can be lonely, but with Mary as your spiritual mother and St. Joseph as your spiritual father, you'll make fantastic Catholic friends along the way that keep your heart hopeful. I also recommend reading the Bible and praying the Rosary every day. They each get "deeper" over time; it's wonderful! Also, my favorite Catholic book is "The Fulfillment of All Desire" by Ralph Martin. It describes the three stages of the spiritual life we should go through here on earth (purgative, illuminative, and unitive), and talks about how the saints found their heart's desire with Jesus even before they got to Heaven! Maybe your family will also convert one day. Here's a very helpful article on that, which I found at the Catholic Answers website by Steve Ray: "6 Rules for Dealing with Non-Catholic Family and Friends." I warmly invite you to try a TLM (traditional Latin Mass) one of these days if you can... They can be few and far between, but they're SO WORTH the trip. I really think that's where the Church is headed - back to tradition and the fullness of the faith, with reverence, beauty, more devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist and Mary our Blessed Mother, penance and festive feast days, and the faith totally integrated into your life. I will pray for you and put you on my list for perpetual intercession. May God bless you and your loved ones, and may he send the Holy Spirit to sanctify us and guide us into all truth, virtue, and charity. Peace and to you joy this Advent and Christmas... you are almost home in the Holy Catholic Church! :)

Voris isn't unaware that when he goes public with his sins he opens himself to whatever responses may come. I don't think that means it's a good idea to air everything to all and sundry - the sacrament of confession is done in private for a very good reason - but this kind of ribbing isn't anything that would be likely to interfere with his efforts to repent, and more probably would help. He would understand that humour has its place in this regard.
