Today both my daughters are graduates I myself went back to school I am at Masters degree level and have a fancy job in the engineering field. I now own a business as well. I tell my brief testimony to encourage Martha that there are many of us and today God didn’t just restore us b😅made us make it in life with our kids single handedly. Holly Jesus!! This happens also in Europe, in the churches owned by Africans..one time a pastor from somewhere in Africa, in the church I used to go to, invited another pastor from his country to come and preach, my family decided to give a token to this pastor before he went back to Africa, we were NEVER instructed to, it was giving from the heart, the way its supposed to be, wait until this "man of God" calls me few months later, that I should buy him a car, cos his car had broke down!!! He was calling me from Africa, that day many times, I was driving to work so I pulled up somewhere and answered....he said God has said...I asked him what kind of car did he have in mind!! he said something, but at this moment, I knew, I was going to block him, change my church, block my pastor who had invited him and many members from that church, it took time, the tracked me from all directions but I was done. I already had issues bothering me, cos this pastor would announce how much you gave to the church, even if you do it secretly, they started saying you write your name in the envelope you give to the church...he would ask me to host families from Africa, even if he had a house five times bigger than mine, my car became a car to transport church members from point A to point B !!! long story short, DONT BE SCAMMED IN THE NAME OF GOD!!!!

My first cousin Martha. We thank God that we have you and that you and our son are finding your way again. Yes, your dad, my father's brother is a great servant of God and we love him so dearly. Remember, Martha that we all love you! ❤️

I turned 19 a few weeks ago and through watching Lynn's show I have learned a lot at such a young age since the show has served as an eye-opener for me and hopefully to many more people. I believe that as I continue with my journey to self-discovery and learning what the world has to offer, I will be able to make the right choices in life through God's guidance and be able to go back on the right track if I go astray. This whole story has an aspect of Narcissistic abuse,jezebelic spirit on it. This is it. It starts with love bombing,the charming phase. The narcist ,abuser is superficial and has this mask of all perfect,the right person, then the abuse begins by separating you from your support system,they gas light and manipulate you,make you look crazy ,suck all your energy,no empathy,seem not to care. They do all the things they asked you not to do and accuse you of it. Like,"you making me do this" very toxic. Once you starting gaining control,they leave you for another supply. That's why the guy married almost immediately after the break up. During the divorce,the guy piles lies and deceit to control and manipulate everyone that the woman is the bad one. This is how they operate: 1.They manipulate through their theology 2. They always hear from the Lord 3. They make accusations with a goal to hurt 4. Destructive,humiliates and cuts with the word 5. Talks alot,anger and aggression 6.Deception A person with this personality trait could be: 1.pure,evil and hateful 2.proud,self centered,condescending and judgemental 3.cold, ruthless,cunning and calculative 4.combative and confrontational,liers and cheats 5. Hate constructive critiscm 6. Hates prophets,prayers and true spiritual warfare 7. Capable of giving false propheses and dreams How to overcome: 1. Go no contact. Free from them (1 kings 21. Elijah freeing from jezebel) 2. Shield yourself with the word (James 4:7 submit yourself to the Lord,Resist the devil and he'll free) 3. Get a strong support system. In 2009/10 I was in deep depression, I had lost my way and my faith in God but Martha, that song 'nafsi yangu' was my healing balm. I went on to pray for God to restore what the locusts had eaten and a decade later I am starting to see the shoots of restoration. Martha may our loving Father restore you and establish you. Went through something very similar and I thank God everyday that he opened my eyes. Nothing hurts more than religious/spiritual abuse. Healing from it is an everyday progress of unlearning and deconstructing . It’s been more than a year and I still get triggered every time I think about it. I have personally gone through something similar, almost got married to a Pastor who refused to work, I was the financial muscle in our relationship, I was drained emotionally,mentally and physically. Everyone thought our relationship was perfect and yet I was going through a lot. I thank God for helping me open my eyes because of religious slavery which is disguised with promises of your desires and cannot question the real matters affecting you. I know one woman who is deep in debt cos of such. May God help us. 🙏

I was in tears watching this and it revealed to me that I never dealt with the pain I endured in those 17yrs, I had placed bandages to cover my wounds but under those bandages were still scabs that were sensitive to touch. My greatest victory was leaving him, getting my life/peace back, raising my children without toxicity, and gaining my strength in the Lord. At that point he had given everything to that woman including his car which was still financed and crushed being driven by someone who had no license. This song has reminded me how great God is. While in college at Busoga you left us a DVD that had this song... At some point I would be so low, had fear of things that I couldn't know, I found solace in this song... And sure enough, tough life was coming ahead. And sure, Through everything that we undergo, God is always beside us.

Martha's story reminds of that of Osinachi the gifted Nigerian gospel singer who was cruelly abused ,enslaved ,tortured to death by her evil husband. She stayed put in the marriage because the church pastor and church wouldn't allow her to divorce until she lost her life.I am glad Martha gathered her strength and survived the hypnotic spell, may The Lord protect and guide her.

I salute Martha you are eye opener to women or men brainwashed by religious cults. Psychological manipulation using religious half-truths is the most common tool currently used by false preachers. There are red flags, though: extrabiblical revelation, absolute authority, lack of accountability, attempts to isolate you from any social support including your close family members. If you see these, run for your dear life. Above all, have a personal close walk with God through study of His word and fervent prayer. You will have the grace to see you through.
