I took my NGN NCLEX rn last week, I passed at 85 questions. I didn't use any Q bank. I focused on fundamentals, and some commonly tested diseases. I didn't subscribe to any review programs either. My advice is, Focus on prioritization, nurse teaching, and of course, common sense.

Are these only applied to the Ngn questions or the whole exam?

For plus or minus scoring, using your example, 1:39, if the correct answers are (1, 3, 4) and I only select (1, 3) will I receive 2/3 points or 1/3 as not selecting a correct answer will be deducted from the score? Thank you!

Great question! If the correct answers are 1,3, & 4, then the total number of points available will be 3. If you only select two of those correct answers, you will only get 2 points, losing out on the 1 point you didn't select the correct option for. If you select any incorrect answers, then the points will be deducted for an incorrect answer. To sum that up, if you don't select a correct answer, you just won't get the point for that answer.

what if I selected only 3 correct answers instead of 4 in SATA question will it minus also my 1 score?

No. If you scored 3 correct answers, you get 3. Only the incorrect are being deducted

This is also my question. What if I only got 3 out of 4 will it be minus?

what if for example in SATA, the correct answer is 1, 2 but i pick 1, 3, 4, 5. Will i deduct the score or just put one point only?

Thanks for your question! The NCLEX partial credit is on a +/- system. You get one point for each correctly answered selection on a SATA, and you lose one point for each incorrect answer selection for the total points awarded on the problem. You will never get less than zero as the final score for a question. I hope this helps explain that! I would try to avoid focusing on that while testing and really focus on the content to try to answer the best you can! Best of luck to you on your nursing journey - I know you can do this!

Is partial credit with SATA applied on case study question only? Or does it apply with traditional/stand alone questions?

@@nolanbuddy8833 Same here. My instructors are insisting it's only the case study Qs but I've seen otherwise online
