Nice video, I'm thinking about signing up for the ride on September 24th. I am kinda nervous about riding in a pack, I've never ridden with anyone else. But I am looking forward to seeing how much faster I can go when I can draft people. I can average 18mph on a 60-mile ride. Hopefully, with some drafting, I can get close to 20mph.
Nice my buddy wants to do the next one. He's been climbing local mountain to prep for the climb and doing a century a week, besides regular interval training. What was your normalized power for the race and average?
Yeah This is a fun ride. I am looking forward to the next one as well. I didn't have a power meter on that bike. My avg speed for the ride was 23.6mph and time was 2:07. I think I finished top 10.
Excellent, thanks for the reply. May I ask how did you train? and are you local to SoCal? We;re trying to make a small team of 4 riders, so we can rotate draft and pulls. Maybe break-away and stay away.
@@cliffcox7643 . Yes I am in Socal. I ride locally in group rides but I am currently mostly on Zwift. There is another fun road race in October down in Mexico called Baja Bike Race. Hopefully that can still happen this year.
@@cliffcox7643 When this is over and we restart group riding come join us on a Thursday at Fiesta Island for a ride: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HbfeJcTM7AE.html

@@eliasdiy2972 Sorry to hear you were in a crash. I didn't know there was one. I know a friend of mine who was right behind my wheel hit a pothole and had a double flat. Hopefully next year will be better.
