Wow! I really liked the detailed way in which you explained this fix cause I have this same problem I took the back cover off of my Sony KDL-46 HX 729 thinking it was the T con board and was going to order the part and ON the order I saw an important warning message stating that if I had horizontal lines and flickering that it most likely is a damaged LCD screen panel now I will put back together but I'm wondering on how to take front panel off the plastic bezel off is it easy to take off thank you so much for your detailed information.

When I go to the gate and source there's nothing then when I go to drain also nothing. And on another transistor it's not draining at all do I just change both mosfets?
Thanks! Got it apart fine. Cat had peed on it, shorted out the volume control switch so the menu was always on the screen. Just disconnected it, reassembled, and good to go!
So, that mosfet that you are checking is a P-channel type because the Gate is at the positive probe?Am I correct? And how to determine of what pin is the Base, Drain, and Source by using only multimeter (diode mode) amd without looking the specification of that mosfet parts?
The screen protector is held in place by some sticky strips. Why go through all the trouble to remove the entire back piece when you can simply use a blade or other thin to tool to gently get underneath the edges of the plastic display glass and lift it up?
Hi mine is a 65 inch Panasonic plasma TV 2009 and my TV was doing blinking lights so I held the power button and then let go and then turn it back on. I don’t know why it was doing so many blinking lights anyways my TV still works today. But I don’t know why it does that sometimes whenever I want to turn on the TV it does blinking lights. Could it be something with overheating? I don’t know. I cleaned the fans with my Dyson DC 33 vacuum I clean it really well it’s really expensive. I paid over $2000 for 2009 expensive actually it was on sale. It was gone for almost $3000 so I got a good deal at Best Buyin Phoenix, Arizona if you know these TVs are very expensive at those times
Everyone wants to post Epic Content on RU-vid - TEDx talks, etc. But most people just want to do simple stuff. Not basic, but useful. This video is one of those that helps us all with "the little things" in life. Major props to Runforlife for this video!
Thanks for the video. Have been looking for the instruction. How about the turning on/off the chime beep every hour? Some how it got turned on but cannot find how to turn the hourly chime off?
