Great ride Ken. I've done a lot of trails in the bullhead Laughlin area. Red wash rd is one I would recommend. Not tough or technical, but the end is a cove on the lake above the Davis damn. Its beautiful...😎❤ Thanks for the ride.
really enjoying your videos. BE CAREFUL PLEASE! the desert is surprisingly dangerous. while here if you're looking for a real challenge for the beast, try the Table Mesa trails in the heart of phoenix. happy trails!
One of these days I hope to be in an area where you are and try wheeling with ya. "A beautiful and unique drive" littered with burro dung and piss. ;-). They should rename that drive.
Hey Ken. Here is an idea if you plan to come to big bear California. You could park your camper rig at Boone road and the 247. That's Johnson Valley right where they camp for King of the Hammer. Easy high desert camping for free. Plus tons of desert trails. And you could drive the FJ west on the 247 turn left at highway 18 and that would take you up to big bear in about 40 minutes and being it's the back way up, no traffic. That's how I do it. My boss has a cabin near Boone road he let's me use. Rattlesnake canyon is a trail near Boone road. I love that trail. Super easy but really nice.
Thank you for the tip! I really want to get to socal, but Arizona is taking longer than planned... At what point in the year is it too late, snow wise?
@@offroadhub.official you never know for sure. But there is no snow in the forecast for at least 2 weeks. We really don't get much snow here anyway. Sometimes not till January! There will never be snow in Johnson valley. I've been off roading there for 15 years. I've seen snow one time. And it's at 3200 feet. I've seen what kind of trails you like best. And big bear is the place for you.
@@offroadhub.official by the way Ken. Even if you get snowed out of big bear if you're camping at Boone road there are tons of open desert to explore right there. Even if you get in trouble there are people out there and they will help. It's a very popular place. Especially during holidays like Christmas. And just 18 miles west of Boone road on the 247 is cougar Buttes lots of Rock crawling there. Also you can drive your camping rig to cougar Buttes and camp there for free. Huge open desert area they even have vault toilets. Never is snow a problem. Mostly we only get snow above 5500 feet. I hope this is not too much info. And I'm getting the message to you in some kind of order. I don't do tech at all. I barely know how to leave comments. I don't do any kind of social media at all. Except this. I understand San Diego area is also great for off road.
If you make it to big bear California you're going to love the trails. They are much more challenging then desert washes. Gold mountain would be a must. And it's the one I would do first. It has stuff but not too hard. It's a great warm up. If you want harder you can find it no problem. John bull is about as hard as I would suggest. Even if I will not do it myself.
@@offroadhub.official very little snow on the ground. Nothing but sunshine in the future. Come on down. We had 8 inches of snow 4 weeks ago. But it's mostly all gone.
@@offroadhub.official also almost all the trails are on the sunny side of the mountain. I don't live there but I'm 2 hours away. So check with someone local. But I'm really confident the trails are clear of snow. Plus the dust should be down too.
Hello, amazing video and nice fj! 1) Can you tell us information about tire size and suspension? 2) How well this fj performs on normal street terrain? Thanks
