Loved Yuna's screaming, but Emily is absolutely SAVAGE! 🔥💜🤘 I just hope Yuna recovers her health soon. It broke my heart when she made her goodbye speech at her last gig. 😢
Yeah Emily's screaming is incredible. Yuna was also very nice. I went back to double check which songs I heard from PassCode in the past after checking this song out and instantly upon hearing the song remembered how great they were when I heard them before. Yuna certainly was fantastic.
Yeah the beginning was so unexpected. Im glad im not the only one that thought they were like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I for sure will listen to more. I love all the crazy sounds with the cute vocals on top of the rock music. Such a fun song! Thank you so much as always for watching :)
@@mamiackerman_1004 No problem! I know the translation is poor, I need to devote more time to learning Japanese. I do hope it helps anyone that wanted to watch the video. Ill be here again soon with the coffee :)
I'd listened to/watched some Passcode before and gave it a few songs. I can almost always find something to like because it's music. You make a good point that the song is full of contrast, and I like that. Nice job with the reaction and breakdown of what you liked about it as always. I may not have returned to Passcode after checking them out, but I'll go along for the ride if you do more.
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed! I know exactly what you mean about Passcode, I know I have heard some songs in the past they were good from what I remember but it didnt make me go out of my way to listen more. Its possible it could just be my taste in music changing, or maybe they have switched some stuff up since its a new song? When it comes to music and stuff... im not like the most knowledgeable person out there like some musicians and stuff. I cant break down songs from a musical standpoint, etc. But at the end of the day, I know the things I like in music. Its fun to be able to share it with others and even more fun to talk about it with other people. I do plan to listen to more so hopefully you enjoy the songs!
Fear and loathing in las vegas is my favorite band of all time and i think Passcode is kinda the female version of "em !! thanks for the reaction cuz you just got me back to listen to this band again after a long time but too bad i can't see any FALILV reactions on this channel .
Glad you enjoyed it! As soon as I heard this song I immediately thought of FALILV. FALILV is awesome! Unfortunately, I know pretty much all of their songs so I havent posted any "reactions" on this channel =/ By the time I started this channel up I was already quite familiar with a lot of JRock bands (including FALILV). I can maybe search around for a song that I have not heard yet. I listen to them all the time ^^
@@Shreddawg definitely must be some songs that you haven't recognize from their old albums or the newest ones !! but if you heard all of them you're a true fan hahaha you can do some live reaction videos ! they're pretty crazy on stage .
@@mohcinnesruob9658 Im sure theres got to be a few songs, I just need to dig around. I think I actually found them via live shows. I first stumbled onto them in 2019 which is really when my Japanese rock discovery went into overdrive. I went from SCANDAL and ASIAN Kung Fu Generation to things like Polkadot Stingray, BAND-MAID, BRIDEAR, etc. They are absolutely insane doing flips on the stage and stuff lol. I was completely amazed haha. Ill do some digging and see if I can find some stuff.
if you listen to Fear & Loathing , definitely Passcode is for you. they have everything : vocaloid (vocal synthesizer) , growl , edm , techno , break down , jpop, metal band & 8-bit sound. Another reactor James used to listen to Fear & Loathing during workout.
Yeah fear is super cool. Their live shows are crazy too, seeing them do flips on the stage and stuff haha. Great band. Passcode really does seem to have it all so I will be checking out more soon for sure! Thats really funny about the reactor you mentioned. Whats their channel? Im curious if I have watched their stuff before. I watch a TON of reaction channels. Mostly ones that feature a lot of BAND-MAID though.
@@Shreddawg James Jesberger reactor. in my own opinion , if you are growing watching anime then you can get into J-music easier. If u can accept Passcode , then you can try HANABIE - " i love sweet" & PALEDUSK - "WIND BACK". Great workout song. =)
@@JwLinberg7788 I just checked and yeah ive seen his channel before. Ive watched all his BAND-MAID videos, haha. I didnt really grow up watching anime other than the standard pokemon back in the day and I suppose a bit of card captor. 2016 is when I really started to get into anime. Now I have seen so many anime. I just got really interested in Japan/Japanese culture and at some point started consuming all kinds of anime, haha. I am very familiar with Hanabie, love that band. I have not heard of PALEDUSK at all. Ill have to check them out at some point.
Lots of screamo in PASSCODE ... a lot of it is listenable. The whole overly autotuned sound is what I am used to. Impressive, but "Taking You Out" is still my favorite by them :) . Great reaction :) .
I just looked up that song, its in my YT history, so that is one of them that I have heard. :) I actually just listened to it again, its pretty good. I like the main chorus in that one. It didnt make me dance like Flavor of Blue did though :P Thanks, I actually had a lot of fun with this song. I was super excited to post this one :D
@@Shreddawg HAHA. I don't "Dislike" Passcode but everyone's doing it. If you want to talk about Bieber then i can tell you what dislike descending to hate is.😆
Lol I gotcha. To be fair though, passcode been in the game for a while for sure though. But you are right there is a lot of it now. Im not complaining though, i like a lot of it.
Hi shreddawg i've invented a new genre for this kind of music cos bands like Passcode are ten a penny nowadays. "Screams & Cleans". I liked the 16 bit shoot-em-up transition tho :)
Hahaha thats actually really funny. I like the screams & cleans, makes for great music while working out! Yeah the video game sound was so cool. Totally unexpected.
Yeah, actually that works very well. Ill probably use that in the future if I have to describe them. Thanks for the tip! Such a great combination of sounds.
I don't listen to them regularly, but they are certainly pretty cool. Great production also. Not sure if you are into psychedelic rock, but you should check out Kikagaku Moyo. A true Japanese deepcut. There are hardly any reactions to their music on RU-vid, but I think they deserve some attention. It's great stuff. Maybe listen to them performing Smoke and Mirrors live.
You know I have not heard of them and I do not listen to too much psychedelic rock but im open to listening to pretty much any Japanese rock. All the artists are incredible at what they do. Ill be sure to check it out!
I listen to Hanabie all the time, they are major part of my workout playlist. I know Ive heard all of their songs with MVs. I think they have the full Girls Reform Manifest album on their YT. Ill double check if there are any songs from that album I dont know. If there is one or two, ill check them out.
Have you ever checked the group called Yoasobi? Since you said that you like J-pop and vocaloid, you'll like this group. Yoasobi is my #2 fav group (#1 is Band-Maid, of course). The group consists of two members, Ayase and Ikura, and the fixed support band. Ayase is a vocaloid producer/composer/singer, and Ikura is a singer with angelic voice (she is also known as Rila Ikuta, and has been performing as a singer-song-writer since she was 15 years old, she is 21 now). If you are interested in, I suggest you these two videos to start: Racing into the night:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j1hft9Wjq9U.html Gunjo:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NyUTYwZe_l4.html Also I'd like to suggest the female bassist, Hikaru Yamamoto, of the support band. She is quickly becoming one of my fav bassists:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FRMTbL9xa3M.html Have fun!
Thank you so much!! I do not believe I have heard of them. I do like Jpop and Vocaolid. As mentioned, I went to Miku Expo when it was here in Los Angeles. The last time I went to Japan I stayed in Akiba for 2 weeks. I went to this club called MOGRA where they do anime and vocaloid mixes. One of the nights I went there was Vocaloid Mix night. Everyone was wearing their Miku shirts and I was wearing my MIku Expo shirt, it was very fun. I will for sure check this out, it sounds fun! :) Thank you so much! :D
@@Shreddawg Just for a moment I thought you were talking about Miku Kobato🤔 Soon I realized you meant Miku Hatsune😂 Lyrics of Yoasobi songs are based on novels, i.e., they have stories. So please check the lyrics as well😉
Haha yeah, I can see how that can be a bit confusing >.< Oh thats really cool! I for sure will. I like stuff like that, it adds a whole other layer to the song. Very cool, thank you for the info :)
@@Shreddawg If you like Yoasobi songs I suggested, I also suggest you to compare their English lyrics versions with original Japanese versions (there are 5 English version songs). What amazed me most about their English versions are that they sound almost like Japanese original lyrics and keep the original story lines. After you listen to the Japanese version first, then listen to the English version of the same song, you will doubt your ears. The lyricist of the English version is a real genius. Btw, Ayase (of Yoasobi) composed several Miku songs. Here is one of them:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eZ0E3Rkv0NA.html
