wow this SSS gamemode sucks but passenger is awesome dont be me and get mod y (i got the wrong mod lol) Edited by Pepp (he also made the thumbnail for this one specific vid) #arknights
@@Husk1204 it's Understandable bcs his stat is very low for 6 star caster despite with tight restriction back then. but now it's different, they decide to break the restriction and that make him enter Big 3 Caster.
Just finished maxing out my passenger a few hours ago, and my main motivation for doing it was realizing he was absolutely amazing in SSS. Also helps that his s3 is just fun as hell and I love using him in IS2 and general content too.
Yii went from calling Passenger "that funny man" to "my savior" is truly the greatest anime character development arc i've ever seen. 69/10 will watch it again
Playing SSS as a sniper-GG stacker main in the later levels is like trying to pass your driving test after weeks and weeks of practice, but there's an 80% chance that your car has been replaced with a tank you don't know how to drive and you've only got enough fuel for half of the test
What's up with the enemy priority of GG in the Toron Mine stage with the shield guards? Normally GG's S3 prioritizes enemies closer to the blue box but for some reason she keep targeting shield guards which are just standing there even when there are enemies entering the blue box, so weird, cost me life points. I wonder if it's a bug.
Its cuz passneger actually has a good kit that is Reeeeeaaaaallly held back by multiple big factors: SP charge, DP cost, Damage/skill downtime SSS and IS fixes 2/3 of those things making him one of the best units on those game modes
I learned the importance of niche units while playing Battle Cats. There are some units in that game that are useless or underwhelming for 95% of content but when you get to the stage they are made for they shine the brightest.
Schwarz got a positive remark. I am happy. Also, another thing, technically you can use tactician vanguards for the buffs (even if they suck for damage) due to them having the same buff as casters. At the very least, they cost significantly less.
Btw, does attack speed affect Passenger's S3? If so Aak, Pushers, or Pullers could be decent options to bring as they can be put on ranged ties and the B-Side of specialists gives attack speed and the SP regen. They are also cheaper options and pushers can become sudo lane holders against lighter enemies when stacked with vanguards and defenders.
@@Shadow6OO the skill actually has a proc interval of 0.5s so no, ASPD do not buff his performance any further. The only thing you can do is pumping up his ATK and reduce the enemy's res.
Three things: 1) Stacking Casters Side A is a good idea, and now I feel kind of foolish for not thinking about it. In my defense I tried Schwarz and Rosa, but their range is awkward, and the chances of me ending up with a physical dmg like Jessica instead of BP is high, so yeah that's understandable 2) Lv 3 Modules are important...for the Abyssal Hunters :v 3) I'll just wait until Gavialter and Penance comes and use them to tank *everything*
To everyone who struggles: just start with 6-8 supporters (just not summoners since they can bottleneck you max op count) and rest are your core members. Supporters are cheap, give 5 energy and 1 op on deployment so they help you fish for ops you want even in last stages where your deck becomes too stacked. Ranged vanguards are a blessing, noir corne is good to buff your main dps for a cheap cost. Suzu and Angie can roflstomp most maps if you stack them on casters and vanguards. Carnelian is a monster with 3 caster + 2 snipers stack, can hit behind her and her s3 scales with atk speed to bonkers dmg.
The real Goldenglow strat is to use S2 and proper positioning. S2 is permanent skill (e.g. Thorns S3, Blaze S2) and it is more than sufficient at doing AoE damage and slows if you crank attack speed on her, so its constantly detonating drones. Goldenglow S3 strat is hella fun though and still has AoE dmg.
Doing this every 2 weeks will get tedious, but I really appreciate how much this mode makes casters relevant. Passenger is great here, but I've also gotten a lot of use out of Dusk, Carnelian, and Leizi have also never felt better.
Being a Passenger stan, for some reason I had a sense of dread when I saw Passenger on the thumbnail on a Yii video XD That being said, yes Passenger's my savior in SSS honestly he and Gnosis make one hell of a stall team XD
I’ve personally been on the Goldenglow S2 sniper buff train with Ceobe S1 buffed with other casters. Also had Mudrock S2 buffed with vanguard/defenders. Managed to beat Iron Carrot Mine with the only time I needed to change the strategy was the stage with the boats where I needed to get Eyjafjalla S3 out with a caster buff to get the groups of boat guys. Now hopefully I can make another strategy for Toron Mine.
As one who lacks pidgeonman best I can do is Leizi who I've been wanting to build for a while and her module really made her S2's collosal SP cost much more tolerable. So, she's E2'd and I'm gathering mats to properly build her ehe.
Zafang says Sniperstack Passenger S2 is better on floors 6/7/8 and I think he is objectively wrong. Wanna yell at him together? I'll be behind the Denny's with the pigeons.
Goldenglow strat is cringe because it’s not the ukulele god passenger, I’ve always been and always will be a passenger enjoyer and spread the word that HIS MUSIC WAS ELECTRIC
It's funny how Passenger, once seen as the worse 6 star, now (basically) dominates 2 game modes, has his own game mode in the future, and also has a 24 op skin, the only other operator who have this being W.
Counterintuitively, I’ve found more consistency starting with no carries and picking all vg/supporters and praying lmao, just restart the run if you potato the +2 ops on the first 2/3 levels. Passenger being a great opus as well as good stack fodder means hes almost always the choice if you see him, hes good at all points and can carry. Godsenger rise up My first clear was a scuffed vanguard+sniper stack that ended with Godsenger, The childhood LMG suzuran, Gno moving sis, angelina, and weedy going for perma stuns lol
So far SSS has been way more fun than I expected. There's just so many new strategies to try with the stacking buff mechanic. That said, doubling the material limit and tripling the droprates wouldn't hurt.
They should really make it autodeployable or more randomized than it is though. We're expected to replay this every week and it's just gonna be repeating the same thing over and over, with some frustrating restarts if your RNG is bad. Waste of time after the first clear or two. :(
I have started playing Arknights a lot fairly recent and have only 4 E2 characters in roster (although I have 18 six stars ops) and, as you said, SSS is very tough not only beacause im a dumbass, but also because I only have around 15 ops built at least to E1 70-90. Now when I stopped crying, I want to say thank you Yii for making such great entertaining and educational content
I mean I'm partial to the s1 3x sniper 3x caster perma slow Passenger with ×sniper Gnosis, groups stay still or just advance slowly enough they then meet a fully buffed Irene or Spectral and just... ded
yea i don't really see the point of bringing 6* snipers to stack for GG or Gnosis, I just bring the cheapest ones possible like Kroos or Jessica in order to stack up as fast as possible. Wish I had Passenger lol ;-;
SSS has been way more fun than i anticipated (fuck Toron mine 7). For those with dificulties try the following: -GG S2 + snipers -Irene gaming -eunectes (she doesnt need buffs because duelists are raid bosses) -Spalter with attack and defensive buffs -A lot of supporters (use then as reroll cards to get the desirable combos faster) -Roberta (Yes, roberta. She is a cheap supporter with 2 block, during skill she gets 3 block and Def+, her modelers will ensure your irene -with 5 ATK and SP buffs wont get oneshotted by dogs) -Tactician vanguards (Vanguard buffs for ranged ops yay) -Using low cost snipers (Justice knight and rangers count as snipers too!) and Durin! -Noir corne for easy 40% def -Cutter S2 if you dont have/get irene -Shamare S2 is AMAZING (-50% ATK is extra valuable in this mode if you plan to block enemies) -git gud -Carnelian S2 can stunlock enemies with few sniper buffs -Ethan gaming -Pushers with SP buffs are nearly untouchable -For the snail boss, keep a vanguard in the field to counter its mechanics and only roll when no enemies are nearby your ops. (Or you can keep an eye in the preparation zone to know what are the chances of you taking the L) -For the golem, any chain caster in the middle facing right will deal with the stones, when the caster gets stunned place a supporter to free them. (suzuran, podenco and agelina are extra valuable because they can aid in battle, free the caster and heal) Perfurmer talent is enough for the boss aoe. -If you can keep her alive (thx roberta) Lappland makes the defense crushers a joke.
I see we have similar feelings about SSS. I love building cracked out operators on a fraction to none of the effort of trying to do so in IS, while hating that once you get the routine down, it's 20-30 minutes of slogging through the first 5-6 floors followed by watching your entire squad collapse into singularity because of the gradual forced roster bloat colliding with the sharply ramped up difficulty of the final floors. The fixed stage order and not needing to start over from the very beginning unless you're chasing the secret medals makes this a game mode I actually won't mind doing every 2-3 weeks until the CN nerf comes our way. Did both services blind-ish with GG and Suzuran S3 with special guest Ceobe S2, which is one of the most hilarious things you can do in Arknights, DADADADA This then MOTIVATED me to finish S2 mastery of GG and Suzuran, so I finished beating my head against this game mode for the secret medals shortly before this video was uploaded. In the end my Toron Mine battle plan ended up involving making sure Mountain was in my starting lineup simply because he's still such an incredible lane holder on his own, Ptilo to make sure GG could survive more than a loop of Sphere rolling past, and Supporter A because I might as well take the extra third of a draw over being able to choose my draw and... still not seeing anything that could possibly help me. Such as, for example, not giving me Ptilo in time for said loop of Sphere rolling past. MVP ended up being Nearl, my last forced addition in a hand of all good picks (ALMOST went with Jaye or Radiant Nearl) who went on First Aid duty to save GG while I crossed my fingers and prayed Mountain and Saria could handle the actual lane holding duty without needing that Defender stack. Toron Mine LT-7 can go step on a LEGO.
I have tried to do SSS, and I am... very frustrated by it. Maybe it's because I'm not good at strategising, but I always feel like I end up just failing no matter what I do. Maybe I should look up strategies. Preferably ones that include operators I have! (cries in Passenger & GG-less player)
Taron Mine 5 is what it feels like to see your loved one get killed by a funny looking man in a Jesus costume but he speaks in randomly selected Phrases. Like The Game expects me to stack up units, have AOE, defend 2 Lanes and Block? Like what, GG always targeted the defender guy, whilst I was trying to build up any kinda RNG heavy defender on the right, nothing worked. Still very much disturbed. I wanna try this team but idk how the Main team would look for beginning this run [Im a heavy Passenger Simp]
Imagine having built casters Fr I looked on my main and I only have Eyja, Mosti and Steward built (Oh and after using Amiya guard so much i forgor that she has caster form) And well for snipers... At least 10 of them lmao
Thank you for that last message, Yii. Same to you, also Frick you for placing that message like that, Yii. You know that youtube is ass for scrolling to specific frames.
I don't have passenger so I've been relying on Gnosis 5-sniper stacks a lot, I finally won a run with Gnosis + Chalter (3-caster 2-sniper), Gnosis literally aced the final boss
This whole gamemode is a bitch and I went into it completely blind. The first squad I built was your standard squad of everything. Couldn't get past stage 4 of carrot mine. I reconsidered my strategy, and imagine my surprise when I found out that if you wanna rebuild your squad, you gonna start the entire run from the beginning. 2nd go was garbage because I found out my snipers did jack shit upon reaching stage 6. Restarted again. Got stuck at stage 7 with my new squad, many deadweight specialists, my guards whom I thought would be good, (mega-buffed Thorns/Lappland) were useless once again. I redid my strategy one more time, this time using tips from a guide and building a squad with only casters and supporters. I really struggled with the final two stages, getting focused on just rng and just tunnel visioning on the perfect area to use Carnelian on stage 8. Problem was, my Carnelian only had skill level 7, and the luck it took for her to get max pot caster stacks, and for my vanguards to generate enough dp for it was too little. With a helpful tip from a friend, run number 5 included Mudrock to hold the enemies off. And my dumbass finally noticed an Ifrit lane and abandoned Carnelian all together. It was hell. But, I managed to clear it all by myself, spent 5 days revising my strategies for this, so I'm proud, and also glad it's over. Then I saw Toron mine.
I've fully cleared both towers with my f2p 9 months old account thanks to 4 sniper 1 caster goldenglow and 5 sniper gnosis. What i found is that GG can basically take care of most early waves solo if you just have her out early enough. In stages 1-5 she's more than enough for both towers with just some unstacked lane holders like mountain or mudrock if the stage has lancers. In 6,7,8 later waves she starts having issues with downtime which you can fix by building a secondary carry, for me it was either 5x sniper gnosis or a strong guard stack lane holder which i can drop surtr on top of for emergency wave clear. I've also found sora to be pretty useful, even without stacking her buff is pretty good, but if you can give her some caster or vanguard buffs she gets even better. I still wish i had skalter though... The biggest obstacle for me always was not getting the right characters at the start, when i could set up GG early i could clear the stage most of the time, unless my draws were unlucky and i could never get set up for my secondary carry in later stages. I think the game mode would be way way way better if they removed the card game pretenses and removed the randomness from at the very least your initial "hand", having a fixed starting set would eliminate a lot of restarting for later stages in make the mode more tolerable overall.
I try to use both at once, because i have both maxxed, although GG is the primary, and chen and irene are importantfor holding the ground. I need to get passenger module upgrades/second module before i will be comfortable with trying to use him as the primary. Also, mech accord module when?
i bring level 1 blacknight and beanstalk along with snipers to compensate with goldenglow's downtime and it works really well. although stage 6 is the farthest i've gotten so far. gnosis + goldenglow is cracked.
I find that 5 sniper stacked Leizi is even stronger than passenger. She gets a permanent slow uptime, and since she gains 4SP per attack, ASPD not only buffs her DPS but her skill uptime too.
SSS doesn¨t suck because it's hard, it sucks because they're basically asking us to do manual annihilation now where you have to pay full attention through the whole thing
0:36 tbh i didnt even watch a guide to do that and before sss i thought that golden glows dps was nice but i can use something else but now she is the storm that is ap- i mean my main carry in sss god fuckign bless golden glow
