I turned 10 on the 26th. In 5th grade. Sinatra was filming Robin and the Seven Hoods when he got the word of the JFK assassination. I was a Dick Tracy fan. I knew who Sparkle and B.O. Plenty were.

I keep thinking that the term ‘working girl’ hadn’t yet acquired the unfortunate connotation it soon would. Especially as the arrival of the latest wave of feminism would have made even its commonplace meaning offensively patronising. Though I suppose it was better than his other frequent question to women, what their husbands did for a living.

Hugh played well and his partners were good too. Poor Barbara couldn't catch a break! And that hat is not very attractive. It's kind of..obnoxious looking. I've seen better looking headwear from that time period!

Hugh is a bit of a flirt isn't he, it's OK with the first lady but the second contestant is only 16, and he kept kissing her, I dunno I found it a bit uncomfortable, even with the first lady contestant. He reminds me of a now ex boyfriend of my mum's somewhat who tried to chat me up when she went to the loo in a pub we were in.... cringe. Bit letchy. The famous hat looked like she'd borrowed Minnie Mouses ear and plonked it on her head.

Daisy Cassidy There is nothing wrong with using animal skins for clothing or a hat. Not all minks are inhumanely killed for this purpose.

what are you talking about? It wasn't "rude" to wear a hat...atypical and unusual certainly, but not "rude" or against any policy or rule. Women still wore hats routinely back then for fashion and weather - including at times indoors. Its not an issue today because hat wearing has dramatically declined.
