I have to think Charlie Chaplin was proud of Sydney. He really came into his own. He was quick, smart, talented, charming and handsome. There is probably no fairy tale here. Sydney worked hard for his father's respect. Anyway, I really enjoy watching him on Password.

I LOVE how you can easily see the resemblance in Sydney to his father!! Especially at 0:15.

Very much like Monsieur Verdoux.

Not his son. Sydney was the elder half brother to Charlie.

@@nostalgik._ He had a son named Sydney as well, born in the 1920s. This is the son here, who was in Broadway plays. Charlie's older brother would've been in his late 70's by this time!

Sydney Chaplin's uncle, Sydney Chaplin, died shortly before this episode.

A local guy for me to cheer for here from Spokane. And my mom would have been 8 months old and my dad 2 years and 9 months, both back in Spokane being a baby and toddler. Odds are my moms parents saw this episode, I know they had a TV and enjoyed these shows.

Sydney Chaplin said three for a 3 cent stamp! That's what first class postage was back then!

The price of first-class postage in 1965 was five cents.

The second male contestant (who played with Sydney) resembled Allen a bit.

I saw "Funny Girl" with Streisand and Chaplin three times. I would have gone more if I could afford it.

I'm always amazed seeing Charlie Chaplin's children on all these American TV shows, showing no anger or bitterness at the country that betrayed him and treated him like a criminal, after all he'd done for them!!! >:(

Charlie Chaplin was lower than a snake's belly. He was an adulterer and a drunk and a pro-communist piece of trash. Sleazy actor types are NOT good role models.

i would try the opposite on congress. If pro is the opposite of con (Cons and pros) then the opposite of congress would be progress. Plus it makes perfect sense.

Good episode of "Password". Top Twenty Best Episodes. The Celebs were good, and the contestants were pretty good. Thinking about the Lightning round PW "Congress". She was close, but no cigar. The Celeb (S.C.) might have said: Meeting, or Legislature, or Association, then in desperation: "Medal", "Of", "Honor". Total official name is "The Congressional Medal of Honor". The Nation's highest Medal for bravery in the time of War.

that hubert player seemed somewhat rude - he should not have said "you said that last time". and then he left without even trying to shake nanette's hand.

I’m glad Allen said, in Nannette's defence, that yes she’d already used it but actually it was a “good word”.

what i don't understand is Isaac Newton discovering gravity in the 1600. Things have been falling on the ground since Adam and Eve. It took them that long to figure it out?
@kentetalman9008
@kentetalman9008 Месяц назад
There's a HUGE difference between seeing things falling on the ground and attributing it to gravitational attraction.
