It's undefeated. the only other and more advanced way would be to learn to code. But because of how powerful it is it's also a pro tool that takes a lot of time to master
You dropped an actual bomb with the Javascript reference. For people who are familiar with simple coding, like Basic, what's the best way to learn the Javascript commands and syntax needed to do basic functions like this?
Hey, I wouldn't recommend to deep dive into JS unless you want to learn to code JS. Axure is just built on top of JS so knowing some basics of it helps while playing with variables. This is a good place to start as you can solve provbems and learn within the browser window: www.freecodecamp.org/learn - navigate to web dev / javascript / basic javascript and can take lesson by lesson
Hi,thank you so much for all the stuff you make, I have this question that has bothered me for a day, that how to sync two repeaters? I'm able to go the hard way to make it happen, where I basically create two identical repeaters with same set of data, and any change I make with either repeater will affect both. But I know this is not the best solution. I think the best solution will be one repeater as the 'main' repeater, and the other one just copy it no matter what, especially now I have several repeaters I need to sync. Let me show you what I did. I was able to get it partially work, where I use the main repeater A, item loaded, add rows to repeater B, so in this case I can get repeater B to be the same as A, however when I need to make a change to repeater A, A will add all its remaining data to B, not quite sync. So now I try in A's interaction, mark all B rows, delete marked rows, and then add A's rows to B, this end up showing just one row in B..... so it doesn't quite work. Sorry for such a messy question, I don't know if it makes sense to you at all, again thank you so much for the series.
Do they need to contain identical data? Have you thought about placing a repeater in a master and making an instance of it. Efdectly it would contain just one repeater in several places and could replace same dataset. Not sure if this would work, but might be worth a try
@@vaexperience That's a great idea, thanks a lot, I haven't thought about it, but the thing is these repeaters have different appearances, so I don't know...Now I just simply set the data for each repeater individually, basically forget about the sync thing, not really the point of a prototype after all right? Hi men, greetings from Colombia, I want to ask you. Do you know how can I efficiently work with Photoshot and axure?, for example when I have maked a UI in Photoshot, I have to replicate the work manually in axure, that is a lot of time. Sorry if my english isn´t good.
Hey, it's a difficult one. I used to work with Photoshop and cut piece by piece to then prototype in Axure. But the fact is it's not a great combination. I'd recommend to transition to Sketch/Figma or Adobe XD as they are made for UI work. Most of them also have a plugin for easy handover to Axure.
Andy your mistake is "I have maked a UI in Photoshop" because it takes a lot of time and it is hard to modify/update. Do everything in Axure from start!

I have a global variable and would like to make an action (modify a widget state) when the value of this variable equal to "good". Is it possible in Axure? Because I was trying to find under interactions (variable change)...
Hey, yes. But you need to use conditions for that. If you want to trigger the global variable check then add interaction to something e.g. button click. Then next to interaction click 'enable cases'. Also check the playlist for conditions video might be fastest to get going
@@vaexperience Thanks man for the quick reply. Actually I would like to use for validation. Disable the next button until all form element filled out correctly. I guess there is an easier way, but I couldn't figure it out.
