@@anubis5279 And as much as we all try to play it cool it is like this for so many of us. And the more interesting factor is that it is by choice for most. It is in our nature to avoid loneliness but it is also in our nature to seek out our idealistic state of being and it is so rare that the through lines connect for two different people the relationships tend to crumble no matter how hard people try to force them and at the end of the day we find our selves having an easier time connecting to games and movies than to other people.

As a guy who'll be 30 this year and single for the last 10.5 of those years.... yeah it does. I got a car, a fair full time job, fantastic mental health.... nothing seems to help. Most of the women in my age demographic are married with kids, or they already have kids and don't want more. If I date higher then birth defects go up if the mom is 35+. Date lower and they're getting married and starting to have kids. Into the younger 20s they're starting to get into longer term relationships.... Gosh man, it feels like I'm in a box here. Apologies, this title does indeed hit close to home for me.

@@VadeaShepard It's okay to vent how it feels. Dude, personally I think you're ready for a serious relationship with how financially and emotionally stable you've made yourself! I can honestly say you've aged like wine. However if you find yourself trapped in that box then there's still the option of staying single. I know this sounds counterintuitive but with everything you've built upon for yourself, why settle? You should be proud of what you've accomplished on your own with peace of mind. As a guy who's in their early 20s, the title just seems "Oh well." After all, it's not like you're incapable anyway, in my own separate comment, in order to find love you must be in love with yourself. I hope you can take into consideration with those 2 options. Either way you are what makes you happy, nobody and nothing will unless you allow it. Above all else, love yourself for who you are, both pros and cons then the right love will find you!

@@zeroremnant4477 Hello there! I should clarify, I do love myself most days. I am who I am because of both the good and bad in my life. While there are some people who are happy being single forever that's definitely not what I want. I really want a family of my own and to do that I need a healthy relationship with a significant other. While my job pays well enough to live with a roommate somewhat comfortably, it isn't enough on my own and certainly not enough to even begin the process of trying to solo adopt. As a single male, adoption is all but impossible for me, I'd never get approved (even if I did have the finances for it). Nor do I have the money to pay someone else to carry my kid for me, that's really expensive. Additionally I'd want my kid to have a functional relationship with their birth mother. I'm very happy with who I am right now, but other than a couple of areas, I've done a vast majority of my growth that I can do on my own. I appreciate your words of encouragement, however. ^-^

We lived together as best friends for 3 years before both of us caught feelings, confessed, and ended up engaged. Just to sum it up.

Some of us just have bad luck when it comes to love. I am mostly NOT single by choice(except for always having been aggressively invested in my ambitions). I do want someone but just can't find one who I click with in that way. Sometimes I get girls who I don't reciprocate the feelings of and sometimes I like girls who are usually not available for some reason(whether it's already having someone in their lives or just not feeling the same way about me).
