Very lovely and delicate , love it . Thank you for sharing . Maybe i should purchase i used plate from ebay and try some pastels , looks like you had a lot of fun creating . I do only acrylics and watercolours on my plates . I place the drawing /sketch or photography under my plate and i would draw the contour with a fine brush . Then i let it dry , when is already dry i will add the colours inside of the contour , either is a landscape , still nature and very rare a portrait . Let dry again . As you did i would stencil some on the bare areas and then do the pull . Takes a little bit of a time do finish the whole thing but i am in no rush 🙂

So wonderful to see, just love the prints! Question, do you find it hard to get the residual pastel cleaned off the plate? Thanks for the great tutorial!

Hi Kathy thanks so much for your comment x Cleaning the plate is really very easy using a small amount of baby oil on a tissue and gently wiping the Pastel residue off...If the baby oil leaves a residue I wipe it clean with a little water & a baby wipe or I rinse my plate with a little dishwashing liquid under the tap...So glad you loved the video x The next couple of Pastel Videos will show some different Pastel techniques on the Gelli Plate...lots of fun!
