"why didn't you just kill it?" Response: why didn't you "just" win? The guy is probably really nice and a pleasure to play against... But it felt uncomfortable to watch and seemed like Kyle didn't get a lot of respect that match. I hope that's just wrong and that they're both happy with how the match went. That uncomfortableness I felt watching has made me consider how I behave some games... And I think I need to work on it - I think I am sometimes guilty of the exact kind of behaviour!/attitude I saw on this video. Good games anyway guys
That whole Entreat + Warping Wail debacle was hard to watch, between Philips trying to angle shoot and the judge not knowing that Warping Wail has multiple modes that do not require targets.
Wail was a known card in hand and he had a counter for it. I assume he was just confused if he had to pay for the miracle first or what. So I wouldn't call that angle shooting.
@@nolanpearson211 The miracle trigger goes on the stack not actually casting the card. So with the trigger on the stack Phil fetched and then Kyle wanted to counter the Entreat but it hadn't been cast yet. I would have had the Wail be cast still but obviously he cant choose to counter when there were no cards to counter on the stack.
Philips, my guy, this isn't poker. Once you've shown you don't have the counter, don't sit there like you have all these decisions. It's incredibly poor sportsmanship, and borderline slow play.
I'll never understand how every damn sperg lord on the planet developed that insane card fidgeting. It's only the tryhards that do it, like it's some kinda special skill they picked up. Just an absolute mindless copycat behavior. I'd love it if showering and being able to look others in the eye when you speak should be popularized in the game. Instead of this asinine card fidgeting.
