My favorite starter Pokémon is Torchic 😊 My Blaziken and I had the most fabulous adventures in Hoenn, I do miss 3rd Gen days! In 5 years, I am *really really* hoping to have a home and a child by then! Was talking with my therapist about how things take time. And my dreams aren’t to be given up on, I just need to adjust my timeline. But man, I would just love the stability of living somewhere I love and have a home I own. It’ll happen. Just patience.

10 years ago I started collecting Pokemon cards and due to financial constraints when I was younger and family finances, I had to stop. Pokemon products in our region of the world can get really expensive as well due to the exchange rate. I’m finally at a spot where I can comfortably (not excessively) relive my lost childhood and collect which I plan to do so for the foreseeable 5 years and the future. My favorite Pokemon is Mudkip because he just seems like such a chill guy. Love the content Philip! Especially the personal touch on the mental health side of things as I resonate deeply with that.

My favorite starter has to be Bulbasaur, I grew up playing Pokémon blue and always thought Bulbasaur was the best starter due the the type advantage he gave at the first two gyms! Charmander has always been my favorite starter. Ever since I first started watching pokemon indigo league I fell in love with the pokemon and adored it, growing up I started collecting charmander and charizard cards so that I could see my favprite pokemon everyday 😄. I see myself being happy and getting my drivers licence.
Squirtle 🐢 is my favorite starter, it was my choice when playing Pokemon Blue when i was a kid. 5 years from now i see myself growing my collection and helping my kids grow their collections.

My favourite starter is treecko. My first ever edition was the 3rd Gen Ruby and I started my first own Pokemon game with the small green lizard 🦎. Good memories and I still have my ruby edition which is one of the most loved items of my Pokemon collection 😁 In 5 years I will hopefully have a secured job and a small family with my wife. Maybe we'll live in a house with enough space where I can also display my collectibles 😁

My favorite starter is Piplup. Definitely love when they brought out the tag team cards with Piplup. I see myself within 5 years Getting back on my feet from my divorce. Finding success as a creator, and spending a lot of time with my Brand-new grandson. It makes me feel so old saying that, but I am only in my early 40s lol. And you are definitely correct on that one percent. I've been trying to pull any of the alt arts from lost origin to master the set, and still yet to pull one. Lost origin is such a tough set.

For a chance, my favorite starter is cyndaquil (wish caterpie was a starter), love everything about the fiery boy and the evolutions don't disappoint. As to where I see myself in 5years I'm really not sure right now, my life's been in a whirlwind situation where everything drastically changes and mostly in bad ways so I'm not sure but hope it gets better. Keep it up with your videos, been addicted to them recently.

Unfortunately it's a minimum 30/45 minute drive to the nearest town that sells singles or hosts events. I know there are lots of people in the community that would love to have something here. My first game that I played was Pokemon Diamond. I chose Piplup as my starter and it has became my favorite starter of all time. In 5 years, I'd probably have much more booster boxes to invest and probably would start selling some of my SWSH boxes.
Scorbunny, my first starter in the first pomemon game i played 😊 In five years I’ll still be enjoying this hobby with my nephews and maybe my own kid. I hope to take my own kid to japan when they are old enough to appreciate and learn from different cultures, and of course a stop to a pokemon center is required 😂

My fav starter is 100% squirtle. I absolutely adore the 151 illustration rare, and I'm crossing my fingers sending one off for grading. In 5 years I see myself spreading the joy for the hobby and teaching kids how to collect, play, and protect their cards.

Squirtle is my favourite starter for sure especially the leader of the Squirtle squad with those fire shades. 😎 in 5 years I plan to continue to work hard to give my family the life they deserve. Nothing beats watching your little ones grow up in a safe and secure family unit.
Recently got into collecting Pokémon cards, and my fav starter would be Bulbasaur. The Bulbasaur IR from 151 is the reason why I got into this hobby! 5 years from now I see myself being much more extroverted and approachable. (And also completing my Pokémon dream of collecting sets of Eeveelution V's) :D
My favorite starter Pokémon of all time is Mudkip from gen III, I work as a Aircraft Mechanic currently and in 5 years I hope to become a pilot, it’s always been my dream as a child to fly airplanes and still is to this day, sadly I did have to make decisions to hold off on working towards my certification to support my family but I can’t say I regret any of it because I’ve learned so much and met some of the best people through working as a mechanic. Dreams and goals are almost never a straight shot but I still want to be a pilot and will continue to do my best to make it a reality.
Favorite starter is tepig, black and white is my favorite series. I would love to open black and white packs. I see myself enjoying life with my family and improving myself. Also I read the book “the psychology of money”… amazing
My favourite starter Pokemon is Mankey, who of course ultimately evolves into Anniliape. I have only just started collecting Pokemon cards with my children, and I am hoping in 5 years time we will have some collective memories with Pokemon TCG, Pokemon Go, and Pokemon Unite.

Torchic hits very differently, he has been with me when I was in the lowest point of my life. He made me forget at least for a while all the problems I have when I was young.

In 5 years, I'll be preparing for my youngest son's 5th birthday (he's due in two weeks now)! my fav starter is mudkip. Swampert is my fav evolved starter so has to be mudkip. Also love Sceptile so its a close battle. I see myself expanding my collection even further in the next 5 years as ive recently gotten back into the hobby
It was bound to happen with this at some point - the pack selection in these are just too good. I remember thinking to myself these things at $80 a pop are a steal and you’ll double or triple your value in probably a year or two.
My favourite is Treecko! In 5 years, I will have taken more videographer gigs instead of just editing from home. Also, I’ll have have finished my studies - and finally, if everything keeps going like it is, I will be married, which is a rare thing in my family 💫

Favourite starter... hard call, but I'm leaning towards Fuecoco. I wouldn't normally as someone who grew up with Gen 1 & 2, except his voice is so ridiculously cute in the anime - he's such a derpy goof. There's Pokemon where the picture alone doesn't do them justice. 5 years from now? Trading that EB Games Umbreon for 12L of water during the water wars of 2029. That, or more optimistically, proudly marching with a bunch of people in a historic protest/mutiny against the mega-wealthy.
my fave starter is an absolute classic, being bulbasaur. i honestly dont know what it is about him but since i first saw him i've just been drawn to the cute little guy. In five years i plan on hopefully graduationg from ADFA, and getting my dream job of aeronautical engineering like my late dad.

My favourite starter is Cyndaquil! The first Pokemon I ever got level 100 was Typhlosion (that I named after myself for some reason) in Silver way back when. My students will often gift me Cyndaquil cards they pull from packs cause they know I love it. As a teacher, it’s hard to project 5 years to the future and feel like il be in a different spot but hoping that I am working in some sort of student wellbeing role, as either a leader or assistant principal

I was roughly 10-11 when Omega Ruby and Alpha Saphire came out, and those games made me play the earlier generations, including original Ruby and Saphire for the Gameboy. I appreciate how much thought and effort the Pokémon company put into the Charizard UPC, it really comes across as a premium product. I quite like the promo card which shows the charizard at rest too, it sets itself apart from the others by showing a quiet moment as opposed to the flashy aggressive art of the others.
Me too! I have 5 of them sealed. I dropped one when I was messing around with inventory so it’s got a nice dent. Most likely will open it bc there is soooo much cool stuff inside. This is the best Pokémon product ever created. It will be worth $500 in a cpl years
Abit unorthodox of an answer, but my favourite starter/pokemon is Poliwhirl. I know I know it isn't a "traditional" starter, but my first gateway into Pokemon was the Pokemon Adventures manga. And Poliwag aka "Poli" was Red's first pokemon! I loveeeee Poli in the manga ever since that manga, I've been a pokemon fan ever since! There are some pros and cons to having Poliwhirl as my fav pokemon though. Slightly cheaper prices on plushies and cards. But they are pretty uncommon and hard to find. So in 5 years time, I see myself hopefully completing my Poliwhirl evolution line (meaning Poliwag+Poliwhirl+Poliwrath+Politoed) card collection! I am only about 30% in... but it's giving me a happy goal to look forward to!
My favorite starter is Blastoise! In 5 years I’ll be an established RN. I’ll have graduated, passed my NCLEX, finished a nursing residency, and have about 3 years of experience working as an ER Nurse. (Wish me luck in my last semester of nursing school y’all!)
