Anita my pastor's wife, i have never have any reason to comment on your case of divorce with my pastor. Am not a member of your ministry but took my time to develop a very deep respect for you and my pastor chris. I don't need to tell you what you have known and experienced about divorce but my prayers is that God gives you more understanding and direct your feets back to your house if you can. I know that so many things happens behind the closed door but there should be act of forgiveness on the part of both of you. I totally agree with you Okoh Pamela. We have to be very careful what we say about men and women of God. Nobody has a right to Judge them. God knows their situation more than as all. People need to learn to mind their own businesses. Pastor Anita is also a woman and a daughter of God and she has worked hard as much as her husband. Both of them deserve the best. All things work together for good for those who love God and those who are called according to His purposes. I don't know who's right or wrong and it's non of my business. I certainly pray for the restoration of their marriage. I would not go so far as to say that it is none of anyone’s business. Generally that would be true if the marriage did not affect anyone other than them. Here is the thing that so many people forget. When you are in public ministry you are open to scrutiny. That is just the way it is. If you can’t take the heat then get out of the kitchen. Also, one Timothy three and Titus one teachers that we are called to live above reproach as five fold ministry gifts. Not that we are perfect, but we should not have something so blatantly obvious in our lives that someone could point to it and calls defamation of character. The problem is that we have not demanded excellence in the ministry. So many times we have promoted people who had anointing but not the character to keep them where they have been placed. Certainly God is a restore. Certainly we should not condemn but pray for them, but we also should demand accountability and pristine holy lifestyles among ministers. It seems in the last few years when ministers fall that there is such a cavalier attitude toward it. It’s like oh well we all sin. It’s like swinging a pendulum. Years and years ago in the church she would be ostracized and that’s not good. Now it’s almost like it doesn’t matter I have not kept up with it, but he could have made a public statement to the effect that it was a great season and now the season is over and everyone would just give them well wishes. I actually heard one lady who is a minister say something like that and I lost all respect for her as a preacher of the gospel. So on the one hand we should not ostracized and beat people up, but on the other hand we should not act so casual toward it as though it doesn’t matter and we shouldn’t say anything because we are not to judge. We cannot judge peoples hearts, but we most certainly can judge fruit and we can judge by the word but what it says. May God bless and keep them both and restore their marriage in Jesus name.
