I agree with those encouraging you and pastor Chris to reconcile your marriage. Give it a try. Many people have done it for the sake of Christ and have found it to be better than the first marriage. I urge you to do it. Let not the enemy triumph. He thinks he won but that was only round one and both of you are still standing. There are times when 2 people get together marry they find out a lot of differences that either on can tolerate. The devil comes to steal and distroy.but God only knows their business. They are grown up to make what is best.i cannot see a wife of the gods power leaving. Looking back at His Ascension to the Father, He Commissioned those present....Men, Women. Children,--“GO INTO ALL THE WORLD, PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE........” Before I was privileged to study the Word of God in more details.....I read, was taught, responded to this Commission and was given the opportunity to obey....And preached/taught the message of God’s Love to many. One glorious positive response was that of my precious Mom, who came forward to allow her only child (me) to lead her to a saving knowledge of Christ....HALLELUJAH!! Pastor Chris is wrong to leave his wife and children so long all alone... scripture says he should not do that unless they both agree it to be so. Otherwise leaves room for error. Man should love his wife as Christ love church...so Pastor Chris should listen to his wife also and not just do as he please. God does not go against his own words. I still love them both though and they be in my prayers. And I still listen some sermons of Pastor Chris.
Very objective comment! And very scriptural...pride is what prevents us as Christians from accepting we have erred. Once this pride takes hold, we excuse our wrong actions even before God who says He regards the proud from afar but draws near to the humble. You may seem to succeed in ministry but if you fail in your home affairs or allow your ego to rule, then you've failed in all! Your Jerusalem first before any other! Millions of young Christians look up to the examples set by Christian leaders, and this break in relationship between this couple is not ordinary...the devil is the one profiting...people are going to take sides, a schism develops, divorce is accepted, pride rules, forgiveness (the fulcrum of Christianity) takes a backseat, etc. The tail of the dragon casts down the stars of heaven... When did Christians become comfortable about discussing the personal lives of men and women of God? Bible says "touch not my anointed, do my prophets no harm."(Psalms 105:15, 1 Chronicles 16:22). Don't touch them with your actions, words, writings or whatever. Jesus Christ said "your error is caused by your ignorance of the scriptures and of God's power. (Matthew 22:29) Before you begin to judge, take a look at your own life. Enjoy the grace from their lives and leave God to His prophets. After all, the bones of dead Elisha brought someone back to life. There is overflowing grace in them, enjoy it and stop judging them. That will not take you to heaven. Stay focused on Christ and not the personal lives of people. Bible says "....mind your own business...." (1 Thessalonians 4:11). GOD BLESS YOU.
GOD is Holy and He require us also to be holy,now a women standing in front of peoples wearing a trouser (pant) and preaching the word of GOD...Thats NOT holiness...unbelief women,peoples who live in sins they also wear pants...so whats the difference?... Have you ever studied logic? The Word of God is very logical for God is logical. But the Word of God is also very straightforward. What it says is also what it says! The Holy Spirit shall be poured out on all flesh, including woman, you are right. Do I disagree with that statement? NO! That is what you imply, also the Holy Spirit was poured out on Pentecost. Paul's letters came after that. The outpouring of Holy Spirit on all flesh has nothing to do with therefore women may teach in church, there is simply no logical connection. The fault lies in us doing our own thing in Gods name and not following scripture for we don't love God but rather ourselves!
