It's just an office building, why wouldn't BA be there? I work in a building in NYC that houses Food Network, Google, and Major League Baseball, all above a touristy marketplace for some reason. The skyscrapers have to be full of something.

Supertall skyscrapers a spare-no-expense type of deal that cost billions and billions of dollars to build, so it makes sense that each floor works like the ground floor. Plus One WTC is a brand new building (and one that has a lot of meaning behind it) so it should be able to pack a punch.

aviato287 x no, it isn’t easy. It may be easier with innate talent but it takes years of study and honing of your skills as a chef. Not to mention that she works as a test chef , which in my opinion is harder than being a normal chef because she works as a recipe developer which involves much more study in order to memorize which ingredients do what etc.

I'm a little proud that the first thing I thought was: Citric acid and natron (baking powder) 😊 we have a treat like that in Germany (Brausepulver). It foams like awesome in your mouth. Great with vodka, too 😅 Claire's outcome was awesome. And she stayed sane! So happy for her.

600 PSI is actually, literally, a pipe bomb. Any failure in the pressurized system and the counter and anyone standing next to it would be gone, not to mention the massive spray of molten sugar. Ben Krasnow knows what he's doing and has built equipment like that before. Messing around with pipe fittings in an afternoon is practically a guarantee that someone will lose their arm, their skin, or their head.

Claire should try poptarts next, those dont seem too difficult, they are tasty and they could be improved. She could make them not as sweet and amp up the fruit flavor (if she goes with the fruit ones which I think are the best for a breakfast pastry).

@@batfriend3773 No because a tart is kinda like a pie with no top, it's like a 9×9 circle pan with pie crust sort of thing that you can fill with custard or fruit. A poptart is more like a quick, more portable version of that made for breakfast instead of dessert. I may be wrong on some parts of the but that's just how I see the two pastries.

We the comments section should also note: We don’t want Claire to get in trouble because she is stressed. We are concerned because whoever is doing production is obviously just choosing difficult and complex items that aren’t fun. When is the last time she was actually able to make something that exists into something actually gourmet?? She can’t because she’s spending days trying to work out how to get the ingredients correct. Gourmet should be better not that she achieved a semi passable product. Give her reasonable tasks with room to improve on the original recipe.

Dear Claire, I don't know if you'll ever see this but I'm a foodscientist from the Netherlands and I can tell you from experience that Michelin chefs and Dutch popping candy manufacturers also use citric acid and baking soda. You did a great job as you don't need the heavy machinery. Also if you start tasting baking soda in the finished product add 1 or 2 drops of peppermint extract as that will mask the flavor the best.

@@johncoleman1930 oh it's a pretty broad subject. I just got my bachelor's degree so I don't have a job yet, but most people would work in the foodindustry. (product development, quality control or assurance, processengineering). For example my internship was at a chips factory and my project was about lowering the amount of waste product produced and finding new ways to use said waste. Or for example my thesis was researching possibilities for a brewery to efficiently reuse yeast.

To all the commenters who are concerned for Claire’s mental health: I think that her being miserable is part of the joke and it makes it more relatable because she starts out eager (except for this vid but that’s also part of the joke), then struggles and seems really annoyed, but finally she succeeds and is really proud which really shows the creative process and how it isn’t easy to do something like this. It takes time and it takes failure, and normal people aren’t just unfazed by that failure; they get upset. But Claire keeps trying even after the failures which makes her an inspiration.

I prefer to watch this series when Claire is more cheerful and excited not dreading what she’s doing. Don’t pressure her into making foods she rlly doesn’t want to do because we love this series so much!!!!
