Thank you Pat. At age 65, I never thought it would see our great nation fall to such degenerate, immoral lows, or that our freedoms would be eroded as they have. I still have hope for the beloved America of my youth. Prayer and God is the only thing that can save her, for our children, & their children.

Promoting respect for God and country. Children playing safely on sidewalks and attending neighborhood schools. Elders being treated with kindness. Parents not wanting to be best friends with their kids and their friends. Laws and law enforcement working with tools needed to keep neighborhoods and shops safe. Freedom and justice fall. Great tune with hints of patriotic melodies.

Beautiful song and still a beautiful voice! ❤ I had wanted to share this with Pat for a long time…in Fall 1973 I was at Disneyland and Pat was there singing. My friend and I were in the cars that went over the park and I shouted down to Pat, “I love you Pat!” He looked up and said, “THANK YOU!” Years later I was at EPCOT at a concert where a Monkee was singing. I said, “I love you ____!” His reply, “Do I know you??????” Come on-I was just trying to be nice and pay him a compliment. Fortunately I curbed my distaste and did not reply, “Why yes! The Holiday Inn in 1966.” Tee hee. Blessings to Mr. Pat to keep on keeping on. Thank you for being kind to me with my outburst. ✅😉
Where did it go? Hmm...let me think. THREE MAIN THINGS COME TO MIND: 1. People stopped church (no standard of right/wrong...only that of society, which is ever changing). 2. Entertainment (hooked on artists and tv actors and glorifying them) 3. Public schools (children literally raised by someone other than parents for the greater part of their waking hours). Boom. That's it.
I joined Pat’s fan club when I was 13 , he was already married with 4 little girls, the fan club magazines were full of their photos. I am not American but I love this song. I pray for America and my own country also going through hard times.
