The thing is that there are are just enough solid or better guys available for all 32 teams. So you get solid older guys( Bulaga for example) or fringe starting caliber younger guys (Erick Flower I think). Both got 10 million per season contracts last Offseason.

Dak’s was very unfortunate but unpredictable. What the Bengals did to Joe Burrow having him behind that horrible OL is borderline criminal negligence.

Because there are not enough solid O linemen out there. So you can reach in the draft for a guy. Or pay an solid older guys a lot of money. Or pay an younger guy with strechtes of solid play a lot of money.

Free agent o linemen are free agents for a reason you basically have to trade draft picks with another team to get their good o linemen because no team is going let a good o linemen walked for nothing the draft is the best placed to get linemen.
