What do you think about this TERRIBLE QB Rankings? This is a clip from The Pat McAfee Show live from Noon-3PM EST Mon-Fri. SUBSCRIBE: / @thepatmcafeeshow MERCH: store.patmcafeeshow.com
yeah i was going to say that, they have to go in some kind of order, they can't all be too low. but what they said is very true most ranking including college football are pretty clear at the top but after top 10 it's just a bunch of minutiae.
Pat doesn't want to get on the badside of any of these guys. He needs all of them for interviews. This exercise of reacting to the QB list was pointless. Every single reaction was "He seems a bit low!".
Big White Duck agreed. He was set up to fail. Wasn’t it a second round pick? Now they cut the kicker they drafted in the fifth round last yr. not too many complaints outside of that though.
Tim Westwood I mean a season where the 2 other QB’s were both injured isn’t hard to compare them in. If you genuinely think Matt has more skill than Ben or Cam then send me your phone number or something so I can make sports bets w you I’d love to get a lil extra money
I really can't knock his ranking. He is coming off of a surgery where even one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL's history in Peyton Manning struggled after having it. If one of the all-time greats struggled to come back after that injury then yes Roethlisberger needs to be knocked down a few pegs. I'm not saying he's not a good quarterback but I'm just saying he's a good quarterback coming off of serious injury. It will seriously affect his biggest ability which is throwing off platform and using the elbow that was just surgically repaired. For that he has to come back and prove that he can overcome such a serious injury. 10 to 15 is about where he deserved to be
@Tommie Biscuits its close but Manziel was drafted near the end of the first (I think it was 24th overall) and failed with a terrible team around him in Cleveland. Not to mention there were not 2 top 5 qbs drafted after him. Mitch went 2nd overall, has a good team around him, and the team moved up to draft him over Watson and Mahomes... If Mitch is done in Chicago after his rookie contract he will be a much bigger bust than Manziel.
Crazy that Brady at 43 was anywhere from 3rd to 5th best this past season. Mahomes and Rodgers are definitely 1 and 2, then 3-5 can be Brady, Josh Allen, and Russ in any order. From a strictly passing stand point Brady is either 2nd or 3rd, including rushing tho Josh Allen would be 3, Brady 4th, and Russ or Kyler at 5. Insane how Russ went from 33-8 TD-INT after 9 games, and ended up only 40 TDs to 13 INTs
Gmoneymelo Gaming The man couldn’t make a read and thought a completion to someone on the opposing side was as good as a completion to his own players last year? How did the Colts get a solid QB? He’s washed up.
@@ferratorr1033 He also had one of the worst Offensive lines in the league and had no time to find and open receiver. When your throwing the ball before the receiver can get open, that usually leads to a lot of INTs. He's got arguably the best O line in the game right now. He will put up better numbers with Indy.
Thats not what I took from this. The fact that Matt Ryan, and Carson Wentz are even in the top 25 is just ridiculous. Hell, Baker not being 32nd is insane.
Why though? Green bay has lost so many games recently because of Rodgers getting injured and having terrible back ups. Maybe they shouldn't have used a first round but it makes sense to grab a qb
Strangest part of this list for me is the rookie Joe Burrow above guys that are proven and have stuck around in the league for a few years. The hype around him is ridiculous, but we have no idea if he's gonna translate to the NFL.
Exactly. Someone with zero pro snaps ranked ahead of player with multiple pro WINS (and on an equally bad team). Bad, clickbait-like list. No credibility. Smh
Ban Uni But he hasn’t shown us he can deliver on his potential. He’s playing for a terrible team. I wouldn’t be surprising if Tyrod has a better season than Burrow. Fitz would be a longshot because Tua is gonna end up the starter.
@@robbstreet9722 Burrow got to pass to wide open, 1st round talent receivers who faced off against non-NFL DBs on a great team and it still took an injury for the true #1 for Burrow to get rated the highest this year
Matt Cooke Burrow was playing way better than tua before Tua got hurt. Tua didn’t get hurt until the 10th game of the season and at that time Burrow was blowing him out of the water in almost every stat.
Over the last 2 years he is last in pass yards per game pass tds per game completion percentage and passer rating among qbs with 25 or more starts, I agree it’s egregious, he should be Lower
@@mikeconron1937 he missed a few deep balls, yes. He's shown that he has a great arm though, and if he dials in a little more he'll be a real threat. Also he makes plays with his legs running by, through and over defenders. His only issue is fumbles.
Kevin Farner I totally agree, but he has done nothing to show that yet, of qbs that have started at least 20 games in the last two years, he is DEAD LAST in both passer rating and completion percentage, idc if ur Barry Sanders, you can’t be a good qb with those stats, I really like him but he has to improve his accuracy, he has all the tools, just has to fine tune them.
I feel like now more than ever it’s really hard to rank these QB’s. Right now it seems like most teams have “their guy”. Most of these QB’s aren’t bad quarterbacks
Except the bears and the Dolphins. Mitch nor foles is “their guy” long term and Fitz obviously isn’t a long term solution. But yeah the rest of the NFL seems set.
He’s trash and I swear he took a dive the game baker replaced him. Go watch that game. He gets “hurt” after taking a big fat turd on the field. Then baker comes in and takes his place. He’ll do the same for Justin Herbert
P m W crazy how he doesn’t get a chance. He broke all of Vick’s records at Virginia Tech. He can make all the throws, can move. They should have an offense for him similar to Kaep and Lamar Jackson
It’s all about context. Does it matter if who can throw the ball the furthest and most accurately if the guys they’re throwing to barely get open and when they do they drop it, and the line is just daring the D to bury the guy? Lots of new combinations this year and lots of questions.
It’s divisional week now. Looking back at this list, the absolute worse two slots are Lamar Jackson and Jimmy G. Jackson is barely even a QB now and Jimmy G was just awful when he did play. Fitzpatrick was definitely disrespected in this list being ranked lower than the likes of Gardner Minshew, Trubiski, and Haskins.
bob jones how are you gonna look at Russell Wilson playing football and say he isn’t one of the top 2 qbs. He’s had 11 incompletions, and 9 touchdowns, in 2 games.
Kristopher Thompson if you look at his stats he wasn’t ass and he didn’t have a offense. Yeah the team was good but the offense wasn’t. His best target was elderman with no one in close second.
I'm a Lions fan so obviously I'm going to be bias when I say this but Matthew Stafford has to be the most underrated QB, he has super bowl potential his only problem is he plays on the Lions
