Being born in the year 2000, I have never known a NFL without Brady. It feels like apart of football is dying, not just a great player but someone even more then that. I truly can't describe how I feel Brady has affected the sport, but I'm grateful to see him go so he can finally stop tormenting the league. On the other hand saying goodbye to his career, it's like saying goodbye to that buddy in high school you know you probably won't see ever again.

I HATED Tom when he started, but during the 2012 game vs San Fran when they came back from 31-3 down with 4 straight touchdown drives, I was just like "damn, THAT is impressive, THAT is how you play quarterback." And who could forget the EPIC 2018 AFC Championship game vs the Chiefs. While I hated how he ALWAYS beat us, and I always loved seeing him lose, I'm FOREVER GRATEFUL to have seen his entire career. Best of luck Tom, we all love you, even if we hate you.

I don't think younger people realize how good Tom was in his prime. They always won. For 20 years the patriots always won.

It’s not only the fact that he won 7 SB but it’s also how he won them. They were masterful. Comebacks. Clutch plays. The story behind the SB is what make his championships special. I went from hating him growing up to respecting him and eventually loving his tenacity and leadership.

My favorite part of Tom Brady is still how underrated he was and how every team (including the Patriots) passed on him and didn’t think he would ever bring much to the table. The answer to this is quite simply no. And the reason being is that Tom Brady is in the stratosphere all by himself. I've never seen a player like him I've never seen a quarterback do so much with so little. Between his work ethic and his desire to be better every single game and every single offseason I cannot foresee another player coming anywhere near to Tom Brady's level.

I live 60 miles north of Dallas and was an old time Cowboy fan for years - but for some reason there is something about Brady and the Patriots that caught my attention from the very beginning. Mostly it impressed me that they always played like a TEAM. I was a diehard Patriot fan for 20 years. I started to turn off Super Bowl 51 in the third quarter - sad and upset because my team was losing - just before I hit the off switch I remember telling my wife, if anybody can win this game it would be Tom Brady and the Patriots - and so I watched the whole thing - it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Most defenses try and key on tendencies of their opposing offense and it's focal point (the QB), and hope to force them into making a mistake. Against Tom, the defense had to make sure they didn't make even the tiniest mistake, because he will see it, key on it, and exploit it with alacrity. As the stakes rose, he gets better at it too. There's a handful of guys you need to play damn near perfect against if you want to slow them down, and Tom kept that up for the longest of anyone in this sport's history.

It’s possible we will see another 20-year career with a bunch of SB rings, but that QB will have insane physical gifts. He won’t be willing himself to compete at a level that’s frankly way above his natural skillset, year and year, making people believe he’s always about to fall off because it’s simply impossible he keeps doing this. That was the extra magic of Tom Brady we will never see again.

Coming out of the 7th round in the draft, probably never, Brock Purdy being Mr irrelevant maybe a great qb but factor in all the records superbowls and mvps. But the draft is what makes it special. Unless an undrafted qb comes out swinging..

I still think San Fran could entice him. He went through a lot this year. Let him relax get his emotions and mind right. If they made a huge commitment and used his home town and Montana love. It might be possible. They also need to upgrade the o-line. I do not think anyone would knock him for that. I really want him to go out on a better season. Vegas was never going to happen.

As far as records go, records are meant to be broken and mahomes has a pretty good chance to coming close or even beating them as long as he can stay healthy especially with an added season game , in football you are one hit away from everything changing. As far as who Tom is he's a one of a kind man. Team friendly contracts to allow a franchise to put the pieces together to win. He took players that people never really heard of to the big dance and win and made them a household name. His longevity in this sport and to have I believe just the 1 injury where he missed multiple games in that entire span of his career that is amazing in itself and one has to be blessed. Like I said above one hit can change everything.
