@@ab3040 Its not good, its just Bill bitching about how the Colt's cried to the NFL about Deflategate, and saying how the Pats never would have done that, except the Pats had cried to the NFL almost a decade earlier after losing the 2006 AFCCG to the Colt's. My favorite team is the Colts and favorite band is Pink Floyd and when I found out David Gilmour was selling all of his guitars along with the famous Black Strat, I was so amazed to find out Jim Irsay was the one who bought it and he set the record, I believe still stands today, for the most expensive guitar ever sold in history.

Jim's "Music Curator" was named Chris McKinney. He no longer works for Jim as of like 5 years ago I think. Great dude and a wealth of knowledge of music equipment and some killer Jim stories.
When you talk about Irsay, I just remember Gorms talking about Jim not knowing how to get gas in his Bentley and just leaving a hundo for 20 dollars of gas. Legendary
Trust me as a drummer that drum kit grows double every year in value. I know professional drummers that make millions that would almost give their career for something like that. Keep in mind The Beatles are the highest grossing band in merchandise and sales ever!!

Hey Pat, it’s great watching and listening to your podcast. Especially since I can relate to a lot of your personal stuff like the Colts, Irsay, Andrew Luck, Geist and Village of West Clay, Eagle Creek area ect...I own a very reputable small business ( 50+ years longevity) and I’ve been contracted to do most of Mr Irsay’s “fancy” concrete at his estate for most of the last 20 years. Even did his helicopter pad ( which was rad as hell lol!!! Also did alot of concrete at 2 of the daughters’ homes just around the corner from him. Did a fair amount of work at the Colts Complex and lots of Andrews’ new house. I’ve been very fortunate. Me Irsay was nothing less than a down to earth gentleman when I met him. Anyway, it’s just cool that you sometimes tell stories of house shopping and parties and stuff and I know where it is you’re talking about. Even Bob’s ( Bob & Tom) is familiar to me!!! So cool buddy. It’s nice to see how you’ve grown the many different things you’ve done over the years. I remember when you were drafted and started playing. You made an immediate impact dude. Rest assured, you were as popular and respected as any player on the roster for you entire career! We always new you’d punch it they the uprights... damn near a given every time. It would be cool as hell to bump into you some day when in your area. Mad respect for all you did as a player and the cool stuff you continue to do today brother.
MEN: you need to get Irsay to do the docuseries idea. The boys could film, get a good director, pay them $100,000 up front (take care of them on the back end, obviously) and make this thing happen! He would be more likely to let Pat do the interviewing because they are comfortable with one another.
I once met a girl in a club and took her back to her place, when I got there it was the biggest nicest house I've ever seen, she had a Paul McCartney bass and a Hendrix guitar in special glass cases, getting drunk the door goes, it was James Eastwood popping round for a drink, the son of Clint Eastwood who looks just like his dad but ginger, weird night. I woke up in the morning and the house was so big I found it hard to find my way out, I was on the sixth floor in a bedroom. Bizarre.

great story : here is mine- my dad had job with office in downtown Oakland. As D2 WR in college at the time, (73-77) invited to meet for lunch. I go and as a Raider fan i thinking , hey maybe see some players ? So I arrive and take the elevator up to the office. Going down, with my dad he comments at the lobby " people don't speak on the elevator because never know who is on it , varies law suits ongoing..... I turn around and there is Al Davis, dressed nice in a suit with what appeared to be some body guards also dressed suit and tie. I did not approach or say anything. A year later (as it turned out ) two my teammates were drafted by Raiders. One stuck (WR) and got a SB ring, the other (kicker) became a Charger and was All-Pro. I did get a letter from the Raiders and my coach told they were going to sign ONE free agent WR.....wasn't me at 4.65 40, they took a speedster that hadn't played since HS (he got cut ). Back then $50,000 was good contract, I was earning that in couple years after college. No brain damage, married a USC songleader, we created our own team (company ) Pro football is not for everyone (my QB played 10 years and backed up Montana )
Hearing millionaires wishing they made billions is kind of a kick in the balls... they make more money in 1 year or actually just 16 games than most people will make in their entire career... they argue that they work all week to prepare but also a normal person works all week to! And usually for more hours too! Really wish I had 1/4 of the money these two guys have earned because I’ll spend the next 40 years trying to even come close!!!!! 😔
Ursay sounds like a cool guy but when it came to franchise success and draft picks. That's another story, he seemed more focused on his hobbies rather than the team
Hopefully his daughters will run the Colts like Jim did and not Robert Irsay. For the most part Irsay had a lot success his only hick up was the exedus in 2011.
Honestly I feel kinda of bad for irsay he probably didn’t want to fire griegson because he was probably afraid he would mess up again at gm (luckily he didn’t) and he probably didn’t want to fire pagona because of his leukemia. Overall I think he’s a really good owner
