Este concierto en vivo lo encontré pirateado en Lima hace quizas 13 o 14 años, año 2004 aprox en un puesto de música que vendia pura basura :D pero un día el tipo trajo una caja de cds pirateados que decia "Jazz", me llamo la atención la cara de Metheny haciendo un solo, lo compre y nunca me arrepentí!!!! tenia yo unos 17 años.
Y también Lyle Mays, Yo siempre iba a buscar al jirón Quilcas que no está lejos de donde Tú encontraste esta joya. Ahí también se conseguía muy buen material.

Con las disculpas de todos pero para mi este es el mejor grupo de jazz en toda la historia...I love jazz....Jaco Pastorius, Chick Corea, The Rippingtons, Jean Luc Ponty, Andreas wollenweider, Hiroshima, Lee Retenour, Jack DeJohnette, Joe Sample...pero como Pat Metheny Gruop ninguno, cada cancion es una oda...
La melodía principal es muy pegajosa, siempre regreso a este tema. Pero una de las cosas que mas me gustan son los cambios armónicos de Lyle Mays, RIP.

As always PMG was incredible. Does anyone know where is that vocalist now? I watched a video of him performing Dream of the Return a few years ago but I couldn't find anything about his solo work, and this may has nothing to do but I found out from a Chilean friend that this young man and Pat were dating back in the 80s... and all I can say is... What a talented couple. Thanks for keeping this video on Internet. It is simply magnificent.
Dating? All I can say is that the vocalist/ multinstrumentalist name is Pedro Aznar and he is one of the most beloved and most talented musicians in Argentine of all time. Surprinsingly his primary instrument is the bass guitar, and his primary genre is Rock music. He has a career singing in spanish. Pat once said in an interview that he's never met an artist with that amount of talents.
@@enriquemora9272 En Chile también queremos mucho a Pedro. Ha venido un monton de veces a dar conciertos acá y siempre es a taquilla llena. Es un top de la música latina y lo encuentro muy sencillo. Otra participación notable de Pedro fue la que tuvo en el icónico álbum Clics Modernos de Charlie Garcia, otro genio.
+phos808 Lyle has a MIDIed piano. He pressed a pedal with his foot and his piano triggers an organ sound. You can hear the piano playing the same notes as the organ. On Better Days Ahead you can hear his piano triggering his Prophet flute sound.
