Pat seems rational and level headed here. Seems hard to believe this is the guy that allegedly charged a cop with knife. Something must have taken a serious turn for the worse. After running at a cop with a knife Pat is lucky to be alive.
These guys were the pioneers of metal. Pat is just straight up brutal. Chuck was the first to give the 'Death Metal' the existence it needed. Rip Chuck we will play on for you!!
Pat, you are an awesome player. Can't believe I haven't seen your tribute before. I lived in Altamonte Springs, Florida for about 15 years. A fellow employee at a furniture store knew I played guitar and told me you should hear his neighbor play. When he told me who it was I couldn't believe it. One day we went to his apartment behind the Altamonte Mall and Chuck was walking down the sidewalk. You described him perfectly. Cool, calm, and quiet. We shook hands. About a month later he was at a book store at the mall and I said hello. Also while living there I met Ken Andrews through motorcycling. He was Pain Principle at the time, now he's in Obituary. Another cool guy. Metal has the nicest people. Hope you get to read this. R.I.P. Chuck and thanks for all the great music.
Years and years and years of practice kids. I live in the city right next to Hebron KY where Pat is from. Not from here originally, but would have loved to know him back in the day. I am 51 yrs young and still love heavy music \m/ 😎

I think about this dude all the time since a few years ago. Such a good player, I would kill to take lessons or just talk to him. These last couple years have been rough, for a lot of us, I really fucking hope he comes back and plays guitar professionally. Fuck what anyone says about what he did... his guitar playing will always overshadow that. At least in my eyes. We all fuck up... if your sitting there says "it was the meth" your a fucking poser
This is someone on the influence for sure. I know because I'm exactly like this when I was on the dexys and a few other methods related products couldn't stop fidgeting even tho my exterior looked calm I was still so ramped
This would have been Pat. He lived in the Erlanger/Elsmere area of Northern Ky (born and raised) before moving to Florida. He took lessons from David T Chastain in Cincinnati during the early to mid 80s.
Hard to believe he's in jail. I remember in my 10th grade year I wanted to see cannibal corpse and it's my 12th grade year and cannibal corpse is going to play very soon and when I heard about pat going to jail I was sad honestly I wanted to see the cannibal corpse I knew all together but now they got some other guy to cover his part for the tour. although from what I hear rumors wise is that pat of brien could be a dick and people say (people who have met pat) that they are not suprised that he did this. I never met any cannibal corpse members myself but I just hope he's alright.
Dsmian Blanchard he does shred, he just doesnt shred melodically with CC. More so atonal shredding which is brutal when done correctly, fits their music. Like Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King solos fit their music. If they played like John Petrucci, it would take away from the song imo. If you want to hear Patt shred like he is here, listen to Nevermore's stuff before he joined CC
I know it's a good thing but seriously sometimes we only want to listen the silence, just like "guys, we finished our practice 30 minutes ago, please". The story of my life.

i just got finished watching the jonas brothers play guitar and watching this makes my ears stop punching me in the face for ever thinking to watch that shyt!! RIP Chuck, an inspiration to all
