I remember being 15 and getting into battle rap because of Soul Khan DNA vs Rone and Zim. Rone was the Goat from the beginning. Cut to 4 years later im a alcoholic who shouldve lost his life after crashing into 2 lightposts on a freeway at 7am. I had 2 options get sober and have a future or give up. During 3-4 weeks of going through withdrawls, having convulsions due to my addiction, contemplating ending it because I was surrounded by darkness. During those weeks i found barstool and it took my mind off the pain and depression. Rone Caleb and El Prez videos specifically. So thanks to barstool and thanks Rone. Something so simple as making me take my mind of things in part saved me.
What 's crazy about Rone is the respect he gets from other battle rappers. He occasionally has some clever gun bars, but most of his raps were all comedy bars. He didn't pretend to be someone he wasn't. To rap that way consistently and still have the top battle rappers give their respect to him is impressive.
Rone is one of the goats , my favorite from Grindtime . And Carried the torch when GT ended and went to KOTD and became champion . Bro is highly regarded
@@TheWheelsMaster I just got done watching Fresco vs QP back and had it at the top of my head 😂😂😂 IMO Rone coulda shown him his battle vs big T. He went harder in that battle than this one.
