Pat did have a late night talk show in 1989-90 on CBS, which lasted fifteen months against JOhnny Carson and the then-newcomer Arsenio Hall.

@@richardchristensen1768 to be fair, he was what made America comfortable then. They were perfect for Wheel of fortune. He just did not have the personality to deal with the fresh and new celebrity.

Is it my imagination, or does Pat Sajak almost looks like the older original Star Wars trilogy Luke Skywalker? I'm not talking about what he looks like in The Force Awakens.

+aceattorney1989 It's not your imagination. I'm not used to seeing Pat Sajack in casual clothes as he's often seen in a suit. Mark Hamill(Luke Skywalker) is also a comedian, himself. Action movies aren't his only specialty.

Used to watch Pat as the funny weatherman on KTLA with anchors Kelly Lange and Tom Snyder. Pat's career was similar to when Ted Baxter tried to be a quizmaster on MTM.

Coincidentally, as a kid in the 1980s, I watched more ABC and NBC in that whole decade than I did with CBS. The only shows I watched on CBS were The Dukes of Hazzard, the network's entire game show lineup, their Saturday morning cartoon lineup, and all the Charlie Brown specials (I'm a lifelong Peanuts fan) and holiday specials that they ran in that decade. Oh, I also watched Captain Kangaroo as well since that was a CBS show, too.
