Been a fan P.T. Since the 70’s. Saw him on the crash and burn tour 1980. Longtime fan here. Huge respect for this man. Good to see Pat still out doing what he loves! 🎶
I set up the PA and was mixing this show. This was the second time I got to mix Pat’s band the first time was 15 years ago even further upstate in the Adirondack Mts. He was great then and still has it here. Getting old ain’t for sissies! He is a great guy to work for and a genuinely humble human being.
@@SalsBodybuildingArchives OMG, the contractor who supplied the backline never brought a carpet for the drum kit. We were going to put that against the kick drum so it wouldn’t slide forward on the stage, but ended up not using it and Pat said “leave it there. It looks cool, and people will wonder what it’s for”. 😂
Seen Pat at a tiny venue in the boonies upstate NY 10 years ago, different backing band, there were only 25-30 people there, the opening acts never showed up, mosquitos where horrible. They came out and jammed like they were in a Arena full of fans. Much respect for MR Travers!!!

I have a photo of PT playing on a flat bed trailer in Dallas in the parking lot of a music store I think it was back in the late 80s. True musician right there.
I had a friend who was a sales rep at CBS in the 70’s. He used to give me extra copies of new releases (albums)... One batch had a copy with no label in a plain white wrapper. Years later, my curiosity got the best of me and when I played it, it was a promotional copy of this very song. I still have it. ❤❤❤
Im surprised this song isnt banned yet. I loved it as a kid, and still do. His live guitar tone is great. Im glad hes still with us, doing what he was born to do!
My first real rock concert at the Swing Auditorium San Bernardino CA, Johnny Van Zant band / Pat Travers / BOC 1981! Great to see that he is still rock'n it!
,,,...here,,,from land o' lakes,wi,.....saw him live = 1982 , Denver,CO..with Areosmith ,,..great nite of music,,.he threw his red doublecut Gibson 15 ' up,,caught it,,,..played flawless,..Areosmith had too much fun,...,,,,,epic.❤
Seen this guy back in the day where he comes from, Ottawa Canada in the70"s at the Cow Palace & playing across the river with a band called Red Hot at the Chaud in Aylmer QC ...great player!
it aint no fashion show , it aint the radio , its live rock n roll, from the heart and with soul,, who cares whos there, no one needs to see faces in a crowd, as long as as the music is good and its loud ,, cuz its the music that matters , and when its rock n roll,, thats all that matters, its the musc that matters,, always has always will, when its live and outside its still a thrill !!!!!! just wrote that (c)2024 f.giancaspro thanks for the inspiration from the guy whosaid make him dress better ,,
Love Pat, amazing career. This was one of my favorite live songs ever. But if i'm ever this old on stage i hope i wear sleeves LOL. Then again he's earned the right to say F it.
My 1st rock concert was Pat opening for Foghat in 77. Each time at the "out go the lights" part the arena blinked the lights off for a second. Pats wingman was Pat Thrall who wrote a famous guitar instructional book with a record to play along with that changed my life, altho 40+ years later I am STILL trying to catch up..
I think Pat Travers may be partially responsible for my permanent tinnitus. I was standing against the stage in front of the speakers when he opened for Aerosmith in 1983! 😂
Song written by Stan Lewis and first recorded by harmonica player Little Walter in 1957. Several covers had been recorded before Pat Travers did his in 1976. Pat didn't write this song and isn't the first to record it. Give credit where credit is due.
I lost all respect for Pat when he was quoted in a now defunct guitar magazine many years ago saying that Duane Allman was overrated. I'm close to Troy NY and when I heard he was playing there I looked up ticket prices. Yeah, umm...no way.
Saw Pat and his band last year in a small bar/club and the only regret I have is that I didn’t sit closer to his side of the stage. I was upfront but right over by the bass player amp and got pummeled by bass frequencies. Mind you, his bass player is an absolutely phenomenal bass player, so it wasn’t really all that bad. I just wish I could’ve heard Pat a little more. He put on a great show! Not my video, but this is the show I was at: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xklXhsvDKGg.htmlsi=57IxF-ST0eqZDHk5
Just going through the motions. Even the bass player looks like he can't wait to get off the stage. Looks like a lame gig. It's too bad you can't just retire at this point, but money dictates everything
Bad audio, rough looking dude. Wonder what the audience looked like, wish there would have been a few shots of them and what kind of a gig this was. Used to love this guy. Had a hard time looking at him on this offering. Mr. Traverse needs a manager and a publicist and someone to tell him how to dress like a rock and roller instead of a audience member at a Kid Rock concert. Bummer, I really wanted to like this video...
@@nextplanb1899 Yeah, maybe you're right, because I always look for guidance from gerkoffs like you in the peanut gallery! Nice RU-vid channel you have there. Clearly the only reason you have a "channel" is so you can troll other people's comments. Good work!
Dude is in his 70's and its shot on a cell phone. You expect audiophile quality?? Cut him some slack Jack, I'm sure he doesn't need the money just loves to play.
Regardless of age (70), I can tell that Pat sleeps too much and isn't very physically active. That's a shame. I'm 63 and have people tell me that I look like I'm in my 40's. It's all about taking care of yourself properly.
