Patch Review & FFA Games | Age of Empires 4 FFA Multiplayer Stream! 

Since you said "maybe we'll get a play-by-play later" from the first game, Turin, I can give you the short version. I tried to save you there at the end for the sake of memes/you having to crawl back from 0 vils, but failed. For trying to stop them, OotD hit me real hard, and then Allied and OotD Yellow started back into their forever feud. Meanwhile Blue, who you and I were SUPPOSED TO BE KILLING before your Just A Prank Wonder, decided I needed to go. We spent over an hour grinding in the river crossing leading into my base, too. So you missed over 1 hour more of pure misery after you died for both 1v1s. It would have been atrocious to cast. You did correctly guess that Yellow OotD was next to go (an hour later, but still), then Ottomans, then it was just Allied and Nani and Allied had enough to Wonder.

Patch notes felt pretty good with exception for the Byzantines and a lack of Joan, but other than that im excited. ESPECIALLY the bazaar wing removing villagers, when it hit in fuedal it was VERY oppressive, i saw one tourney Grand finals where they got an enormous villager lead in fuedal from it, it was like 27 - 19 villagers with no raiding, just disgusting.

Only through the first game...and the true winners of our hearts were Blue and Yellow! That was awesome stuff. Loved the banter while still playing well. Loved it.

I think you can actually be less attentive to the floating gate now if you want because you can shift queue it to automatically send the yorishoro to the buildings you want them in.

That 2 player game was awesome! What a defense!

You can connect aqueducts to store walls. Then that Stone wall will act as an aqueduct.

Finally, they fixed Japan. Now I can play and enjoy this civ also.

Turin wonders why he can't push when he has 110 eco. Not enough military.

I know Black forest is a haggard grind but that was one of the most entertaining FFAs I've ever seen. Maybe dome day we can get a true free for all on the map.

I haven't finished watching the 2nd game but after you said you will build the Wonder, you really started stuffing everything up! The panic over killing green's wonder was awful. There was HEAPS of time. You told mcskinfry to destroy it (which he was) and then you completely flipped the plans and told him to defend when he was already at the top destroying the wonder while you setup a ridiculous panic amount of siege. You could have told him nice and quick to delay killing it as soon as he got through the trees... Then afterwards, you kept chopping wood near where green's wonder was, creating access point for the, to attack. Then you panic over the sacred site's... Then panic over BOTH sacred's. You could have gone through the bottom. That was soo hard to watch XD I absolutely love your AOE videos though :)

Turn One idea to out smart the ffa first game crash, what if you make and start a dummy game with only yourself prior to the stream, and quit it immediately. Did you say the AOE4 bug is that sometimes the first game someone tries to host is when it crashes?

Order of the dragon not a single real buff, I have a feeling that they will just be accepted as the garbage faction.

Played mainly Japan since DLC and overall I don’t mind the nerfs, they addressed everything that was a bit over tuned. But I have two big issues. 1. They didn’t buff any of the other landmarks so there is still no competition. Kura, FG and Gunsmith are still much superior to their counterparts imo. It would be awesome if the koka could garrison shinobi and act like a tower to give defence for example, or the Buddhist landmark starts with an instant monk as well. 2. Shinto priest should be able to move yorishiro between buildings. This means you wouldn’t have to delete buildings to get a new one and you can use them more strategically. The FG landmark will just evolve into building 4 forges at the back of your base and putting the yorishiro into them.
