I cannot believe I have read people asking about how to bypass plugins inside patcher from 2015, and still we don't have a simple button to do that. This is a lot of work for such a simple task. Nevertheless, thanks a lot for the pro procedure :)
Yeah I looked everywhere thinking I was just missing something, kinda ridiculous that this isn't a plugin already. Same with how we have to build our own mid-side EQs.
I literally was facing the problem of that volume dip with any mix knob I made. I've been trying to do everything with Formula Controllers >_< Thank you so much for this info. I came looking for a bypass button and you gave me more☀➕
Thanks for the hints. I was using the Envelope Controller to do similar to X Y Zed. FL really needs to add an assignable Surface control knob parameter for the I/O cables on the Map.
I stumbled across how to create bypass buttons when I found the Fruity Mute plugin. So that's how I typically do it. What I really learned from this video was that I could manipulate the X-Y-Z Controller like that.
Thanks for the feedback! I probably would get more subs if I was consistent with my video uploading lol but real life slows me down. But I will have more videos in the future!
You are such a LEGEND. I was exacly looking for this for making my first own patcher preset. And needed to bypass some plugins i wanna have the option to turn pff or on on the route. No other RU-vidr have shown me that trick to use. Great explanation and video, I subbed
Please more videos about Patcher, especially how to use Fruity Envelope Controller and VFX Envelope into it as well as its surface basic to professional. how to make our custom VST plugin with pretty Surface
THANKS A LOT FOR THIS INFORMATION , AND I AM WONDER HOW DO YOU POP UP TWO OR MORE PLUGINS AT SAME TIME . I NEED TO MAKE BUTTONS WITH MUTE GROUP OPTIONS , I MEAN IF A CLICK "ON" ONE BUTTON OTHER BUTTON SHOULD "OFF" AUTOMATICALLY , IS IT POSSIBLE IN PATCHER?
Hello from Malaysia 😊 I just want to ask if you might wanna do tutorial about how to on/off disk recording button (red button when recording turn on on the mix channel) on patcher? Is it possible?
Hi. I dont know if somebody have already suggest this Idea but instead of the fruits balance, have you try to use fruity mute? It would eliminate the problème With The fruity balance at the wrong point. Thanks for the tuto bye
Yeah it's a good suggestion! Personally I've always used Balance and I'm the habit of reaching for it; it doesn't bother me to make all my numbers go up to 80% for max volume, but there are definitely many options in FL Studio that you could use!
Can you do a tutorial of patcher on how tohave the abbility to bypass 2 effects routes and both can be bypassed individually? I struggle with finding how to do it right
Hi man! The short answer is, you can do that using this method in this video. You'll just have to follow the steps through for each plugin you want a bypass button on. And after each plugin, you route your audio from the bypass Fruity Balance and audio from your wet plugin into the 2 Fruity Balances for the next plugin. Repeat for as many plugins as you have.
Great question! Yes you can do it, but you'll need this setup with XYZ Controller and 2 Fruity Balances for each plugin. I do this in my tutorial called "Patcher tutorial - Start-to-finish plugin design" so check that out if you're still interested.
so would this work fine if say, I was using multiple plug-ins in patcher to create a multi fx plug in? just duplicate this process with the next effect?
Yes you can absolutely repeat this process for each individual module in your FX chain. In fact you can see an example of that in another video of mine. In the video on "Start to finish plugin design" I use this bypass trick on the whole plugin as well as on each individual effect.
Hi man, great question! You can extrapolate this method to work for individual effects too. For every effect that you want a bypass on, you'll need to follow the steps - set up two fruity balances and your XYZ control, set up the button for the bypass, etc. Route the audio from your bypass fruity balance and your wet plugin signal into two fruity balances for your NEXT effect you want to bypass, and so on. Don't forget to make a button for each effect bypass, and check that each button is connected to the right XYZ controller! It's a little time consuming but very worth it to have the control over each plugin in your Patcher creation.
