Congrats, I contacted many AD’s and salons, non accepted to put me on their list. I am not important enough for them. This is my grail watch, this watch ticks all the boxes for me. Wear it in good health. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video and congratulations on the 6007A, I collected mine recently as well. In 1997 to mark the inauguration of the new Patek Philippe manufacture Ref. 5500 Pagoda was also made in yellow gold (1100 pieces), rose gold (500 pieces) and platinum (150 pieces) in addition to the 250 white gold pieces. Ref. 4900 was also made in yellow gold (500 pieces) and white gold (100 pieces) in addition to the 150 rose gold pieces. They also made 30 examples of minute repeater Ref 5029 10 each in yellow gold, rose gold and platinum when they opened their new manufacture in 1997.
A great modern Patek Philippe. I could easily see myself wearing this watch daily for office time. Nobody would suspect this is a €30k wristgear. Stealth wealth.
Hi damian I can't believe you got your brand new petak philippe limited edition with in two weeks fair play to you mate i do really like that watch in your collection I'm really happy for you. 👍
That look great! I like the look of this watch better than some of the super popular Patek Philippes. Thanks so much for these videos btw - I really look forward to a new Watch Guys video on Sunday evenings! So please keep going - the views will build, and the audience will come! Your videos are better than many channels that get a lot more views - it's just a matter of time before people discover the channel, IMO.
Hard to say no if offered, I did ask, but sure all were allocated before announced. I did get a 5212a this weekend, I expressed my interest when announced at Basel 2019, still waiting for my 5168g to be fulfilled, patience in a virtue with Patek. You absolutely are recognized if you ware the watches and not just keep them unworn. Just like cars, you live once, use them,
I echo many of your observations Damian. Fundamentally on the wrist it looks sublime, and to me that's the connection that cements the purchase. Congratulations to you... 👋👋👋
It's an interesting watch. Think I prefer the JLC Polaris Memovox which I think has influenced this watch and is a limited edition too. Agree re the engraving on the display back - same mistake as Grand Seiko sometimes make. Chalk and cheese with the Tudor which leaves me cold unfortunately
I was actually very excited for this release I think the watch is beautiful. Congratulations on securing one and you are right much rather a review on this Patek vs. new Tudor bb58
Just curious what “discreet” means as we’re watching you make a RU-vid video about the watch? Lol love you D! Keep up the great work on both channels! Seen almost every video twice!
Beautiful watch. Very legible. The only thing I'd change is the case back as I'd prefer an unobstructed view of the movement. I had a blue rolex air-king which I eventually got tired of because of the colored dial. I've come to prefer neutral dials with a touch of color added by either the hands or the printed elements.
Very nice watch except for the etching on the back and that perhaps the white date dial would look much better in the same blue as the dial with white numbers. Blue Tudor looks very nice by the way.
Congrats for being included in the Patek special circle, i'm not a fan of this particular reference, but if allows you to being part of the Patek's closest ones it worth every single penny, hope you can get others limited edition to add in your wonderful collection.
Another excellent review. You've got great taste in cars and watches. But this PP just doesn't make me lust after it. A Nautilus however is another matter. Keep them coming.
Its very nice, especially the raised numbers, which are then spoilt by the date window. Date font could have been different, background could of matched the dial colour or should of been deleted and had a nice number 3 instead. Oh, and it looks like a JLC, which is no bad thing as they are very nice too
I hope that’s a bit of dust around the bezel as it looks like there are some tiny scratches. Nice watch though and I agree about the case back etching. I thought it was a sticker that you were going to take it off.
While the dial has its critics, I don't think it's too bad. However, the white laser etched logo on the exhibition caseback is absolutely awful looking. Just because Grand Seiko does this badly on their 'limited' pieces, it doesn't mean PP should too.
Personally think this is the best Patek they've made in a long time. Patek is a vastly overrated brand. And it's about time they appeal to a slightly younger generation. The engraving on the back is poor, but really who cares. I look at the reverse of my watch the first time I buy it... then pretty much never again. So it's not a deal breaker. But I totally agree, both the choice of wording and the date they chose is bizarre. Even more so when 2020 just has a better phonetic pronunciation too... To me this is a combination of an Aquanaut and a Calatrava and I like that. I think has very little resemblance to a 5711 thankfully... Personally speaking the Nautilus is one of the most ugly watches in the world, but it carries the name Patek and thus sells and once you're done with Rolex you can only really go JLC - AP/VC/PP/ALS. This watch I actually like. I also agree with you that it's a shame they chose blue... since my AP15202 is roughly the same shade. Unfortunately, I think the VC Overseas is a better watch... The strap is a total joke. I would have to order a Camille Fournet strap pretty pronto. But otherwise, quite the success and provides some competition between the haute horologists.
Was thinking the other day, are you chums with my namesake? I imagine you move in the same car circles and he is hampshire based too. Think he would be a very interesting guest for car or watch channel!
Enjoyed that as usual. It’s nice to see Patek celebrating every time they get a new erection. And it’s nice to see you celebrating an erection with your wrist
Honestly, calling "limited" a model that had 1000 pieces of it made is so ridiculous. This ain't special, it's an uninspired cash grab. And people give Omega shit for its limited editions.
I think it depends on the brand/price point....1000 of an Omega Speed/Seamaster is definitely 'limited' given their usual output ....but 1000 £20,000+ Pateks is very much 'strictly limited to the number of people that ask for one' territory. I mean why not go the full 2019 piece route?
horrible looking watch, if you label it IWC people wouldnt look twice at it, just cause of a patek hype it draws peoples attention, patek needs to come back down to earth cause they are lagging in so many areas
@@TheWatchGuysTV Well you were literally showing us a VC Fiftysix that is far more complicated yet costs the same as the 6007A, which uses the same old caliber (324 S C).
