Great tutorial - After trying manually for about an hour and getting nowhere fast your tutorial helped me get the result I wanted in about 10 minutes!!!!
Great tutorial man! i have one question though, it's about animation with these techniques. You're currently using a static way of deformation, you set it up in a certain way and if you want it animated you use the animator to create a motion to a secondary pose. however i'm looking for a way to have my path deform real-time. kind of like the inversed kinematics work. do you have any suggestion or advise for me to do so?
+Richard Algra You can animate the properties of the pathdeform, like offsetting and others. you have to use "autokey" for animating the values as they are spinners. Anyway thanks for your support.
Hey there, thank you for the tutorial! A question: it constantly does not work when i've tried it, and I dont know whats wrong :( I've tried centering to pivot, reseting xform as well but the object still does not follow the line path, what may I have done wrong?
I have a question. Once the model is finished, when I want to move the Deformed Path, the model is altered and distorted. I tried to convert it to Edit Poly but it doesn't work ...
Hi , sorry about that. When using WSM you have to right click on the modifier and use "collapse to" .... OR ... You can just take a snapshot from tools menu.
