Tri is definitely the PoE 2 news guy to go to. Plus Johnathan Rogers has clearly said there will be a closed beta first before EA, so I don't know why people are pissed. He said it in a couple interviews now. I don't get people sometimes, we have an awesome league right now that should last until November/December. And personally, I'd rather GGG have a small select closed beta group of people hand selected to really break the system and actually report bugs.

Got an invitation with a 4070TI and none of my friends with way lower specs got it. I would guess it's more random than we think

I know a guy with i5-13600KF + RX 7900 XTX configuration so thats really strong computer who got an invitation for beta.

I have an AMD RX580 and havent received an invite (I filled in the survey). And its strange to me that only GPUs were a question in the survey, as CPUs are quite important to hardware limitations.

They should let people like me in for testing in closed beta. I don't play PoE competitively, I barely play games at all as I pretty much gave up on the gaming industry back in 2014, I'm not a content creator or an influencer of any kind, I don't do social media, I'm not begging to be in because of the money I've poured into their game... What I do though, is testing games. I decided back somewhere in 2004 to become an expert in alpha/beta tests, and now I have over 30 games under my belt, some as exclusive as requiring a CV of past tests before getting accepted.. I write comprehensive bug reports in forums and I have a script that lets me iterate on 1 collective report so the devs can see which bugs are new and which ones persist. I wanted to focus on becoming a tester because in my childhood I was playing games with friends and my brother but I was always the one with problems, falling through the ground, network drops, textures disappearing, etc. Bugs follow me around, "you're a bug-magnet" my brother said... And that's when I decided that I'll partake in as many alpha's/beta's as possible... But I ain't paying for access to do a job, neither am I requesting to get paid for doing a job. The benefits should be mutual. Get me in for free and I'll work for free!

I think your guesses are probably spot on- I haven't played PoE1 at all this year and have a GTX 1070 with a 12 year old CPU. I'll be happily melting my hard working old rig into a puddle running this beta all week though.

13900k/3090 FE. I'm not a particularly active member of the community and it's been a while since I went hard on a league, so I suspected my hardware was the primary reason for my invite. I'm sad I can't talk about it with my friends, but very excited to get a first look at the game and see what it can do. I hope my data is helpful.

Really wonder what were the selection criteria if somebody with that player track didn’t got in - played every league - 10000+ hours - over 3000$ support - 13years player - 2 BoTw - dozens of gamebreaking bug reported that were fixed within 24h - previous alpha tester When i got my servey email, it was bugged, even after the site DDOS thing passed. Email GGG, they replied to me a week later and told me that i shouldnt bother because they servey isnt considered in the beta invite selection... So... they lying?

I have rather outdated system 1080, i7, 16gb. Never played PoE, but a lot of D3/D4. That‘s what I answered in the survey. Im surprised that I got the invite. Im really looking forward to the game.

3070, 12700F, 32GB. Didn't get the invite, but that's fine. Although I wanted to check it out, I doubt that I could've spend a lot of time "testing" it, because these days I mostly play something when the mood strikes me, which is not that often anymore due to how exhausting work is. All in all, I suppose I'll check it out with the rest of you, when the time comes.

I have the same rig I build back in 2016 with an Intel i7, 16GB DDR4 and a Zotac GTX 1070. My PC was killing it back then but now Poe 1 got so many updates I struggle on low when doing Cassia missions or overall when the screen is full. I doubt my current rig will support the next game but currently I am enjoying PoE on Nvidia GforceNow. I am looking forward to doing the same with PoE 2. If not, I think PoE2 like PoE1 might make me upgrade my PC. I'm a fan from the first closed Beta and been playing since. I'm a bit disappointed I haven't been selected as I have close to 6000h on steam and a couple more hundreds before it came on steam. I bought numerous supporter packs summing them up to about $1200. For some this might not be much but as a Romanian where the medium salary is 600-700EUR it's pretty much. Anyways... I am looking forward to see what PoE2 brings whenever it comes out. I am very excited for the game and at the same time very positive they made a good game.

I'm not sure why there is so much entitlement in some cases. Most Closed Betas are testing hardware and of course bugs and gameplay experiences. We won't know the exact details on how Early Access works, but I can see most that has spent a good amount of money on POE will get in Early Access without a cost. I've only spend maybe $60 for stash tabs and the like but even if a support pack will cost $30-$40 for Early access, it will be well worth it compared to other games in the Genre *cough* D4 expansion *cough*.

I have the specifications of the computer Risen Thread ripper PRO 7995WX and GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4090 GAMING OC + 256 Gb RAM and I also did not receive an invitation. I think there is a complete randomness here and it does not depend on what computer characteristics you have.

2070 i7-9700k Did not get invited. I 100% agree that this is a Hardware test, but they will have access to the full Campaign. Otherwise why would there be an NDA. You need to verify the integrity of all the tile sets, and I feel that Each act would have areas with unique tile sets.

It just seems weird that they would release the early access around the exact same time that the next path of exile one league would start

My current rig has a ryzen 3900x 32 gigs of RAM m.2 SSD and a EVGA RTX 3080 ftw3 ultra on Windows 10 pro, I don't mind not getting selected for the closed beta because I'm really digging the current league and I'm nowhere done with it.

I net they test the whole campaign to balance endgame after the closed beta and test endgame in the second closed beta

I think a lot of og beta testers for the original that still play got picked. So it probably random between hardware and how old your account is. I wouldnt leak anything for a 6 figure check let alone free.... Cant wait until tom.

I cannot believe how much better the animations and gameplay looks in PoE2. It’s night and day to PoE, where the animations and gameplay are the weakest part of the game. Merging D4’s high fidelity gameplay with PoEs deep systems and gameplay would be my personal ideal. And that is what all the gameplay looks like high hopes.

For those who are really upset, I wouldn't be. The game is definitely unfinished, and these NDA betas are often plastered with player code watermarks so they can easily identify leaks. I was in the D4 closed beta, and not being able to see was awful.

Playing POE Settlers on my ROG Ally X. Didn't sign up for POE2 beta but hopefully when it hits, I will be able to play POE2 on Ally X.

I'm playing on a 8 years old laptop which runs on a Nvidia 965M graphic card (it has 4Go decidacted memory I think). And I lag in POE when doing things like a blighted map or a Simulacrum, unless I disable sounds in the config of the game. Plan is to upgrade my computer once I have a job. Too bad as right now, I have plenty of time to play so I could have played a lot this week :) Haven't been invited.

4090 did not get in. And anyone that is whining about not getting into this definitely hasn't been paying attention GGG has been upfront about this we all knew it was a random chance or at least pseudo random chance. We're all going to get to play soon enough stop being babies

Hey, I'm playing since 2012 with a little break lately. I have laptop with GTX 1060 and unfortunately didn't get invite. On one hand I want invite, but on the other I would like to not get spoiled on anything major.

idk, AMD X3D and 4090 here and I'm in 🤷‍♀ I was honestly surprised? It might be also that they're spreading out target audience some, as I haven't played PoE in forever, but am currently main-lining Mihoyo games like I'm paid for it (I'm not). So I just assumed that getting the invite kind of indicated they wanted to test the onboarding experience as well.

I don't think the hardware is the main focus. And I am guessing more acts are going t be available thorugh close mid-late mage. They want to know how average players will like / enjoy / see the game too.
