Dude, this is the first time I've seen the Executioner fight since June of this year. You taking him down on the Merc was AWESOME and he had WAY MORE REINFORCEMENTS than before. Looks like a super fun fight.
Too bad the boss has already been heavily nerfed compared to the first time we saw him, to a point where the fight seems trivial now unless you play melee, but even then it's just a matter of moving away from the boss to recover since he moves so slowly now.
I'm glad the pacing is slower. I'm tired of zoom zoom clear screen gameplay. Now d4 is getting like that which is annoying to me. I'm sure the player base will cry for the pacing and density to go nuts, but I hope it doesn't happen.
this is campaign. The power and speed will be the same as poe 1 but there will be less projectiles and stuff. There are videos talking about it. The player base likes poe 1 as is, do you really they would say fuck all to their actual players and release a game for snails ? it's action RPG not turned based

With the way they've programmed the combat and impact and weight of things it seems like it will just necessarily be slower, but i think that's fine. The last time I was this excited for a game was for Diablo 3, which I didn't get to play until a year after launch (long-story short, I moved for work and didn't bring a computer). But Path of Exile 2 has me wayyyyyyy more excited than I was for Diablo 3. I have lost faith in Blizzard and the direction they are going in, whereas Grinding Gear Games continues to blow me away with their dedication and transparency to both the company AND the consumers.
The absolute transparency of this release being a Closed Beta that costs money to enter and only has the first three story acts but people think it's the full free to play game.

I love Diablo but I cannot wait for PoE2 to release, PoE has always been such a good game and 2 looks so much better. Even better timing since I rebuild my system this weekend. Love your content man, keep doing great work!
Over time, Blizzard continues to lose my support with their ridiculous decisions, whereas Grinding Gear Games continues to gain my support. :) It is unfortunate as Diablo has been my favourite series for a long time
What I find interesting is that ggg have focused on new players and the testing feedback is that new players find it far easier to adjust to and struggle less than poe1 players.

@@ThePepe969 D3 was a much better game, they recognize that and are moving away from the slow garbage gameplay. You can "not like it" all you want but at the end of the day it doesn't work for the long term. Btw season 0 and season 1 of D4 saw the largest drop of player numbers in ARPG history. So no, both of those were complete garbage.
@@newax_productions2069 I hate D3, worst ARPG I've ever played. And claerly, D4 is turning into exactly that, a soulless boring grind of the same content and infinite scaling. I much prefer combat where you fight monsters than just hold 1 button and everything dies, what's the point when you're only playing for the loot? I want both combat and loot, that's what an ARPG is about.
Same here but this one has better feel to the hits and a great control scheme. Also, you don't evaporate screens in a second while moving around like a schizo on meth.
@@dvdgnz1yeah will be interesting to see how people feel about it after a while. The good thing about poe blast style is after a long day you just sit down and relax. You also can grind for hours. Could get exhausting if you actually have to do little combos for every pack. I just hope at some point they realize how bad flasks as a system are. These are buttons you don’t want to press. I way rather would press a skill as a Defense mechanism instead of using a pot xD
It took me a couple attempts to get hooked on POE as it was overwhelming at first. I started playing it on Xbox console around the same time that Diablo 2 Resurrected came out. I realized that the UI for console D2R was absolute dogshit, as if they tried to make the game worse than the original (I loved the original UI, and dont know why they butchered it for D2R, and didnt give the console a way to switch to the old UI). Then, I compared the UI to the console version of Path of Exile, which is nothing short of amazing, so I decided to give Path of Exile another try. And that is when I fell in love with it :) . Navigation of the inventory + stash tabs is lightyears ahead of all the ARPGs I have played with a controller (including Diablo 4 which is an absolute trainwreck). Using skills in PoE is also extremely well done and allows for up to 12 different skills to be used, and still allows 5 buttons to be used for flasks. The trade market is integrated directly into the console version, which makes it super simple to both list items and search for items to buy from players (so you don't have to go on 3rd party websites to trade). If you want to use an item filter in the game (other than the ones that the game has built in) you have to upload it to your Path of Exile character via their website. Perhaps one of the best parts about console PoE is the ability to pick up items from the ground. It is super simple to do: you use the right stick to choose which items to pick up that are around you. I am really surprised that other console games (especially ARPGs) do not have this feature implemented into their games, unless it is because it has been patented... There is a lack of ARPGs on consoles, specifically good ones. So the more I experienced PoE on xbox, the more I grew to love the game. If I had an issue with the game, or a complaint, or a suggestion, etc etc, I would email Grinding Gear Games. They would respond back to me so fast with a solution that fixed my problem, I was shocked. I do not think I have had to wait longer than 30 to 60 minutes for a response. The fastest response time I have had was less than 5 minutes (I think it was 3 minutes or so).
I hope my pc will be able to render that quality and fluidity of image while playing the game. It looks stunning really, some effects are miles ahead of the competitors in the genre
From watching this and other videos and streams my impression is that the monk is inferior to other classes in terms of damage output. Monk has also to dodge a lot and just getting more damage. Dont know if ranged classes are more preferable in POE2. But we will see on November, 15th ^^
Don't worry about the WASD movement thing. If you play games like Bloodline Champions or Battlerite and use characters with movement speed boosts, then you'll find very quickly that it's not an issue at all to control them.
Never liked the typical content creator zoom zoom explode screen loot explosion nonsense of POE. This looks refreshing, and more like an actual game than a walking/crafting sim. Just my perspective.
Problem is comparing yourself to content creator non sense builds. I get 40/40 in about 4 weeks each season without going meta or game breaking mechanics.
poe1 builds are not crazy zoom zoom unless you invest crazy amounts into them. This game is only showing us early game, it might end up just as fast. it definitely wont be slow like last epoch or d4.
I have to say that the reason why I subscribed and like this video and why I will be visiting you in the future is the smallest detail of your speech. That is "POE2 will not be easy as it is expected" there is no one yet in my watch history that said that and I respect you because of those words man. Happy to see someone likeminded to me. The narrative that POE2 will be easy for new players is totally absurd to me. Not only that it will be more challenging mechanics-wise and movement skills-wise The new skill tree will be a great challenge for an experienced POE1 player not speaking abut inexperienced player. Plus there will be no build guides or third party tools to support anyone in anything. The only thing that will be easier in my perspective, based on what I have watched on internet, will be just choosing skills and the explanation part of mechanics in game itself. But to think that it will be new gamer friendly is a bit delusional for me. Thank you for video.
they made gameplay tests with random people off the streets with no to minimal experience in playing games at all even. jonathan said in one interview that the group that struggled the most were the PoE1 players because they had trouble adapting to a new game. the new players didnt feel like its too difficult and enjoyed the challenge. i guess we will see for ourselves when the EA starts 15.11. I expect it to be a huge success with lots of butthurt PoE1 veterans crying about PoE2 not being PoE1. If you can start the game and have fun without needing tons of external ressources or bricking your first build in act2, then i guess we can finally bury that stupid nonsense and start talking seriously about whats good about the game and what not.

The lightning skills in POE imo is several tier above D4. They looks so nice and powerful, almost menancing. D4 looks like terrible straw. I will not likely play POE2 but damn this game looks good!
@@R0ss0999 Shouldn't be a problem in PoE2. They made the loot more meaningful, so you won't be picking up nearly as much stuff as in PoE1. Think of it like D2, you still enjoyed picking up stuff but at the same time you weren't spending half of the time clicking.
I hope they actually keep low values for movement speed and attack speed in general. I love those in D4 or even PoE as it is now, but this is a great chane to give us a new way for experiencing combat in ARPGs.
It honestly pains me as someone who grew up with Diablo that this is how D4 could look and feel and be this engaging/complex. The Wilsonesque direction D4 has been involved in and its dumbed down systems is sad.
D4 first and foremost is made by a corporation and whether that is a good or bad thing is up to each individual. Secondly the game must attract and garner as massive an audience to ensure a large enough revenue stream to warrant it's production cost. Thirdly in order to attract a large audience it needs to not be complex. Which is why you'll never see a loot filter in D4 etc. It is up to each person to gauge if they are their intended target audience, which it sounds like you are not. This is neither a good or a bad thing, it is what it is. But to save yourself a lot of questions, for future sake don't play a triple-A game if you want complexity.
@@PlantsAndInsects And they have complete control over their company, the d4 devs do not. They answer to the higher ups who make all the decisions. Johnathan Rodgers is the higher up for PoE2. Massive difference, so no, not an excuse.
First time seeing this video and I hope wudijio plays poe. Aint no way this guy honestly wakes up everyday and just loves making diablo content and streaming it. Poe2 waiting room.
PoE2 is really smart, as they get to grow the game idea without risking PoE1 at all... PoE2's should also feel more natural on Console controllers, where PoE1 is relatively weak, both because of the movement system, and the changes to gem fitting.
I like the blasting style of combat that PoE 1 brings. But, I am also a fan of slow combat when it means something. I do not like slow combat when I know I can kill the enemies on screen with ease but from the looks of it this looks pretty hard so it might actually feel impactful enough to where I like it. Looking forward to this game! Edit: I am kind of glad they kept the complexity it can be overwhelming at first but it is 100% what makes PoE so fun to learn and experiment with. I just started playing PoE 1 like 3 leagues ago in affliction, just got my first headhunter this league and can not wait for this game!
I REALLY HOPE they support an Eight-Way joystick where you can "ROTATE" the character just with the joystick (like the Forgotten World or Ikari Warriors). That will be the ULTIMATE way to control the character. There's no better way.
When you say 8 way, are you saying to use both left and right sticks? Because if so, I have pondered how that would work as well. Having played PoE on XBOX console for a while, I can share with you the button layout they currently use (as you can use at least 12 skills and 5 flasks, all with different button configurations, and users choose what each button does). Skills are attached to A/B/X/Y . Then, if you can use 4 different skills by holding down Left Trigger and pressing A/B/X/Y, and 4 more new skills by holding down Right Trigger and pressing A/B/X/Y . For the flasks, you use Left Bumper, Right Bumper, D-Pad Left, D-Pad Up, D-Pad Right. D-Pad down turns your map on and off (if you want it transparent + under you, or if you want it in the top right-hand corner). Pressing the Left Stick shows more details in items. Pressing the Right Stick allows you to change your button layout for skills. Holding down Right Trigger and pressing the Right Stick allows you to Swap Weapons (a feature that they they used to have in Diablo 2). When there are items on the ground, you use your Right Stick to select which item you want, and then pick it up by pressing A. When in the inventory, you can get from one side of the inventory to the other by using the directions on the Right Stick (makes it so much easier for moving and storing items). There are other game mechanics which require you to hold down both Left and Right Triggers and Press A/B/X/Y/D-Pad Left/D-Pad Right/D-Pad Up/D-Pad Down, but I forget if you can assign skills to any of them. I know R+L Trigger + D-Pad Down is used for the Expedition mechanic (plants the explosive), but I am not sure what the others are for, or if the others can be used to assign a skill to. With those buttons in mind, I have often wondered if it would be possible to use the Right Stick to help aim for some skills, and I would like to think it should be possible. Perhaps the Left Stick always looks directly in that direction and we can use the Right Stick to change the direction or distance of a spell. That being said, I have wondered how we can use the Right Thumb to control both the Right Stick AND press the A/B/X/Y buttons. It would be awesome if we could drop, for example, Meteors/Blizzards/Arrows From Above/Proximity Mines in a specific place on the screen. Maybe, if we are holding down a button (A/B/X/Y), which would mean our character is stationary, then we can choose the direction AND placement with the Left Stick? Depending how far we move the Left Stick would be where on our screen the spell placement would be? But what about if we want to cast a spell while we are moving? It would be much harder to do that with Left Stick, and I could see how Right Stick could be very beneficial. I think ARPG style console games, with a view from above, have mainly relied on targeting the enemies as opposed to the specific areas, but I would love to be able to target the area. Sorry, when I was initially replying I did not know I was going to do into such depth lol, and because there are so many players who haven't played PoE I figured I may as well just write this out in case you have not played it (or at least not played the console version) and maybe it could help others understand too. I am curious to know what you meant though, and I may have to look up those games so I can understand if we are on the same page :) . I look forward to your response and hope you have a great day!
thanks this was a nice take on POE2... Diablo 4 is definitely made for more casual gamers, "the masses" as you put it. D3 was the same way, a complete departure from previous diablo titles where it was dark and brutal and punishing. It was like the devs equated difficulty and slower pace as a bad thing and made an arcady "blaster" for D3 (once they figured out that the game at launch was bad-bad-not-good and they pivoted into what the game is now). And D4 is less like that, but still not as tough and punishing as D2, so it falls in-between the two. I look forward to a challenging, tough, slow and grindy ARPG that has great boss fighting baked in, and a fleshed out and complete end game on launch. Looking forward to POE2. Will be my game for the next 10 years probably. D4 will be fun and quick to jump back into, but unless they change the dismal state of "end-game" activities, doubt i will remain interested.
D4 was made for "the masses" with a huge price tag. PoE was made for the pros with no price tag. PoE2 is being made for everyone without any price tag.

Attacking while moving makes for a very smooth gameplay experience and QoL compared to Diablo 4's stop to cast (by developer's choice) on ranged characters especially. You have to stop to cast no matter what with no other choice whatsoever in D4. Unless you use some weird shenanigans that sometimes work and sometimes don't like changing settings and trying not to target monsters. Real stupid stuff compared to attack+move being the default.

I'd argue it is. I'm lost everytime I get back to it. I still need build guides to do anything remotely interesting in the game or else I just stop at maps and it sucks, feels like a character fail.
D4 compared to Poe2 - D4 has open world, character creation, better stories and cut scenes, can skip campaign. Poe2 has better gameplay, better bosses, more build-varieties, more classes, free to play, etc. As far as graphics, they seem the same, Poe2 might have a slight advantage. That said, both games have pros and cons. D4 is in fact a lot easier to get into. Poe2 will require a lot of time and research, not as much as Poe1 but definitely a lot harder than D4. I think there’s a market for both games. I will be playing both and decide which 1 I will keep playing.
I did love the campaign + story for Diablo 4, but the other aspects of the game, not so much.. Its like they are trying to cater the game to a new generation of gamers yet trying to add elements into the game that will draw in the ex-Diablo gamers... Unfortunately, I feel that by adding things like Runes and calling them Rune "words", etc, they will continue to drive a wedge in between the player-base/target markets.
You list the strong points of D4 followed by 'can skip campaign' which everyone does and makes them obsolete. They had a open world but add all content to instanced areas of that open open world or separate areas. I also think it's not enhancing the experience at all. If there was an option to do legion events, world bosses and even standard events solo I'd choose it all the time. That way the world bosses would actually be a benchmark of your character, but hey.. Character creation, yea, that's good but I doubt a lot of people care. I'd love if it would have more options like Dark Souls but I'm also completely fine with premade characters.
F2P is never a good thing. I rather pay 60€ to have full game. Cheaper for long run. Also early access is worst of both worlds. Need to buy it if you want to play at release and have f2p microtransactions on top of that...
That middle overlay map in center of the screen I really hate that in POE1, you can't move it around when playing with controller on PC so your stuck with a overlay map in your face. POE 2 needs options to move the overlay map for controllers.
I play on console only, and what I do is either I make it more transparent (which is great for dark areas) or I just use the map in the corner of the screen (for brighter areas). That way I do not have to change the transparency frequently.
I absolutely hated not having my tab map when D4 first came out. But now I like it, just way too much screen clutter with it on here. Hope they have an option for minimap.

in theory that is true, but with ~1500 points on the tree all of them available for everybody and only about 100-120 points available the limit is rather illusory. PoE1 has fewer points and over 10years of game service time and we still discover new builds all the time.
