In crematorium you can also press escape and go to characterselection for the back porting to town without dying or using a portal your instance will be there with the dropped portal
Hey Thanks for the tips. One of the main issue I encounter when "rushing" is either my dmg doesnt follow or at one point i start getting one shot (leveling too slow for the area or items not strong enough). Could you give us some tips to keep lvls and items relevant and still being as fast as possible?
@@maxrad69 Socket colors and links are much more important for damage than almost any stat in the acts , so try not to sacrifice a good link for a good stat , also keeping your resistances relevant with the crafting bench is essential. always check for open suffixes on gear and craft the cheapest res option. Coming by life gear in the early acts is hard so prioritize picking up life on your passive tree instead.
Awesome video! The stashes in the sewers (around 13:50) in act 3, you can know where to search the third by the size of the room for the second - small one, it's to the right/down, big one - up on the way to the exit
Been doing act 1 through 5 runs this week to prep for league start. These tips have taken me from 4 and a half hours to 2 and a half hours. Thanks for the tips and tricks. Will be watching the 5 through 10 tips as well. Keep up the good work.
@@Lolcohol Will do, aiming fo a 6 hour campaign and in the past ive never been able to force myself to do all 10 unless its league start. Breaking it down by first 5 is something thats easy to do after work and pretty much sets you in for the next 5. Have a good league start!
I think the circular path in Tower of God is mainly dictated by it being a circular tower. The "waterfall of flames" is often referred to as lava. Good guide.
With solaris/ lunaris temples the one cart direction also works in the other one, which has two flower pots on one side and one flower pot on the other.
Thanks for the tips, can't wait for the rest. I enjoy the campaign, it's not necessarily fun itself, but it's always exciting with the new mechanics and constant new gear/passive unlocks feels great.
Another sewers tip - if you find the second bust in a large open room, the last one will be up (near the exit to battlefront). If you find the second bust in a small room, the third bust will be down (opposite to the exit of the battlefront).
@@mclovin4974 After the sewers waypoint, going to the right, you're gonna find the second bust. If you it is in a small room, it means that you're going to find the 3rd and final bust in the bottom-right of the map. If you find it in a bigger room, it means you're gonna find the 3rd bust in the top of the map, near the exit to the marketplace.
@@mclovin4974 What @Rheuahrg said, looking at the video at 13:50 i'd say the last bust will be at bottom right, because the room is closed and a smaller one. :)
this is really good, it's all these little things that stack up and make leveling a pain, Im gonna keep referencing this vid this league start so thanks!
Do you mean an Equilateral triangle? Any three points can always make a triangle, just with various angles. So I'm assuming you mean something more specific. If so, that's really helpful - thanks!
Me watching this video: wow how cool and informative, I know most of these, but The Docks in act 3 are one of my least favorite areas, sure hope there's a tip to navigate it! Lolcohol: a nice place to level Me: heck.
in the ship graveyard you can portal tip near fairgraves so when you find the slave girl you can town/portal straight to fairgraves - Havoc trick I learned from Subtractem lol
A cool trick in the Sewer is if the next place after the portal are small that means the last one are below the map, and if the room are big the last one are in the top of the map
In Act 1 the ledge: the small 3 vases? at the waypoint, point you into the direction you have to go. Means if youre WP is on the short tile, reset the zone might help saving some time.
great stuff, knew almost everything by learning it myself, but the ones in the western forest and portal drops were not in my repertoire, and now they are, big thanks on that
Hey great vid of tips! Wanted to chip in a smidge: In the sewers with the busts, right after you pass the waypoint, if the 2nd bust is in a room that looks like a giant head (2 squares for eyes and one for a mouth), the 3rd bust is up and to the left towards the zone exit. If NOT, then the bust is up and to the right.
For the compass directions and (up,right, down, left) Delving has tought me that top left of your screen is always up/north, best way to look at it in my opinion. PS ty Neko for all our adventures so far. More to come in Crucible
This is amazing, thank you so much!!! I have been doing practice running before league start and this was very helpful! End of act 3 is always my slowest so all those tricks are going to be a massive help!!!
Also, when you in Lunaris Temple in act 8, you can find right way after the ladder by watching not broken carts, but little vases with white flowers. Same thing like in act 3: two vases - wrong way, one vase - right one.
For the sceptre of god I usually follow the most "square" tiles and they usually direct to the where the stairs are. A little slow but it beats running around the outside.
A completely unsolicited review: "Lolcohol's guides made me able to do my first sub 10 hour campaign!" ;) No, seriously, I shaved about 2 hours from my normal speed. Thanks for the awesome guides!
Great vid Lol! This is exactly the kind of post I would make if I was a content creator. Really helpful to new players mostly, but I'm sure a lot of players would benefit from going over the leveling process with new eyes. Thx for all the work brother. Have a great league start!
For the torched courts, the loop always turns at the room you're in at 25:07 - there's a unique mob in the top left of the room, and that's always where you pivot from going up and right to going down and left in your clockwise loop. edit to add you can recognize this room from the pews and the unique room layout on the map. Great vid - I learned a few tips and had a few suggestions but this was the only one I didn't see in comments already. I hope you make the part 3 with viewer tips!
Another tip for those who play hardcore and wanna get to town fast, just logout to char select and spam “Enter”, you will appear in city and can teleport to any waypoint
The most important thing to take away, is that in order to improve your speed by a multiple of 1 hour, you will have to spend multiples of 10+ hours on memorizing and practicing. I mean.. yeah, it can be kind of efficient if you level a whole lot of characters every league, but otherwise... :) That's why I would prefer to see different kinds of tricks. One example that I never seen mentioned by anyone is to pick and identify ALL magic and rare belts early on, until you get 18-20% reduced flask charges used mod. That mod spawns from ilvl 1, and is quite common. It is the absolute best mod to get on your gear early on, regardless of the base or any other mods, because having it allows to have a much higher quicksilver flasks uptime (which, another tip, is to have 2, guaranteed second comes from act 2 cave reward).
Invest 10-20 hours of your time to save 5 hours from all future rerolls! Seems like a good deal to me! I'll try to put out a video today with some more general tips :)
Quite a bit of things I didnt realize, thank you man. Very nice to see you using Rage Vortex, I love that skill. I played 2 Zerkers at one point with it.
You didn't include the tip for navigating Daresso in A4 -- essentially, if you always take the "left" fork, you'll never have to backtrack and you won't run into any extraneous arenas.
On lunaris 2, there's something about where your foot is in relation to the floor tile edge when you spawn in the zone which tells you if piety is left or right of the spawn.
One thing I've noticed (though not 100%) is that if you do get lost by any chance and not sure which way to head, if you ran into the league mechanic (whatever it may be) you're usually going in the right direction, I've rarely seen them put those in a different direction than where you're supposed to go. LE: Also big thanks for the video, after so many seasons I've grown a little tired of the leveling (it just feels a little tedious, clearly shown by how probably half of the PoE community is a speedrunner in campaign ^_^ )
I learned so much from the video. thanks for alot! I think this was GGG's master plan to nerf wand craft recipe so content creator has to make leveling videos to help newbies like me!
2:00 so your saying that the bridge is a fork for submerged depths and the ledge? 16:44 the plum is allways up and right of the trial(if you need respec) and the decandter spiritus is by the wp in the marketplace (a 2nd free amulet if ssf or ruthless)
eyyyyyyyyyyy THANKS LOL!!!!! fin ally super happy getting caught up in this leagues hype cycle, and with toxic rain leveling being the best in endgame ill ever get ot enjoy it im gonna go hard ofr the weekend. wish pconc PF didnt get murder with leveling flask charges but hoenstly IF WE KEEP ADRENALINE and even just the perma onslaught, i think leveling pconc without the bonus you get from flasks will still be fine~ realisticly it might just be volly + 1 from the tree for 4 proj and ur golden so idk imma try it FIRST to see if i can get to a 4 link before even BOTHERING with TR hahaha buuuuuuuut 100% poison chance is a lot of regrets so time will tell thanks for a bunch of tips and no matter if i league start bows cause itll be disgustingly fun, or if i just go hard on TR or even keep trying to force pconc with new PF and other memes time wil ltell but cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers
One thing that i don't think was mentioned is that you can quickly return to character selection screen and then join the game again to return to town without using a portal scroll. This is important on league start when you don't really have portal scrolls. In the crematorium where the advice was to get yourself killed, this is only true if you have a really squishy character. if your character is tanky it will be much faster to return to town via the character selection screen.
If you log out, your teleport despawns. So you'll have to run back to the Slums and then to the Sewers entrance. If you are tanky, you can take off armor.
@@JeffHenneforth yeah, It is good to point out that your portal despawns. For some tanky characters taking off armor might be an option, but if you have a bunch of regen or something it may not help that much. Ultimately it depends on how long your character takes to die. You aren't saving a ton of time with the portal at the sewer entrance anyway, since it almost always spawns close to the zone entrance.
Am I weird, my first character I stuck with was recently in 3.20, im level 70 atm in act 8. I’ve explored every nook and cranny of every area I’ve been in, most multiple times. Now that I’ve done that as well as understanding all of the best gear/currency comes from end game, I’ll move much faster in 3.21 to get to mapping. Cheers for the tips!
Super cool and detailed. Thank you so much for this guide!! Totally off topic. But brazier technically pronounced "bray-zhur." The other pronunciation is more typical for women's garments.
As someone who has practiced going fast for fun, I manage 4½ ~ 5 hours as a PB - and I still learned some nice new tricks, maybe I can cut down another half hour soon so thanks :)
Very nice guide. Learned a couple of new tricks I hadn't considered before. One thing that sounded weird.. a couple of times you suggest player getting killed to get to town faster. I feel like just relogging back to character selection and back to town is much faster for me, but that might be different to people that play on slower PCs.
@@AGVenge That's exactly the reason. It can be faster to die and go to town to take the portal back then logging back to the character screen, take the portal, and then have to run.
I don't get the hate for the campaign at all. I like to create new characters and try out different builds, so I'm doing the campaign quite a few times each league. Finding and collecting leveling gear (even in trade) is a part of the game for me and really makes a difference for your next characters. If you take the time and prepare a bit (i.e. think about your leveling before starting the character) will reduce the time quite a bit and all the tips you mention here are really great for that!
Waiting for quests to avoid! Every league im doing every quest not remembering which one gives "good stuff" (quicksilver, skill book) and which one does not. Im waisting a lot of time there!
Ive been quite enjoying all the QOL enabled within the Lailloken tool this league, and the images in the qik leveling tool are essentially this video in an autotracking/updating form (but the build editor is laughable compared to lai and even the very outdated poe roadmap). I imagine some of the images and routes may need some updating based on the general datedness of qik overall, but havent used it enough to be 100% at this point. Did learn from the video, though as I got the images tool today, so thanks! Would be an amazing day if one of the speedrunners would help update the qik routes/images to current day, and I have put in a request for lai to add the 2 features qik has that he somehow hasnt got to in his heroic AI tool creation efforts (images and the xp/level tracker).
I'd check out Garf412's channel! I'm not super clued up on Heist beyond that one strat, but his whole channel is Heist-focused: www.youtube.com/@garf412
