Hey, dunno if this helps, but ive started with CI occ vortex/cold snap buid You will have a little tougher and non linear leveling path, bit gear is easy to come by. Cold damage multiplier is BiS mod on any of your gear. This increases DoT dmg exponentially and 30% cdotm can make a difference between killing a target in 30 seconds and 10 seconds. Trigger socketed skills on cast is mandatory in the long run, and it really helps your damage output a ton, but you can run white and almost all yellows without it. I think your guide will have it explained. Try to get it after lvl 56 or so. Also if youre going CI, stock up on refund points and regret orbs. Good es gear is not mandatory and you can convert on 30-40c budget, provided you can cover the resistances. Dont do it before lvl 72-76, and if youre very new or first timer to CI follow the build closely and look up a CI guide if you need it. TLDR: Fantastic build, bit on the slow side but can run reds no problem. Fun and once you get the damage up its great and lategame when you get cdr belt then its gg. Quick tip: Craft crystal belts with deafening essence of sorrow(i think thats what its called, the one that grants dex on belts). Its a great way to make money and make a fantastic belt to ease up on the dex requirements on your gear. Good luck!
@@homemadelemonade976 Thanks for the tips! I ran CI Occ with this build a few leagues ago when everyone was playing it or Winter Orb. That was pre-Occ nerfs, so I'm sure it's a bit different now.
@@homemadelemonade976 All good stuff. Also, +1 all cold spell gems is pretty nice to have if you can get that in addition to the cold DoT multi, but can be really pricey to buy with any other good stats.
@@juliao9146 alright, but early on its best to craft the scepter by yourself and pay a craft for trigger mod. Get a void scepter and spam frigid fossils+metallic ones. This way youll have a chance at cold damage multiplier and cold res penetration and wont have physical dmg mods. Trigger isnt really mandatory as i previously stated but you really have to use it if you want to go beyond yellow maps as the dmg boost it gives is immense once you scale up your dots a bit
i find the frostbolt ice nova hierophant even better now with spellslinger. as you can throw in a 1 link kinetic bolt and add spellslinger to both your frostbolt and icenova setup and it turns your build into 1 button of doom.
Your BV Chieftain inspired me to make my own and it ended up being the first character that I got into crafting gear for and min maxing for fun. Didn't min max it to its fullest potential in the end but I had a good time. Crafted two pretty baller explody chests as well!
I'm thinking of doing BV+Animate weapon Occultist as my starter. The new Animate weapon seems really nice, and with profane bloom pops could be amazing for map clear me thinks.
I'm going Dom Blow/Herald of Purity Guardian using BalorMage's guide. He has a great league start written guide and he has a video guide for a high-end min/maxed version that can face tank Sirus and does like 10mil dps. I can't believe Dom Blow/HoP survived the nerfs AND got big buffs from the cluster jewels. This is going to be a fun league. :-D
@@Psykrom Have you looked at BalorMage's version? It's got 83-84% max resists, nearly maxed chaos res and 10k ES plus it's immune to most ailments. It can face tank Sirus beams. It's really not that risky.
@@dbrowdy yes I have. Though I have doubts it makes for a good starter. Considering the investment, though I may just be too bad to make the ES transition happenng.
I suffer from great lag so I usually stick to tankier builds (and softcore) this league I started with RF Jugg sadly I am feeling a bit stuck at lv 88 with 8.4k life and 1.4k regen, 85% fire resist. these league mobs hit like a truck I'll just continue to focus on map completion. I've pretty much almost finished my min-max, basically just a few points off max.
Hey Nathan, thanks a lot for your nice videos! Loved your impulsa hierophant last season and will probably come back to it later in 3.10. After 2 seasons starting as necro I want to try something different. What do you think about fiver's frost blade raider as a starter in 3.10? Thanks a lot in advance
What I'm most excited about this league is the "Hollow Palm technique" thing, with 1000 dex you get around 1400-2000 flat phys... seems insane with impale and shit.
I'm going to be trying out my 3rd ever homemade build using Champion Impale Barrage, gaining clear through Volley Fire and anointing the +2 pierce notable and survival through tons of armor and Molten Shell
@@cellimotion It's a decent hit and run playstyle, just shoot ED and dodge shit rinse and repeat for boss fight. It is also DoT so high end boss will take a bit longer then usual. It doesn't require much to scale single target as the gem itself gives a ton of damage per level.
@@cellimotion I ran ED contagion in metamorph and the ST is definitely lacking, even with wither totems and vaal blight on a 10ex budget. Clear speed is insane though. I'm sure with more investment you could pump those ST numbers up. Not a bad boss killer by any means but definitely not the best.
With a + gem bow and amulets you cna push damage to around 1.5-2mil with not that much investment with wither totems, blight and ED. But if you want ED to not feel like absolute trash invest heavily into cast speed. I played an occultism and hated it, but later did trickster with investment in cast speed and it was one of my fastest levellers yet
@@yogurtfluff1 i see. I just were using i.imgur.com/WfhVsoF.png those boots with this build to autocreating Phatasms while running,i thought thats a common thing :O
why are there no deadeye builds in the best league starters? I'm new and would greatly appreciate an answer on this. I was hoping 3.10 would have some best of the best ranger builds as the recommended builds, but i cant find any videos suggesting deadeye as league starter.
Okay time to avoid all these build, OH WAIT WRONG CHANNEL KEKW Just joking, this channel has quickly become one of my fav poe channels lately (in Metamorph). Who knew I can still learn stuff after playing poe since 2015. Cheers.
correct me if i am wrong but the nerf to pyroclast mines throw speed is tiny and can be fixed with a bit more investment, and the projectiles nerf isnt going to make pyro feel bad. difference may be a couple more seconds to kill a boss. i was planning on league starting with your build actually, and i tested it with super cheap gear and no helm enchant on 5L and it was destroying everything at lvl 64 so.... idk =P
Small thing but I suggest using the appropriate upper/lowercase characters at the end of the video for your discord server. I found the link obviously but probably a good idea going forward.
Can confirm poison BV assassin is crazy good as a starter. Also, rando question...how about your storm's gift Hiero with lightning converted BV with archmage a thing now and more new mana stuff and the unleash buff?
The new Arcane Surge guard skill thing + Archmage support + Manastorm shield + Unleash? Could also try that new channel skill that does damage based on mana spent.
If your going crit swords then 2 scaevas will carry you until you can craft better foils. Lacerate feels a bit jank at the lower levels from my experience until you can get a decent amount of attack speed so don't be discouraged at first if it feels bad when you first get the gem (typically multistrike + arena challenger is when it starts feeling good). Keep your weapons up to snuff while leveling using the rustic belt recipe so you have a smoother experience. Hope that helps you even a little.
If you're interested in experimenting, Mathil tried a perfect agony version a while ago, didn't check it out myself but it seemed worth a try. I think you'd prefer to invest on some impale though. From my experience, going with axes and resolute technique makes you spike earlier and with lower costs, while also allowing you to both invest in bleed nodes (with or without crimson dance, but I'd recommend it) and in impale nodes fast. If you go with swords (and crits, then), consider Ahn's might as an alternative, small upgrade from scaeva before you get endgame stuff. You can also go sword + shield, 80+ attack + spell block chance is really enjoyable and makes it almost impossible for you to rip (w/ fortify and decent stats ofc), but then you're gonna have to make choices between that and bleed explosion, which is... Quite enjoyable to say the least.
I've been having a ton of fun with cyclone CwC soulrend for the past 3 leagues This time I think I'll try something new with spellslinger, maybe trigger essence drain & contagion? Or trigger ED + contagion & bane? Or trigger ED + contagion + soulrend & bane? Yeah that sounds like a plan :D I just need to find an wand attack that works for chaos dmg
I am wondering how powerful the new spellslinger gem is, as you can slot in a bunch of skills it may be possible to push it really really high in casts/second.
You ever make a build that you never could repeat? Cause Death's Oath is a favourite of mine which I made in Incursion I believe? The speed was great and I didn't have to use any abilities. I probably got lucky with my trades though. This league however, I'm going to do it and goddamn it it's going to work!
I think Kay's Spectre should be there as well. Yea... they got nerfed, but her guide is great and I think they will still do great with a really low budget.
I was considering between caustic arrow occultist and freezing pulse hierophant. Guess totems will be safer this patch... But the caustic arrow occultist is so fun and I loved it so much
@@Heipooo I might do a league starter with it. Depending what I farm, I might transfer into CI Occultist caustic arrow or warcry Debeon's dirge. Lots of interesting warcry nodes.
Wait if you don't carry over your stash when a new league starts, why do all of these guides have extremely rare shit as "starting equipment"? How am I supposed to have these already? I'm kinda newish to the game
Coming back after some leagues, maybe I'm interested in ED Trickster. Is it popular in the sense of items being expensive or does it need good items to be somewhat good? I'm kinda playing like SSF very casually - "kinda" because I play regular but I don't really like trading and an "expensive" item for me is like 40c.
ED/Contagion can beat story mode easily on a 4 link and can do red maps on a 5 link. Once you get a 6 link in your setup you can easily kill red tier shaper+elder. Zizaran's guide+POB is very solid for the leveling process although it doesn't quite cover when/how to switch to low life iirc. 6 links for ED contagion will probably range in 5-7ex at league start and drop in price as the league continues on. There are unique items that will be in your 40c price range such as Zeel's Amplifier or SoulStrike quiver but for the most part you can craft rare ES gear that will help you make it to red maps easily which is why the build is so appealing. Your most expensive purchases will be a+3 bow that is 6 linked, a helm with good essence drain enchant, 6 link shavs, a good watchers eye. All that gear though is for doing stuff like Uber Elder and competely unnessecary for red maps. Good luck and hope this helps you!
I cleared all the content last league with Soul Rend Trickster. With lvl28ish gems and multiplier everywhere I was able to clear everything(was not playing with a bow but with a shield because mapping speed) but keep in mind it felt a bit bad on some legion encounters and some temple comboes. However it is truelly bad against big bosses(it gets there with great investment but it's not amagad territory at all) and imho ED will feel better for next league mechanic. I don't recommend it, it has great clear in tons of layouts HOWEVER I don't see it better clearspeed wise than ed for delirium content and it is significantly less smooth on single target.
Im quite new the game, where are skills trees in links you provided? I really miss them there, I really, really need to see why some skills are allocated in some nodes.
Mmm not a big fan, theres a reason Baron Zombies was most popular build last season, its cuz those damn Metamorphs dealt way too much damage with their almost impossible to dodge BS abilities. From all we know so far, Delirium will be very similar, with all the buffs to monster dmg and the poor visibility in the mists... wouldve loved to see more tanky builds in this.
Okay, had to comment after the "minion nerf" comment. The so called "nerfs" only harmed one spec, and it wasn't even a very popular spec. The dmg buff removal on feeding frenzy doesn't hurt minion builds, as the feeding frenzy buff itself is still giving 10% dmg on top of 15% move attack and cast speeds. The speed boost and the "aggressive nature" buffs are why feeding frenzy is still god tier. The spec that got demolished was that strength based zombie spec that relied on baron fro 14 zombies and spirit offering for immortality. That is the ONLY spec that got nerfed to the point of "NEAR" unviability. Do people not understand how ludicrous the specter change is? The possibilities are mind boggling. The notes basically said "oh, hey, you can now raise any non boss mob in the game as a specter, and they will have their abilities where most of them didn't before". Every specter build that was viable in 3.9 just got a HUGE boost. HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, burning deal builds are untouched, and I was dropping endgame bosses in half a second with them, literally. Cmon.
Hey I was looking to do your take on Fireball/Pyroclast mines with the staff weapon swap. Do you think the single target for Pyroclast has been nerfed by enough for it to not be worth a league start?
Got nerf on +projectile on 4 mines detonated instead of 2 and proably (so we can't ramp up that much in that LOWER timer) WAY HARDER to get fossil craft helmet i mean Trigger Socketed spell when u focus (fossil) + - fire res for nearby enemy (now from Warlord's Influence) only ;/ and labo enchant: Pyroclast +1 projectile instead of +2 QQ
Oooh man last time I Played as triple herald Ele is 5-6 leagues ago and still my favourite and looking forward to play again but I dont know is it still endgame viable or not
Lone Messenger is a large dps loss for HoP. I'm sure people will use it but it wouldn't be correct to suggest it. Getting 25% more damage from the minion is not worth losing pride, vauln aura, and or Skitter bots. This is video is a great collection of suggestions but that node will hurt peoples builds. Pure Agony on the other hand is bonkers and i can't believe they put that in the game.
@@thomasgoodwill You sure about that? Just verified the wiki because I wasn't quite sure but... " _This item is restricted to areas with the league flag for Legion active._ " Ok during legion it dropped once every other timeless domain but there is no legion mod in map device in delirium btw. Good luck with that.
@@corpusarmatae8541 you can easily farm it with divination cards. The Pact is the card you're looking for and you can start to farm it the moment you arrive to the Quay in Act 8
This game is rly good, but what i see in every video and every stream is that, ppl just run around one shooting everything in half a second with any build. The bosses last longer (maybe 4 or 5 hits). Thats why i dont play it. Seems to me that this game is a walk in the park.
Just my 2 cents. I started playing about 3 weeks ago, and I'm literally playing 6-8 hrs per day now. It's true what they say - POE is super addictive. The hard-mode (not dying once) is really tough for me, and there are so many choices in game that you should be able to find some way to have fun. I came from MMO's and some console gaming as a point of reference.
