That is actually less true than usual projectile builds. The explosions are designated aoe effects, unlike projectiles which need to be tracked individually, so it's a lot less demanding on your card than regular KB, for example. I'm playing KB deadeye, and after switching to the KB of clustering + Tornado tech, I had a lot less issues with frame drops than I had with regular KB (most notably on expeditions bc I don't have the anti block mastery), and I'm running an RX 5700, which is roughly a 2070 equivalent iirc.
Headhunter buffs are not coded as buffs that are affected by the "Buffs expire faster" mod. They have a grey border, not a green one, and you'll notice they don't have purple text like the buffs that DO get affected by faster expiration. If you, the person reading this, doesn't believe me, feel free to get an inspired learning if you can't afford HH, go into an expire faster map, kill a rare, and time how long it takes to expire.
It is an amazing build. Performs even on an extreme budget. I tried another way of scaling dmg: Abhorrent Interrogation + 2 Ming's Heart and + 2 Obliteration leveling + early game switched to Grace of the Goddess (>80 phys as extra) and explode chest. Everything dies two screens away, everything explodes, you can't see shit, true PoE experience
THANK YOU, FINALLY SOMEONE WHO ANSWERS IF THE BUILD CAN DO TITANTIC T17S OR NOT. Everyone's like. "Ya this can do feared" , Feared isn't even the hardest content anymore XD
feared wasnt the hardest content ever.....most singular übers are more dangerous and mroe tanky than feared......(mainly becasue invitation bosses do not have their usual stun and freeze reductions as in their arenas)
Appreciate the detailed wand crafting guide, ended up hitting the unenchanted GG wand in net -80 div (excess unbricked awakener orb bases recouped a lot of losses, thanks for the tip)
I did a super scuffed version with 2 grace of goddess and all self crafted gear and it just annihilates T17s and feels nearly invinicible at lvl 93 lol Balance of terror phys as extra random ele dam is also a nice damage boost
@@Raiunax youtube won't let me post the full link for some reason?? - end of URL: 9KIsuzgN1QJs - it's gigascuffed, even have a chaos res wheel atm lol
@@ozbezarius922 you could probably get this build off the ground for 50 divs or less. Wands will be half the budget unless prices have changed, craft the big cluster jewel yourself (harvest makes it easy), HH is super cheap, rest on gems/basic gear. You could probably go very budget but I don't know at what point it will stop feeling good.
@@aarkell5499 Alot of items went up in price and i self crafted everything but i'd say i've spent 900d ish for something similar to the vid. Went super unlucky on the body armour but definetly not cheap
This is so cool man, this skill totally under the radar and quite nutty. I think there's more you can do with it still even! Really fun interactions offensively and defensively. thanks for sharing
I don't follow build guides but I took the basic tec (kin blast of cluster / tornado / fork) and made a build for myself. It's super fun even on a tight budget (if you are even slightly competent at making builds). I went dead eye scaling projectile speed / proj damage / spell damage / aoe / mana / attack speed. Ascendancy: ricochet, endless munitions, gathering winds and avidity. For defenses: Life / Mana / ES, block and spell block, lil bit of evasion and armor, Life/ES/Mana on hit, life regen, mana regen, Es regen, mind over matter. I have 12 explosions, 0.15 attack speed. No awakened fork, No ghosted weapons, no indegon, no HH, no mirror tier gear. I'm having an absolute... BLAST!!! =P .
Ya I did Warden for the 50 Shocks and 3s Freezes. Its fun but without 100s of Div gear is just for fun in easy content. It does GREAT as a mid level Delver
5:33 I recommend double-checking this for yourself ingame, but mechanically this isn't entirely correct. Kinetic Blast (of Clustering or not) explosions are distributed in a circle. If an explosion's section of the circle is entirely inside a wall, that explosion is skipped, not moved inward. Or to use GGG's analogy, picture a pizza. Slice it in as many pieces as you have explosions. Each explosion is placed somewhere on the crust of its slice. If the entire crust of a slice is inside a wall, the explosion for that slice is skipped, not moved onto the tomato sauce.
Damn just when I thought I was done with the league and on the way back to being a functioning adult, you drop this build.. I guess I could respec into this from my Ice Nova Archmage
The Innate RIdiculous Base Damage ( gain % Mana as Base Phys ) is really what makes the Build . Shield Crush has that Line too ( Shield Armour into Base Phys Damage ( but only from Shield Hits ) This skill dosnt even have this Downside kek ( Base wand damage will apply to the skill regardless ) , Seems insane . wil try this down the Line for sure .
The projectile collision with the tornado creates a primary AoE and then a bunch of secondary ones in a ring. Wouldn’t standing directly on top of a monster mean you get the same number of hits, as you guarantee the primary explosions from every returned projectile will hit your target?
is the jade flask with % evasion really worth if it's only giving you ~4k evasion? thinking about just swapping it for silver flask and keeping the gold flask when I build this, thoughts? awesome guide btw great stuff as always palsteron
So I didn this with my Warden. Lots of Freeze and with Oth of Spring you hit the 50 Shocks cap FAST Then you have the boss button Avatar of the Wilds for 80% More damage. Make sure to socket Ice Bite in so you freeze. It is fun but not a high end maper build
Crafting question here - How does gain phys as extra ele interact with gain ele as extra chaos? I recently woke orb'd the two phys as ele mods onto a wand and hit the shaper "Gain % of elemental damage as extra chaos damage" mod as third prefix. Does that stack with all the extra elemental damage gained from the first layer of damage conversion? Wasn't sure where else to ask
I've been playing a budget version of this as well for the last couple of days. Just HH, 2 wands with only 1x phys as ele and overall just dogshit gear to cap resists and its been a blast. Singletarget is ass on even writhing invitations etc but zooming through strand/glacier or 5ways is as smooth as can be. You can definitely make it worth without mirror tier gear, will just miss a lot of the QoL and single target but the clearspeed will be there.
food for thought i tried out using power siphon of the archmage in the totem. it only hits single target once which sucks but the flat dmg from mana is almost double and it has culling strike built in. just an idea to throw out there
I tried making the build work about 2 weeks ago by converting my mjolner hierophant to a wander. I didn't spend more than 10 divs or so, but i recognized its potential. Mind you this was a different approach using a 9l wand with the squire and around 17k mana. The clear speed was insane, rivaling warden/deadeye elemental hit of the spectrum with hundreds of divs of investment. But yeah, even with awakened forking returning projectiles the single taget dps was lackluster. I never even considered tornado, an obvious miss on my part. It might be the missing link tbh. I wonder if this approach is superior to massive mana stacking.
Maybe there is some things to do with placements or terrain but I couldn't get the solo target where I wanted to either (even with fork/tornado). Fun build nontheless
Because he needs the cooldown to be low so the tornado spawns all the time. Tornado only has collision during the initial wind up period, once it starts moving it's useless.
33:46 hard disagree on your take about crafting it's complicated, there are many layers, and we usually use several different methods combined WHICH MAKES IT AWESOME !
i am now thinking of league starting KB of Clustering + Tornado next league but make it pathfinder to scale the flat phys to poison and get cheap explosions from asenaths🤔 + u can even reserve your mana since u dont need to scale the spell damage from the skill and use purity/grace/ for smooth start
I rolled this build up a few days ago and was able to clear t16 content on a 6 div budget, still wearing mostly leveling gear. It definitely takes investment to hit top tier, whether you go int stacking or hh/indigon, but it does perform at lower levels. I'm at the point where I'm deciding whether to go the mageblood route or HH route
@LpSuffle honestly? I don't feel like it is. I bought one but i don't feel like it's pulling much weight. You already have screen-wide clear and the only hangup is single target. I don't have explosions yet either and I'm putting that at the end of my priority list as well for the same reason. Yeah, you can get to a boss jacked up with hh mods but until your defenses are good enough to not die at all and keep those buffs it's inconsistent at best. I'm sure at high end farming it's good when you are blasting with no fear of dying, but it's absolutely not necessary
@jalengibbs5403 ive since invested more, so I'm at about 30 div in right now (basically 14 for gift of the goddess and 14 for hh plus a couple cheap pieces) and I'm farming guardian maps with harvest/ scarab of doubling. Feeling pretty darn decent even at this level. I'll edit this reply with my pob once I get home from work. As long as you promise not to mock my lazy gearing. My flasks are less than garbage and I've got lots of unused sockets just from laziness.
Tbh, i don't understand the importance of explosion part. I did t17 on this build with lower crit multi (no rings, no watcher eye crit multi mods), and i cleared like two screens away. Single target doesn't care about explosive mod. So what the point?
I was leveling a similar build just using the kin blast tec and me and a LS dude where fully unloading all the game textures down to a black screen while group leveling..
I have a shit PC and the build works, you just have to pick a level of content to stop at. I cannot do high tier maps with the kin blast tec but about t8 + deli / breach ect, ect, was playable on my potato.
We should normalize putting the regex for every build as part of the guide. After only having to avoid a few mods with lightning strike this league, i found that the quickness of rolling my maps directly impacts my enjoyment of the game.
@@Dislukee jokes aside though, you can randomly die to reflect because of your tormented spirits. It doesn't happen often (leveled to 99 while running reflect maps) but it happens.
hi could you do a build video for players who are just starting to run maps and have little to no high tier currency. the issue with most build videos regardless of what the build is or class its played on, is filled with go here buy this go there trade this craft this craft that and most of us who are just starting to run maps cant come close to 90% of the " build recommends "
There's a shitton of cheap build guides on YT my boy. There's nothing wrong about being a starter or having no time to farm a ton of currency but you shouldn't expect any streamer to play a 10d build.
@@ykmtheoriginal6828 oh wait, i forgot, the title of this video was about new player tips. XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD i honestly am impressed with the ineptitude displayed here PS also "you're". smdh...
If you take the basic themes and build around them yes, but the exact same build... probably not. I would recommend getting HH and awakened fork, but apart from that build it as budget as you can.
It's an example of the damage type consequences in Poe. Aoe portion or not the damage is still projectile damage I suppose. Just like sweep is both melee and aoe
Can anyone link a PoB of this for starters? Lets say for someone with only afew divines to start and then farm with it and see if i like it to invest more
It feels good for clear even at low investment. Leave the big cluster jewel for last as far as skill tree. I have Indigon, a basic 6L chest with just max spell sup and other random stats (no explode) and am just using a moonsorrow and obliteration for weapons until I can afford these crazy wands. The most expensive thing currently on my build is the right-side cluster jewel, which was about 5d. I'm doing alch and go T16s at level 80. I don't have the totem setup for single target at the moment so some rares/bosses can be a bit painful but I'm really just leveling at this point and getting ready for bigger upgrades.
The reason you can't afford these builds, and never will, is because you see build guides as "either I can play them or this is worthless to me". You have no curiosity to learn basics or mechanics and are therefore perpetually stuck in a loop of mediocrity in one of the most knowledge based games, without the want to learn and get better at it. This means you'll see more and more videos that aren't "made for you" over time, as other players improve and can afford endgame builds eventually, making you even more resentful.
Shipping alone this league will nett you 2 mirror shards (75div), passively, every few days or so...for doing nothing except engaging with the mechanic. Get off you high horse and use your time constructively, instead off making dumb statements in the comments section.
@zestylem0n There's a video by BuffaloBaron called "How can I make currency in Path of Exile." It sounds like another baity "be rich like me" video, but it's not. I've played POE for years and basically, I felt the same as you before watching that, and I feel more like what ole Pal said above now. It wasn't so much about the strategies he talks about, but for me it was the shift in mindset. The problem is that you know POE is complex, but it's actually more complex than you think. It's not enough to pick a build, pick a strategy, and follow both. It all has to fit together. You first need to have some idea of what content you want to play in the game that you enjoy. You have to pick a build that you like AND that is suitable for what content you enjoy in the game. Ideally, the build you enjoy can "do all content," but that's typically unlikely unless you have the knowledge/skill to throw mirrors at a build. There have definitely been patches in the past where a 1ex build could do most everything, but that's not the norm. Ok, so you picked a build and an actual strategy (not just "I run maps") that work together. Still not enough. You need to understand how it works well enough that you don't have to ask Mr. RU-vidr what to buy next. That means you probably need to play something multiple times to get familiar with some things or, regardless, be prepared to learn. Anyway, I've never had a mirror, but I also haven't necessarily needed one. It seems like this build can do quite a bit with less investment. That's not true for all builds, but that seems to be the case for this one. Anyway... Go check out that vid, brother. It really changed the game for me. Hopefully it will for you to. Making builds and videos like this is clearly a ton of work. The least we can do is meet him halfway and put in some of the initial work.
It's a 40 minute video with every detail explained and a POB to match. POE isn't for you my friend, maybe try Diablo 4? It requires a lot less brain power :)
You did not even listen, he said 1/2 mirror build. He built it as a high investment, it was never his intention to make it budget nor is he obligated to. However, he did say that he might ivnestigate a budget version. He does not have to catter to your needs, also try stretch your brain and see if you can break down the build and make it budget yourself, you might fail or succeed, enjoy the process or dont. Your choice
